If they could put the amount of effort and expertise that they put into these amazing sex mods and things they make we could have the best and most talented community available for making mods. People look down on us for being sex addicts, and think loverslab is nothing more than a porn site. I think there should be more people devoted to making real combat, animations, scripts and new explorable lands. You all have so much potential that i feel is being wasted...

LoversLab is an adult orientated community, that means that this site offers all modders a place on which they can focus on adult material. Of course this doesn't mean that non-adult modding has nothing to seek here, still you have to keep in mind that the orientation is rather for adult content.

Sure we have 'potential' as you call it, but the point being is that this here is a place where we can work on what we want and share what we want without senseless restrictions.

Just because someone has 'potential' as you call it doesn't mean it's being wasted. They use it for things they like. If you want a mod you gotta do it yourself. All this stuff is a hobby thing. We don't get paid for doing this stuff, so our only reward comes from working on things we want.

 

Who cares what the 'rest' of the modding community thinks of us. Most of them probably secretly download mods from here whether it be armour mods or actual sex mods.

We have some good folks here who do non-adult mods as well.

 

Plenty of other good sites do the stuff you ask for anyway.

The thing is, all those things you mentioned, you can find everywhere. Adult mods on the other hand, are slim to none.

 

Thus why it just feels like it is in such an abundance here. When you go to those other sites, they have all those things you are looking for and then some. But when it comes to adult mods, you won't find really anything decent. Because those sites don't allow this type of material. This is one site that caters to the adult side of modding, thus why you find so much of it here.

 

It would be like going to an Italian restaurant and asking for chinese food. Why do these amazing cooks waste their time only making italian food when they could make chinese food too? Because it's an italian restaurant. Same principle here. You come to this site knowing it is an adult modding community, and say they are wasting their potential by only making adult mods? It's an adult modding community. What did you expect to find here? If you want regular mods, sure we have those, but the main focus of the site is adult oriented. So of course you're going to find all the adult modders here. You can go anywhere else for regular mods.

 

I've seen your posts. You constantly make requests for big scripted mods, and then you get upset because no one is making it. So after reading this post, I'm assuming you're upset that modders are wasting their time making adult mods when they could be making your mods instead. Eventually, you gotta realize that if you want something done, you need to take the time and learn to do it yourself. A request is exactly that, a request. No one is obligated to fill your request. And getting upset and throwing a fit over it won't make modders want to do it either.

 

Modders do what they want to do. If something appeals to them, they might do that too. But they do what they want, not what people tell them to do. And in an adult modding community, you're going to find that of course most modders here enjoy creating adult mods. Because they CAN. This is one place they can come to work on that kind of stuff without the fear of being banned or ridiculed. Like I said before. You want regular mods and such, you can go anywhere for that. But when you want adult material, you go to an adult modding site. Which is what LL is. Telling them they are wasting their time making adult mods on an adult modding site, makes no sense.

If people making adult mods shift to making other mods, who's gonna make the adult mods? We already have the most talented community - we don't need to prove it by changing what our bread and butter is. The whole point of LL was to have a place where adult modders and downloaders don't get any hassle for it. Still, every type of modding and modder is welcome here and often finds better support here too - provided it doesn't lead to people looking down on adult modding for being what it is, treating it as a lesser art while in fact it's one of the most important driving factors behind innovations in modding all around.

 

People who look down on us, badmouth or spread lies about us don't matter. Changing what we do for their benefit rewards idiocy.

LL is probably the only place i will ever post my mods. Thing is, i don't make any "adult" mods or use any for that matter. I don't wouldn't be exclusively at LL if i had the slightest issue with the sex mods (or adds) i look at them as any other type of mod that is full of murder and drug use in the first place. The sex mod-authors here are here because it's the only site that lets them post their work for public download without a bunch of jackasses whining because someone had the nerve to make a mod that shows titties and -GASP- sex!!! Many of those said mod makers also make normal mods and post them at places like nexus under different names, i know this because i recognize the quality and unique methods at which they make their mods. They are making "normal" mods, as well as the sex ones available here.

