Use at your own risk!!

Patches for Lovers with PK plugins:

These patches do modify the original plugins that Modular Beautiful People is no longer required.

If you don't know how to use Wrye Bash then these are not for you, as they are meant to be bashed into Wrye Bashs, Bashed Patch file.

Currently there are patches for:

--------------------------------

LoversMagic (ver 0.51)

LoversNiche

Lovers Prostitute (ver 0.14c)

LoversStupidNPCs (ver 1.06)

TamagoClub (HiyokoGenerator.esp only)

LoversCrowning Isles (1.02.05g)

All patches share one thing in common, you will need the included "Beautiful People 2ch-Ed.esm" file, this file is an empty file,

and just designed that the original plugin will load without producing a CTD, or you having to modify it with each version anew.

If you wish to use the TamagoClub patch you will need the included x117race.esm file as well.

Included are replacer files, these overwrite the original plugin, and remove the master dependency. Use them at your own risk

(the replacer for sure are only the versions listed above, if newer version of the respective mod comes out you will have to wait until i can redo them)

LoversMagic:

------------

Removes the edits to Captain Renault (starting dungeon) to revert her race/face/hair/etc to default oblivion

Changes the NPCs to only use vanilla Oblivion resources (that way if you use some beautification mod, they will be altered as well, else they will stay vanilla)

LoversNiche:

------------

Removes the Cosplayer Race from the Race selection screen

Actually nothing else needed to be changed, so you could even omit this one, but i made it for myself because i didn't want the race to show up in the selection

LoversProstitue:

----------------

Changes the Prostitues to only use Vanilla resources.

(this is still a testing patch, so be sure to keep that in mind)

LoversStupidNPCs:

-----------------

Changes the NPCs to use only vanilla resources, does a few additional changes (Donkey teh Baker is no longer always a khajiit)

Will in future version change the haircolor for all NPC, away from the pink color, as well as edit the names abit (Female Nudist just is too generic :-)

they will get different ones)

There is another patch file that can be used to change the morning wake up girls to use the Trokturian Cow race.

TamagoClub (HiyokoGenerator.esp):

---------------------------------

Changes the child entrys in the file to only use Vanilla races, this may result in larger "children" than with x117 usage

(this is still a testing patch, so make sure to keep that in mind)

LoersCrowningIsles:

-------------------

There are actually several files for this one, replacer and "*noMBP.esp" will just remove the MBP dependancy, reverting all races to Vanilla resources.

For those that have "Asharas Sirens and Tritons" installed there is anotehr very small patch file that changes all Sirens to use the races added by Asharas Sirens

and Tritons race.

Future patches:

---------------

I do have planned to modify some more plugins to work without MBP, but unless someone comes out and posts a request in the thread, only those that i use as well :-P

About the help file for load order, this one contains definitions for BOSS you can use and just copy to your own "userlist.txt" file

Install:

--------

- BAIN version:

If you use Wrye Bash Bain you can use the included Wizard for BAIN to install the patches or replacers.

- Manual:

Copy "Beautiful People 2ch-Ed.esm" and the patches you want to use to your Data folder, be sure to install the original plugin as well.

If you wish to use HiyokoGeneratornoMBP.esp copy "x117race.esm" as well.

(or use the replacers without teh need to use "Beautiful People 2ch-Ed.esm" and "x117race.esm")

- For all:

If using BOSS edit your userlist.txt file and add the definitions in the load order help file

Run BOSS if you use it or make sure that each patch plugin is directly below its respective master plugin

Start Wrye Bash and rebuilt your Bashed patch file.

make sure that the patch files are merged into the Bashed patch file (that way you wont need to keep them active)

while rebuilding the Bashed patch, DO NOT bash in the "Beautiful People 2ch-Ed.esm" and "x117race.esm" under Races, BOSS will add tags to this file, but do not bash it in.

