Cien Posted November 8, 2014 Posted November 8, 2014 Hello When I open Loverslab.com Chrome tells me here is Malware... I have made a screenshot of it but its german   It says that the Malware comes from juicyads.bz So when you use an add blocker you are safe but so we cant support the forum. I just wanted to get some attention for this so it will be fixed and i can disable my add blocker again
gvman3670 Posted November 8, 2014 Posted November 8, 2014 I got something like that, for a split second only, a week or so ago. It was Microsoft Security Essentials that threw up a flag. But it hasn't done it since.  It's the ads. Ashal doesn't really have a lot of control over that, though.
Guest carywinton Posted November 8, 2014 Posted November 8, 2014 Send a PM to Ashal he is the forum/site Administrator, he will take care of the problem.
Chaos63 Posted November 8, 2014 Posted November 8, 2014 It's happened once before. Just addblock and noscript until we get the green light.
Sunja44 Posted November 8, 2014 Posted November 8, 2014 Same here. Got a similar message from Mozilla that LL is an "attacking website using malware". Me seems all browsers got a security feature update recently for identifying malware, because I browse though this forum since a couple of years and never got such a message. Â My own malware applications (Malwarebytes, GData Anitvirus etc.) do not like this site at all though, but I rate it as save by manual override for those applications :-) As I always use Adblock plus and NoScript it doesn't bother me. Using those two browser addons has no negative impact. I am able to browse the sites even faster (no banners), site build up is faster (because of Noscript) and I still can download my stuff. Â I do a global malware search for all my hard drives once a week though. Â I love this community, but I do not trust the site :-)
JDough Posted November 8, 2014 Posted November 8, 2014 Same here, all of a sudden while trying to load http://www.loverslab.com/forum/52-hdt-physics-extension/ points me to https://safebrowsing.google.com/safebrowsing/diagnostic?client=Firefox&hl=en-GB&site=http://www.loverslab.com/forum/52-hdt-physics-extension/ where it simply states that the page did not show up with any malicious behaviour for the past 90 days... weird... Â [EDIT]: funny: when using the "ignore warning" link at the bottom of that message it loads the page but shows a notification bar at the top where you can click "this isn't an attack page".... which tries to load a page in a new tab failing with: "Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at en-gb.malware-error.mozilla.com." Â ... right... now THAT is trustworthy...

I'm getting the same thing trying to load that topic, and right now also getting it every time I try to look at the Zaz Animation Pack support thread in the Skyrim adult mods downloads forum. I had it on a couple of other threads a couple of hours ago but can't remember which ones.

If the problem is the site itself then that would place suspicions on Ashal and staff...unless that is what you mean. Â

If the problem is the site itself then that would place suspicions on Ashal and staff...unless that is what you mean.    Of course I meant the ads, thx for adding the important detail :-)  I understand that cheap and maybe even site space for free comes along with sometimes annoying advertising banners and popups, but there might be different quality levels of annoyment and some stuff might be truly harmful. I admit that there are some banners here on LL I liked to look at (those glorious sexy "Skyrim style" naked woman warrior pics looked not that bad at all :-)Â
fizzybutt Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 The problem isn't the ads themselves are truly bothersome. ... for the most part, lol. But lately there has been an alarming surge in using ads to infect computers with nasty beasties. Chrome actually blocked my gmail the other day because of a malware ad. Needless to say I was really surprised at first when that big red page popped up rather than gmail  It's always been done but you had to be silly enough to actually 'click' on those ads. I remember back when facebook was still fairly new and accidentally clicking on one of those 'ads' disguised as one of their apps games; there was hell to pay until I cleaned it out. But now it just has to pop up on your screen and you're screwed.  And it doesn't just affect those of us who have to battle the malicious ads, but it affects the website owners like Ashal too. That's how they pay for part of the site, through us viewing those ads.  What I don't get is how its being allowed to use ads to dynamically (nonaltruistically? words fail me here) place things on your computer. When was that begun to be allowed and why hasn't it been stopped yet is something I'd be interested in learning.
darkminxi Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 Just recently, when browsing Loverlab forums, I keep getting a warning from Avast, saying it's blocked a harmful webpage. It gives me a URL of "infection blocked"
hentaijin Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 Â It is quite expensive for Ashal to supply the bandwidth for this site etc. I've always wondered how the forum was funded. With the downloads and all it must use a lot more bandwidth than a typical forum.
AimoHauki Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 Yup, Avast just went crazy a few minutes ago for the very first time ever on this site. Something's up
orgs1n Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 Same here. Avast started complaining yesterday, stopped doing so just now.
LaurieNymph Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 There`s malware everywhere.Unless you are new to the internets you should know how to block it by now.(Adblock at the very least) I have yet to get a warning about LL and I have been coming here for awhile. So it can be done as I am far from the brightest lightbulb in the room.Â
Guest anonimouss32231 Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 i don't think this malware come from advertising, i have 2 adblock active and i get always warning avast from loverslab when i go to see mod. For esample here http://www.loverslab.com/forum/51-downloads-sexlab-framework/
CrimsonBlood2012 Posted November 13, 2014 Posted November 13, 2014 i'm using avast ! free anti virus, it could be the browser addons you have installed on your tool bar, i got advised to get rid of them, since then i've had no malware from this site
Phoenix1au Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 I find this interesting why you ask?, well I don't run any add blocker nor firewall nor virus scanner (my ISP has my net access set two twin (staic and dynamic IP addresses) plus a ISP firewall) and not once have I come across the mentioned problem of malware from this site, granted given I'm only online for average of 5 days per month due to pre-paid internet (6 gig of data credit dont last long when you chew up 20 megs per page,10 meg per connection...not including the downloads i do of mods for skyrim plus other games i player...lol). One site I wont mention what one (hint: has a mod manager named after it in the first part of the manager's name) has a couple of times been flagged by spybot S&D even glary tools has flagged that site's cookies; but yet again not once have I had any problems here. But that could be because I've not came across any of those ad's mentioned. I'll follow this thread to see what other's say about it and thankyou all for being part in me learning of this problem.
Xeraser Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 Hasn't happened to me yet and I'm using Chrome with ABP. (On W7) Â I should mention I don't have a single Antivirus, yet I've never had any problems.
Minoumimi Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 i use juicy ads on some page, well used to i remove it when this started and it was from juicy ads they sent a personal email to people to apologise and to say that it should be fixed now id suggest going with exoclick has i never had problems with them on my website
eifrag Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 not even in the site, I just typed loverslab in google search then bam 'threat detected' stooopid avast go to sleep, I have mods to download
TheSGC Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 Had to add ll to exceptions. annoying as fuck.