Mod authors do this as a hobby. We select the requests that we find interesting or are within our specific type of mod making because we find them interesting and\or challenging. It's not a waste of talent when they make only one type of mod because that may be the only one that they are interested in. Some make high-res armors, some are good at importing, and some make dirty types.

1. You know what i end up working on my own mods anyways, i have made several, a few of which i released here.

2. I don't just petition people, the things i can get done i get done. I ask for help only when needed

If anything there's a glut of people already making those sorts of mods. Look at any other Skyrim modding site, that's basically the majority of what they offer. Toss in a few re-text mods and some followers and you have nexus. What you see here is one of a kind. Nobody has the skills (or the balls) to attempt what Ashal has built here. There is no waste here, what we are witnessing is the flourishing of a talent that has been pushed to the outer edges of the modding community. A bastion of pervs with the time and talent to do what only a few are brave enough to attempt, its not a waste.....it's art...in it's most carnal and perfect form......god damn art.

Origamiboy didn't criticize LL for having sex mods, he just meant that the modders here could easily do "more". But I also see that there are enough mods of other sorts than sex. Sex mods - at least good ones - simply did not exist for Skyrim for a long time.

 

But LL also has other mods that not sex themed (adult oriented can also mean that nudity is involved which you have in most race mods for example).

 

So point being LL fills a gap that you hardly would see filled on the Nexus or other sites. Whoever looks down upon this is just immature and go check his own movie collection for porn and then ask himself again if he should rethink his double standards.

 

Besides: sex in a game is what people always are screaming for: Realism and immersion. The Dovahkiin being just a slaughtering robot always made the character feel shallow for me. When I want to get into my character I'd like to have human aspects in the game. There are mods that add weather effects like Hypothermia which can make your char freeze (even to death), there are mods that make sounds more realistic, there are mods that add needs like having to eat and drink. In how far is that different from the need to have sex?

 

I don't know what drives people to classify basic needs in good and bad (I don't mean you, but there are a lot of these prudent arseholes out there). That is neither logic nor a sign of a "good" ethic compass. It's just a degenerated and deranged Zeitgeist that absolutely sucks and denies human nature.

Let's flip the script, there are "normal" mods out there with whole new land masses to explore, new enemies, multiple questlines, side quests and story, with custom NPCs with voice actor to boot...

You know what would be cool? If they can do "more" by making sex mods that have all of those!

 

As many have said this place spawn out of a need for a place to host, discuss, create adult mods without much restriction unlike most big named popular site out there. Of course this place will seem focused on adult mods. If anyone want to make/discuss "normal" mods there are other bigger sites for that. And just compare how many new mods get upload here and how many get upload in other big named "normal" sites you will see that they outnumbered LL by magnitudes.

Every mod has it's own forum attached, therefore, you can just click the support topic button on the mods page to be directed to the corresponding forum. There are actual forum sections that are devoted to adult discussions including sex in the "adult stuff" option of the threads list. 

I don't believe the whole point of LL is about sex mods Ashal himself said as much, yes, it is a large focus of that but there is plenty of lee-way for general and non-adult content as well. Though, the fact is people come here for the type of mods (sex) that nobody else is willing to make or offer.

This is why I believe my assessment is more correct. He doesn't want what he asked for, since it's already being delivered (From FONV land, NX and the last dozen or so releases of NVSE and FOMM came from here as well). He wants what he wants. "Combat mods" and so on.

I'm going to be honest, i came here for the sex mods. Love fucking everything with my male Dragonborn, Champion, Wastelander. Probably one of the few that plays with a male PC around here. Regardless of what's being made here it still shows that this is probably the most talented and hard working modding community there is. Period. And there's still plenty of non-sex-related stuff here as well, and that stuff tends to be heads and shoulders above the average files at Nexus and other places.

 

I say these folks should just keep up the good work.