If you have some problem please let me know (or if i missed something), but be sure to be as descriptive as possible:

saying "It does not work" will not help much,

"It produces a CTD upon loading my old savegame" would be more helpful

Awesome work!

One of the things I disliked about the MBP requirement was that it overwrote my "Unholy Darkness" mod and I can no longer look like the vampire that I am. I will have to figure out how to uninstall MBP and use this instead. Kinda worried how the kids will look though...anyone have any screenshots? Like....a "before and after" of using this MBP replacer?

Thanks for the great work!

problem with "kids" is that as the x117 races are no longer used, they will be default size, if i ever want to change that will need to take a look at the script and add a resize too it (but that may take abit, should be possible since the same is done for creatures, but with characters, this will result in funny positioning when the npc is sitting, etc)

DOH! Well, I will have to find some way to have the "Unholy Darkness" mod take precedence over the MBP. I miss seeing my wretched vampire face...

May be a dumb question, but did you first install MBP? Or did you do Unholy Darkness first? If the second is the case, try reapplying UD, to see if that fixes it. ('Cause it would re-replace any replaced textures). No guarantees, though

I've tried reapplying everything from the UD folder. For some reason, it doesn't trump what MBP does. I even put UD last in my load order and still get the cutesy-looking vampire with no baring-fangs anymore. My vamp used to be sooo badassed...

Update:Updated the patch and replacer for CrowningIsle by Galgat to his latest version (1.02.05g)

I may have found a problem/glitch with the patch for Lovers Prostitute. With the noMBP patch merged in I still got a warning coming up every few seconds to warn that Beautiful People was required.

I opened up the Lovers Prostitute mod in the CS and had a look at the scripts, there's a section in the xLoversProSC script (03002AAB) which seems to be looking for a particular file?

if FileExists "Data\meshes\Characters\KKK\KKK014.nif" == 0

MessageBox "LoversProstitute: MOD is essential to the operation of our WARNINGS "Modular Beautiful People 2ch-later versions of Edition + + v0.8.6 ƒÀ" is not installed."

endif

Not sure if commenting it out would break the script (I've not done any scripting since Commodore Basic in the late 80s!) so I put in a dummy file in the location mentioned. Seems to have fixed it but I'm not sure if there'll be further ramifications.

Thanks for the nice work, I'd rather have vanilla NPCs than a bunch of anime characters!

Posted

Tom, these patches are not completely reliable and "could" have unintended complications (should however only be cosmetic in nature). Unfortunately the foreign community that creates a fair portion of these mods is obsessed with anime characters so odds are this will be a continuing challenge. Hats off to alchmo for making them and Ashal for updating.

Posted

I am glad alchmo is doing this. I have wished many times i had not used MBP. It has caused so many so much trouble with my mod. But I wanted all the extra race's that it allowed, and at the time it seems like a good Idea.

Now My Mod has grown so large, it would be very troublesome for me to redo it with out the MBP dependency. So I won't be changing that..LOL

But I know it is a lot of trouble to do this alchmo..Thx U.

And yes alchmo asked me very kindly b 4 he started this.. Removing dependency and translations I have never had a Problem with.

My beef has always been those people that want to remove stuff that offends them...I can never figure that out, come to an adult sight to find adult only stuff, and then when you find it want to change it.

"oh that's to gross,"

"Oh I don't like that kind of stuff"

"oh it would be okay if they would make it just for me..then I would play it"..

"Oh could I take your mod and make it mine..I don't want dirty stuff in my Adult Mod"

these type statements are very offensive to me.

Posted

And thanks to you for your work as well Galgat. Crowning Isles looks great, I tried it first with MBP installed but it just gave me too many problems so I'm going to give it a go with Alchmo's patch. Great to see work like this being done, I just hope Skyrim is as moddable as Oblivion.

