Meng Yi Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 Hi guys, I've got an issue (might wanted to say two, but they can be related) with a new installation of skyrim. Let me explain : at the end of last week, i noticed that my current save was corrupted somewhere and, to be sure to get rid of all issues, i've completely uninstall skyrim then I install it once again, i checked that everything was working and I started to install the mods. After all the installations, i wanted to start a new game, i started to receive errors about skse not running or that my version of skyrim was too old. List of messages that appeared : SOS : SKSE not found or too old SkyUI : SKSE is not running SexLab : Outdated SKyrim I checked the version of skyrim and skse : Skyrim : 1.9.32.0.8 (the last if I trust Steam) SKSE : 1.7.0 rel 45 (the last alpha available on their site) SKSE is detected by the game itself, as I can see its version number in the menu. Did somebody ever encounter these issues ? Many thanks for your help, Meng Yi
TheDriedFinger Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 I'm no expert, but I would suspect an improper/incomplete installation of SKSE (i.e. enough to have the game claim that you have v1.7.0 installed, but not actually enough to be functional). When I install SKSE, I download the .zip file and install it manually by dragging the contained files into my installation folder.
Meng Yi Posted June 3, 2014 Author Posted June 3, 2014 quite strange, i used the install thinking all was good, i've checked if the needed files were there. You were right, i used the files contained in the .zip file, and it works perfectly now, no issues anymore. Thanks a lot
