GendunDrup Posted November 9, 2014 Posted November 9, 2014 Hey, these boots right there won't appear in game, but I can see them in nifskope. Does anyone know why? Boots_0.nif
gvman3670 Posted November 9, 2014 Posted November 9, 2014 Do you have both the _0 and _1 nif files? If there is only one I don't think they'll even show up.
GendunDrup Posted November 9, 2014 Author Posted November 9, 2014 I don't, but that isn't the problem since I have plenty of armors that are only _0, the cuirass and gauntlets are only _0 and they show up
myuhinny Posted November 9, 2014 Posted November 9, 2014 Try making a copy of the boots_0.nif and then changing the copy to boots_1 and see if that works. As some things will appear incorrectly will have deformations or not appear in game if there isn't a _0 nif file and a _1 nif file sometimes may even cause a CTD.
GendunDrup Posted November 9, 2014 Author Posted November 9, 2014 That did not work, it is still invisible
FastestDogInTheDistrict Posted November 9, 2014 Posted November 9, 2014 *Do the boots actually have textures assigned to them via the BSLightingShader property? And, if so, are those textures actually present in the correct location in your Data folder?
GendunDrup Posted November 9, 2014 Author Posted November 9, 2014 That wouldn't make them invisible, that would make them purple. But there are textures
azmodan22 Posted November 9, 2014 Posted November 9, 2014 In the Textures directoy I see that the textures are pointed in Morrowind. If this is a nif taken from morrowind it will work in skyrim. It needs to be converted.
GendunDrup Posted November 9, 2014 Author Posted November 9, 2014 Its not from Morrowind, that is just the file pathing since its a Morrowind styled armor. Its the boots from a Morag Tong armor set
GendunDrup Posted November 9, 2014 Author Posted November 9, 2014 The rest of the set works, just not the boots
Aegis Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 Just a little nifskope glitch. Try this. Boots_0.nif
GendunDrup Posted November 10, 2014 Author Posted November 10, 2014 Great! Thank you. Can you tell me how exactly you fixed it though for the future?
