Which animations do you really use?

I noticed that I dislike several animations and always tick them off as soon as I reinstall SexLab. Someone else may happily get along with brutal rape, bad animations or the slurping sound of anything oral but I don't, and the next guy who thinks choking my character while fucking her is an awesome idea, will lose his hands afterwards.

 

So, by default I tick off:

 

- spiders, chaurus, horses, vampire lords, wolf/dog missionary

- everything that treats women as inflatable, weightless fuckdolls

- everything that slurps (I really don't like that sound)

- everything that bends the male or the female body in a way that's not humanly possible

- everything that has the man's body not move at all and never make a sound while the women squeals her voicecords out

- everything "consentual" that chokes the woman's throat, breaks her arms, her spine and/or splashes stuff into her face

- sometimes, I even turn off animations that don't have a "real" ending"

- in short: depending on my mood, I may end up with "missionary", "doggy", and "masturbation". And that's it.

 

Now I know that my preferences aren't yours, and while I dislike many of the available animations, I'm 1.) grateful we do have animations at all, and 2.) absolutely not trying to judge anyone or anything here. I would just like to know if there are any animations you can really live without. Or, on the other hand, if you have any "favourites".

lol, then why use sexlab at all?

all of the animations break or contort the actors into something unsightly... even the nicest ones destroy the hands or thighs...

 

anyway...as with most sexual media, its first the idea that draws attention, then its the actual whatever it is you can call the sexlab animations...

Then you use no animation at all ?? Because all of the animations somehow contains some of your points.

 

Btw the most realistic once are not made animators but by BVH if you know what BVH is is a tool and a device you place around your body and the tool itself will simulate the movements.

 

This is currently the way animations are being created for games. check out GTAV and you can point out that that is not made by a person but a tool.

 

What we are talking about here is Motion Capture.

Actually, I asked a simple question: "Which ones do you use" - not "Why are they all so bad that I don't want to use them" or "Why may I use sexlab only if I like every single animation no matter the quality".

that's Data\Sound\fx\SexLab\fxOral01\*.wav, replacing or removing them, plus rebuilding in the MCM menu, will solve this little issue.

but with the other mentioned problems we'll prolly just have to wait for some new animations :dodgy:

If only Bethesda learned how to use BVH Then we would had at least better walking, running etc.. animations available.

 

 

 

Imagine doing motion capture for Giant animations..... oh wait xbiggrin.png.pagespeed.ic.yJVH25T4ne.png

 

It is still possible, just ask a real tall person to make some movements for you instant Giant. Maybe Shaqeal O'Neal NBA Champion ??  :D

I'm a little less fussed about which animations I use.  I think there's only one or two that I disable altogether, the rest I'll leave in.  Using things that cause NPCs to engage in activities, I figure the variety can't hurt.  I think of it this way.  Maybe my character won't do *whatever action*, but that doesn't mean no one in the world would.  I didn't think there were a many animations that contorted bodies weirdly, some flexibility would be all it took to be able to move like that, and given the environment the game puts your character in, you'd think the dragonborn would have to be pretty fit and limber.  I couldn't see myself choking someone during sex, but it doesn't bug me or anything in SL animations, and jizz can end up in some crazy places depending on what someone might be into.

 

I think the only animation I actually disable is the fisting one, half because I don't like that one much and half because it never seems to line up right on my game, so I'll have some dude punching the air several inches above some woman while she writhes in ecstasy on the floor, seeming at the thought of the hand above her.  I don't really use a couple standing animations on account of how uncomfortable they look and that I can never get the damn things to line up right, but I still leave them activated, since changing to a new one's only a button press away.  Animations where the man does't move much... sometimes the man's not in a position to move much, just like how sometimes the woman only has so much ease of movement.

 

As for animations that don't look as good, I see it this way:  Sometimes sex is ugly.

 

I guess at the end of the day, I just use SL for quick porn in a game, or to add something other than repetitive bandit killing/making iron daggers, and I'm pretty easy going about what's involved in it.

I now want to see a killmove preformed by giants where they pick you up and slam dunk you.  Someone get on this!

I dont use any of the animal animations currently but I use most of the regular sex ones, I only untick the ones that I think have bad animations or dont line up properly no matter what I do. So I use most of the regular animations really.

I realise that many of them might be silly or unrealistic but if they look good I can live with that.

This is also what i do. Almost all AP animations belong in this category.

 

I don't use what seems broken (doesnt line up properly) or unrealistic (see first line). Everything else is fine.

Of late, I have been interested in animations that are staged better then other ones or at least look better. Those would be Zyn Femdom, Double Penetration, Zyn doggystyle, footjob and bleagh FeMast. There's a missionary anim with nice stage transition but I don't remember what it was.

I personally try not to be *too* picky with my animations, both because I know someone worked hard on them and there really aren't that many to begin with, and I like as much variety as possible.

 

That said, I disable many of the AP animations, because they tend to be so bad as to be immersion breaking for me. Thankfully, a few really talented animators have shown up on Lovers Lab, so the list of quality animations is steadily growing... I just wish someone would go back and revisit those AP animations because most of them have potential if they could just be cleaned up.

I really think it's time to just cull all the AP animations from Sexlab, or at least default them off. Nearly all of them have way better alternatives already included.

I still hope that Oblivion's animations for LAPF (Lovers with PK) will be converted someday. These are brilliantly crafted, there are less than five animations for skyrim of that quality.

I don't use fisting, for whatever reason when I was testing mods I always get fisting, so in a way I guess I sort of got bore of it, and it also doesn't carry any noticeable tag that affects stuff like pregnancy, apropos, and I think wear and tear, not too sure tho.

I shut off ridiculous animals like Bears and Dragons.  As well as all the AP animatiions and anything that says "Standing" in it or "Fisting".

 

I know it takes a lot of work to make animations, and I'm personally not capable of even making a bad animation, but that doesn't mean I want to watch others's animations who are.

 

I think the best animattion in the game is the one where the girl is riding ontop of the male and just grinding away or doing light up/down bobbing.  Its extremely well done and doesn't have over-exaggerated motion where the penis has to completely leave the female's body with every thrust.

I don't have any of the bestiality stuff, nor any triggers for that or the rape animations, so I can't comment on those. There are quite a few I don't like as much, but I still find them useful since some experimenting with positioning can yield interesting screenshots. I don't really mind cycling through until I find something I like.

 

My biggest problem is that I play a Transgender character, and since she uses the male animation set on a female frame, most of the time the animations don't line up well no matter how you position the characters. Further, a lot of the animations make the assumption that your character has some kind of a monster cock and won't line up at all no matter how you position the scene. So you (or the male character anyhow) end up dry humping the air or lifting the receiver clear off the cock before slamming them back down again.