I'm even opening up the CS myself to have a poke around, Lovers Prostitute and Lovers Stupid NPC have a bit of a fight outside Anvil, where a tent and a brothel collide, so I'm going to see if I can do something about that. Not sure what the protocol is on fiddling around with other people's mods though. If I can fix it I'll maybe see about incorporating it into a patch though if people don't mind.

Posted

While I doubt anyone would mind you making a patch, it would be best to send a PM to whoever created or translated the mod (There should be a name of the creator or translator in the thread containing the download) before attempting to distribute it. After all it takes a hell of a lot of work to create or even translate these mods!!!! :)

If you are just doing it for yourself and not to distribute then feel free.

Posted

Cheers Gregathit, I'd want to make sure it actually worked first so it would be private. I've not done much with the CS except changing a few stats and variables, so I'm rather feeling my way around at the moment.

If I come up with something I think might make a worthwhile addition then I'll drop it to Alchmo and see if he wants to release it. He's done the vast majority of the work, anything I add would just be a tweak.

of course 5g is quite a way back in the patch orders that I have added, and there are problems with it still.. even the latest version I have released still has a bug in the bull pen area where sometimes the Bulls don't start dialog.

if this happens put a ring or something on, and then after the room punishes you take it off.. that has been working..in the latest versions, but I do not know in 5g.. Made way to many changes sense then. And added a whole lot to it.

But all the graphics issues are pretty much do to poorly installed MBP. Which I know can be troublesome to many people. I used the full OMOD version of MBP, and have never had any troubles with it. And it was simple to install.

Actually if anyone wants to continue this project you are welcome as i'm unable to work on it at all (too much work for us here so not that much free time to continue working on those)

the current ones did not touch the scripts at all, wanted to be sure eveyrthing else works before tackling that part as well, since it is pretty easy to break a script if you comment out one line which is later referenced again only by a token.

if anyone wants to improve the current patches, then be my guest, it will propably not be before next year before i can at least do some more work on them from my side.

Sorry for the casting Revive! on this thread, but thanks are in order for providing such an essential addition to the enjoyment I can take out of LoversPK.

No offense meant, but I can't stand MBP/X117/++/--/part47/whatever.

Honestly, the quality ratio / must be one of the lowest of the whole mod sphere :(

I hope this project will not be abandoned.

Again, thank you for this, and for LoversPK of course!

thanks for providing this addition

no offence for the moderrs of MBP/X117:

i would like to know if you planed to put an esp that not needs the Wrye Bash this would be great.

and for information does it work with LoversTamagoClub aswell ?

thanks again

atm the work is dead, not playing Oblivion anymore atm, too much time with Skyrim, ME1-3, and real-life (the funny game with the great details and enhanced interaction), i may come back at some time to this, but not sure

if anyone wants to pick it up go ahead

and if i remmember right last version contained two plugins for each change, on that was a modifier file NEEDING Wrye Bash, the other a replacer file, that did NOT need Wrye Bash.

both had advantages and disadvantages:

replacer= well pretty easy it does not need you to remake a Bashed Patch file, is the pro, the contra is that it will be the exact version the file was created from, so if the replacer was created with v1.0 and current newest one is 1.2, you will stay at v1.0 if using the replacer.

modifier= independant of the base version (to a degree) as long as no radical changes have been made in the version, it will still change the old stuff leaving the new one unchanged (will only be of use if no additional NPCs got added, since those would still use MBP, etc), contra you need to know your way around Wrye bash and use it, no way around that

thank you for replying

i understand your position  its difficult to manage time between reel life and games i realized after i wrote my commentary the date of posting!

(now that i'm single again i can play again:D)

But anyway it works :P new install + no mbp +no x117 and it did the tric!

no need of anything else.

thanks for this patch and for your time

So I have used these replacers with success I think with StupidNPC (although they are ugly and have pink hair)and Loversmagic, so thank you for that. Tamango though, thats another story.

Anyway, what I'm not clear on is the concept of patchers and replacers. Do I need both or is it a case of either/or? If its the latter how do I decide which is right?
