I've posted in the sexout thread on hongfire. I invited everyone participating there to come here as well and just mentioned the few rules LL has that are different from HF -- mainly no software piracy and no (even virtual) kiddie porn. Loogie posted there as well. The anti-kiddie-porn note started such a shitstorm that Ashal got involved eventually.

 

I haven't posted since, and won't.

 

HF has had an anti-piracy rule for years now, so the only dloads you can find there are user contributed. Since Japan's laws changed regarding depiction of minors in sexual situations, that's been toned down a bit as well. You still have some militant lolicons who enter discussion threads ready to tear into any game that doesn't specifically pander to their tastes, but they aren't very good bullies after you feed them their testicles. A general anti-kiddie porn notice is still troll bait, and if you're deliberately asking for the flames, of course administrators will intervene.

 

The thread is still there, I'm certain you can find it if you look or just search on my name. It started out innocent enough, I just said hello, welcomed them over, and gave a polite warning that if they did visit they would have to understand the LL rules are somewhat different.

 

The pedos came out exactly as you describe and it turned into a shitstorm that I let myself get sucked into, like a moron.

I don't really know what happened, because I can't find your name in a search there. So I can only make guesses about it. On one hand, if you invited the community with the insinuation that they're all such pedophiliacs that they'd have to leave their kiddie lust at the door to enter, I imagine people would be offended. On the other hand, there are some defensive lolicons with more clout than they deserve ready to take offense no matter how reasonably phrased.

I just went and looked, the thread has been 'sanitized', all the posts related to CP/loli have been removed, and it's only 4 pages long now. It was nothing like you describe, however. Isn't there already a site or two dedicated to serious modding, to the exclusion of adult mods?

 

Maybe if there were some site left for adult mods to go, we would find out what modders really want to mod, and what users really want to dload.

Are you for real? Such a place can not exist, because modders have to do serious modding

on what *I* demand, not waste there talent on a website no one will visit anyway!

 

 

 

You know, I followed a link here from Hongfire, which is a great example of where interests, especially modders' interests, congregate. It's a discussion forum for anime, manga, music and games, but if you scroll more than halfway down the forum list, you'll see most the activity is going on in the Hentai section. And any adult game mod or translation that didn't originate there has a thread, including LoversLab. There's an awesomely talent pool of modders there who have a great interest in adult games, even if the mods they produce don't contribute specifically adult content, they make it for adult games.

I came across this site some time back, but never joined it. I actually kind of enjoy the fact that there's actual adult-oriented mods on here for me to add to my game. I'm a little pervy myself, and to find mods that allow my characters to get down and kinky in various ways that's actually true to them is awesome frankly! I understand not wanting to have a solitary reputation in terms of modding. But, sometimes, it's not so bad to stick with what you know! <3
