Oxomoco Posted November 5, 2014 Posted November 5, 2014 Sorry if that's worded kind of weird. But i'm wondering if this is possible. I just got a new follower, created a new more voluptuous body for her in Bodyslide and dropped it into the mod folder in Mod Organizer directory. Works great, but only when she's naked... obviously. When she's clothed, her armour is the same size as everyone else's... and so she becomes a lot skinnier. My vanilla armours have all been replaced with CT77s remodelled armours, and the HDT/TBBP effects are amazing, but i feel like i need some more variation in body shapes and sizes, at least for my followers. I rebuilt the leather armour she wears to fit her new body shape, but i can't figure out a way to put this in game, without all characters who wear this leather armour becoming incredibly curvy. So, my question is, using Mod Organizer, is there any way to make the armour my follower wears 'unique' compared to other NPCs who wear the same type of armour? I should clarify that this is with the 'vanilla' armours, like iron, steel and hide, etc; so i could batch build the vanilla armours to her body shape, and then potentially give her any of them in a playthrough, and they'd fit her but not affect other NPCS. Of course i could just download a custom HDT enabled armour and build it to her body, spawn it in and give it to her, as then no other NPCs would have it, but i'd do that only if this method isn't possible as it's kind of restricting for gameplay/roleplay purposes to have such a limited selection of usable armours. I have a feeling this is impossible... and that if it is possible.. it's not going to be simple, but i hope someone can clear this up for me Perhaps i should have posted this in tech support :/ but thanks in advance to anyone who can help!
nitrobum Posted November 5, 2014 Posted November 5, 2014 as far as i know you cant that way.but you can recreate her ...AND.... the armor in CK i think.and her leather will be hers and not other npc. but im only a lowly bodyslide user, not an actual modder,( who could change lives if they make it work otherwise! and make everyone love him or her.)
Oxomoco Posted November 5, 2014 Author Posted November 5, 2014 Haha yeah, same boat as me! Us bodyslide peasants... ^^ That's what i figured though, i guess it's just impossible to have two versions of the same armour mesh in one game without changing some other important data about that mesh, and that CK is the answer for that. I think you're right, unfortunately i have absolutely no experience with the CK and i imagine something as simple as this is beyond me unless there are some very easy to follow vids or tutorials out there!
myuhinny Posted November 5, 2014 Posted November 5, 2014 You could change her body out with the armor nifs and then name them femalebody_0 and femalebody_1 not sure if there is anything else that would need to be done or not but I have seen other followers done that way.
therevenant Posted November 5, 2014 Posted November 5, 2014 just look for a version of the vanilla armors that are a non replacer. then craft them at the forge. I have cbb unp and 7base armor versions in my game for variety
ousnius Posted November 5, 2014 Posted November 5, 2014 Use the standalone archive of Remodeled Armor instead of the replacer one. I think using both at the same time isn't recommended, but you can try.
shadow866 Posted November 5, 2014 Posted November 5, 2014 There are 2 ways to make a Armor "unique". 1. Is by making that armor craftable in CK. Takes a bit of work but there are plenty of guides how to make a standalone armor craftable. Its pretty easy once you know how and very quick, like 5 min. 2. Is just to download another armor set thats already craftable and just replace the meshes in that pack with with your custom meshes. Remember that you have to rename the meshes to the same name of the pack. Either way it has to be a new armor if you dont want it to replace vanilla armors. Hope this helps. Good luck!
Oxomoco Posted November 5, 2014 Author Posted November 5, 2014 Thanks for all the help guys! I'm sorry i'm too stupid to understand how Myuhinny's suggestion would work. But I like the idea of creating the armours as unique versions in CK though, so i'm going to see if i can find some good tutorials on this and give it a shot. I have a sinking feeling that my installation of CK doesn't work right with my game as all my data is in the Mod Organizer directory, but time will tell. Anyway, it's about time i got to grips with some basic uses of the CK. In the meantime, i think i'll try option 2 and just try add in a standalone set of armours to get the job done. This seems like a good enough solution for the time being, and blindingly obvious too in hindsight! Lawd have mercy of my Bodyslide outfit list... EDIT: So i tried option 2, no luck so far with the standalone option. I downloaded CT77s Remodelled Armor again, installed it with the 'standalone' option in the Fomod, but just from looking at the Mod Organizer conflicts section, it seems that it still overwrites all the armors from my 'replacement' version of CT77s armour. I guess it's not possible to have both versions at the same time. I'll try and find a standalone set created by a different author. Anyone know of any other good HDT enabled vanilla armour remeshes?
myuhinny Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 Your followers body nifs should be named femalebody_0 and femalebody_1 all you have to do is find your followers nif files under meshes - actors - character and search for your followers folder and make a new folder and move the followers body nifs to it so that they can be added back if needed. Then make copies of the armor_0 and Armor_1 nif files that you want her to wear and place them into her folder and then rename the armor nifs to femalebody_0 and femalebody_1. I have a follower that has her outfit set up this way.
