SKSE crash on Steam update

Steam just updated itself (automatic)  Since then I can't open SKSE.  Skyrim launcher works but no SKSE-related mods like SL or SkyUI.

 

Do I need to get an updated patch or just reinstall SKSE?

Even when you start SKSE_Loader.EXE in the games install folder directly?

I guess so.  Vanilla still works fine.

My Steam updated yesterday, but I have no problems running SKSE. I'm running 1.7.1. Any luck trying to launch SKSE_Loader.exe as CGi suggested?

Nothing.  Though Vanilla launcher works fine.  Got the right versions; tried reinstalling SKSE, same problem.

 

Had problems with AVG and other games, so maybe if I run an AVG scan since the Steam update something might change.

yeppers If steam re validated everything the SKSE may need to be re installed. It really messes with the CK if you re validate your install.

If you have SKSE installed you never ever start skyrim again with launcher.

 

I got same update as you and have no problems.

 

It's on your end not the steam update, it has nothing to do with SKSE or skyrim.

Maybe another mod I installed could be interfering?  Apart from SL-related most of my mods are content: towns, locations, new villages, etc.  I try to stay away from stuff that changes core mechanics or code.

Launch Steam. Then launch skse_loader.exe. Do you get any kind of error?
