Upon installing several lovers mods the noobie way (all of them at once, no individual testing) and Beautiful People, everyone on the planet has lost their eyes except the player. My head hurts far too much to even attempt to solve this myself, but I have a feeling BOSS derp'd up my load order. I would be extremely grateful for any help!

 

Oh, and trying to enter "Silverhome on the water" is an instant CTD every time.

You are ignoring the posted load order that we give you in the pinned thread, so of course you are having problems:  http://www.loverslab.com/topic/4487-please-read-before-posting-here/

 

Go to the pinned thread and look at the example load order and it will be apparent why you are having some of your issues.

 

As to crashing when entering the inn, that is because you have only installed HALF of the required plugins.  You MUST install MBP 1.4a and then install MBP++ v98 and finally the choco elf MBP++ addon.  If you had done this, you would have double the amount of MBP esp files that you currently have in your load order.

 

Oblivion is VERY load order sensitive.  It is critical to maintain this and also to install things in the proper order to avoid issues.

What do the above have in common?  They change vanilla races.  Oblivion works off of a system that the mod that is lowest in the load order wins.  Until you understand how to use wrye bash and create a bashed patch, I recommend sticking with ONE global race changing mod and not trying to get multiple ones to work together.  That is something an advanced modder can do but something someone just starting out should attempt.  Your choice........

Thanks again Greg, normally I would have tried to solve this on my own, but I have a splitting headache from hell that no amount of Motrin is doing any justice for. I'll follow your advice and get back to you.

 

 

I do have the required MBPs, they're just in a different list to the right

Then you have screwed up the install somehow.  If you look at the link for the recommended load order I have given you then you will see the MBP plugins that you should have (they are in red).  You'll see right away that you are missing a BUNCH of them.

Alright I'm still gonna see what I can do to fix it up the way you recommend, but the instructions for MBP said to merge them and make an OMOD if I recall correctly. I'm so scatterbrained sometimes that it's a wonder any of my Bethesda games even work. I'm going to go ahead and thank you right now for your time and patience, what may seem like an obvious answer is more like a giant brick wall to me 

 

Oddly enough, I was able to initially enter Silverhome on the Water without issue, and all my other Lovers mods are working as they should, despite my incorrect install. ONLY ME I guess, haha

When you were able to enter it was it before you installed MONSTERGIRL-CoC? It could be the culprit for the crashing when trying to go to Silverhome on the water. Try turning it off and see it if is. MONSTERGIRL-CoC has a tendency to cause CTD's. It will conflict/cause CTD's with mods that add enemies/people to the same areas sometimes it will just up and CTD for no reason and after that it has to be turned off. That is why I no longer have it turned on and just added the outfits and armors to my chest instead.

ughhh... I hope that's not the case. I'd rather uninstall Oblivion than get rid of Monstergirl haha! But yes I was able to enter Silverhome up until I got myself a Bloodhound companion. Right now I'm still trying to figure out fixing this, and am about to look for Wrye Bash (and spend a few days learning how the hell to use it) This is turning into more work than it is even worth. I may just remove the Lovers mods and forget about them \

 

 

Another thing... half the parts to Beautiful People don't seem to exist anymore, at least on the nexus anyway.

Sorry for the triple post, but I seriously cannot find all the aforementioned parts to the Beautiful People mod. Nexus is turning up some empty links, google is showing me fake downloads full of malware, and I'm considering giving up on the Lovers mods. If there is anyone out there who already has all the parts in a .rar somewhere, I would be extremely grateful!

I never used and installed Beautiful People and I play Lovers Mods. You can play without Beautiful People : Tamago (HiyokoGenerator) , BravilUnderground, Immoral Sisters, ImmoralGuards...

Which Lovers Mod do you want to play and need Beautiful People?

I used that, and trying to load the OMOD in OBMM gave me that popup.

Trying to open it with my UP TO DATE 7zip gives me another error: Cannot open as an archive.

 

Why is it only I have these problems?

To load a omod place it with the .esp's then right click it and use the open with option and select OBMM it will then be loaded into OBMM in the right side double click to install. A Omod is not a rar file so 7-zip will not work on it. Once you get a OMOD into OBMM you can right and extract to folder if you need to extract something from a OMOD.

You can't open a OMOD with a extractor as I posted in the above post it is not a rar/zip type file that is why you are getting that error when trying to use 7zip. To install a OMOD you need to place the OMOD file into your game folder where the .ESP's are at and right click it and select open with that will load it up into OBMM and it will show up in the right hand list.  If there is already one or more there you can right click and select delete. If any of them are installed you need to double click them to uninstall them then delete them. 

 

You can also do the above option and then right click it then go down to extract to folder and that will extract everything from it to the folder that you choose to extract it to.

Why is your OMod in the Data Folder ????? It is no esp or esm.

The MBP is an Omod you must not unpack it. Put it in your Omod Folder. Then open the modmanager. You see the MBP1.4aMBP++0.98.....omod in the right window, click it (Highlight it) then click activate (bottom left)

The Omod will be installed, you must correct the load order.

I tried both the OBMM\mods folder, AND the data folder with this same result.

 

 

 

I seriously believe the OMOD is either corrupt or damaged.

Your Omod is not in the Omod Folder ! Where are your other Omods that I can see in your Mod Manager. The MBP omod must be in the same Folder !

If your MBP omod is in the right Folder you can see it in the mod manger window.

 

And something else

Do not install Oblivion in the folder specified by the Installation ( C:\ programfiles.....), Change it, best not in C: (if your Windows crashed/virus and you must delete whole C all your mods are gone). Problem are the fucking administrator rights, some Oblivion programs do not work right with the standart Folder, or you have Problems to overwrite files,......

For the love of all that is holy....don't install oblivion in the program files directory.  UAC and permissions will jack with you and your game to no end.

Install the game to C:\Games or a different drive and you'll have a lot less problems.

If you still can't get it to work you have two options.  Use BSA commander to extract it (not recommended) or grab an alternate version.

Then you just go to the nexus, download and install the MBP++ v98a, install it, then grab the choco elf addon and install that as well.  Your then patched up and ready to play.

Moving my game directory to /games was sooo fun... having to redirect launchers and such with new filepaths... re-doing my mod list, etc. Still same problem so I'm just gonna try yours, Greg.

 

 

EDIT: I followed the instructions to a "T" and am certain I did the bash and everything else correctly, but now I have a new problem. My game won't launch at all, and OBSE closes and nothing happens.
