Favorite games of all time?

Not sure if there's already a thread for this, but it'd be strange if there wasn't. So I thought it'd be cool for everyone to share their list of favorite games/game series.
 

I'll start: 

 

5. Final fantasy series: The only single player series here (and it's not zelda or metal gear solid, I must be crazy right?!?) But I love the plot/adventure/setting combo that final fantasy games bring. Every one of them creates a new world, a new plot and a new awesome adventure, well at least until 13 came out (barf). Surprisingly the one that got me hooked/my favorite was 12 which I consider to be a very underrated game. But also loved 7 and 10, and still need to play 6 and 9 (which will happen eventually)

4. Conker's bad fur day: swearing furries, plants with huge tits, excessive violence/gore/hilarity, how could you not love this game? I've probably spent months playing the multiplayer modes with friends and the variety of modes is just awesome (your regular fps mode, a mode where you steal dinosaurs eggs as cavemen, a bank robbery mode, etc)

3. Super smash bros (I'LL WIPE THE FLOOR WITH YOU IN ALL OF THEM!!!) seriously people have told me I play this game way too much, I think my kirby in the original N64 version is actually borderline tournament level. Yeah I love this series...

2. Halo series: I've probably spent a good portion of 2 summers playing splitscreen with my buddies. The game was great, but the memories, competitiveness, trash talking was even better. Those summers will probably be some of the best times of my gaming life. 

1. Pokemon (handheld games): I mean who HASN'T played the gameboy pokemon games? (Well I guess the older generation...) They practically made my childhood, and probably many others too. All those hours spent training, trading and battling. I still play every new one I can get my hands on, though it's not quite the same now

I have more games what i realy loves.

1)HOMAM - My second game what i player after Dune.Was 2 cant tell how many time i spend playing it.Homan 3 CE was best for me.I think 3>2>5>1>4 never liked 6 much,too much trouble with it

2)Baldurs gate I,II and planet torment,Fallout 1,2 - realy awesome RPG,propably best

3)Disciple 2 - not much famous game,was relesed in bad time.But realy funy and unique.Unique heroes and leveling unit,combat mode.

4)Morrowind - whole word for explore,many option what to do,spell maker,freedom,char.progress.

5)Worms - best game if you play with more people

6)Lineage 2 - my first MMORPG and only who i play more then 5year,other few month maximal.Kinda sad NCsoft fucked new version.Was realy hardcore on begin and fun latter just like wow.

7)Etherlors 1,2 - this game is hard for desciption but worth trying,and its had awesome story...you will be suprise

8)RA 2,W3,CC:Generals - nice strategy

5| Megaman X4 - Due to the Zero gameplay and how freaking fun the game is in general, this was easily my favorite Megaman game.  Despite being only at number 5, this is also my favorite game to speed run.  God I love this game.

4| Pokemon Y - Nearly perfect, generation 6 was the best generation since Generation 3.  In about 240ish hours, I successfully obtained all 718 Pokemon, including having them in numerical order in the PC, and every evolution of every Pokemon.  I got everything legit, and if it was obtainable in Gen 6, I got it in Gen 6, so basically everything except Legendaries and Unown.  If I couldnt catch it in Gen 6, I transported it and bred it.

3| Metroid Prime 2: Echoes - Metroid Prime is probably my second favorite series of all time, due to how bad the third one was in my opinion.  Had the third one not been so linear, Metroid Prime would be my favorite series.  Of the games though, my favorite was definitely Echoes.

2| The Legend of Zelda Majora's Mask - By far the greatest Zelda game.  Ive played this game so much, I can beat it 100% in 4 cycles, no including the first Deku cycle.  I have the game so memorized, I guided my friend through the water temple over the phone, and he got all the fairies.  I love this game.  I just freaking love it.

1| Doom 2/Brutal Doom - Doom 2 was always my favorite game of all time... until I found Brutal Doom.  While it's not its own game, but a modded engine for Doom, Brutal Doom dethroned Doom for my favorite game of all time.  Excitement, fast paced, chaotic, god I loved Doom 2.  Brutal requires a less chaotic approach, and a more controlled, calculated approach, but considering that it's still got the map layout, and the "rules" of the Doom games, it makes a perfect combination of the modern FPS and the few good mechanics in them, and blends them completely perfectly with the old school chaotic FPS mechanics.

SNES / Genesis era:

2. Wizardry Series (especially 8 though)

3. Castlevania series (haven't played the newest one yet)

4. Metroid series, only the 2d ones though. Never played the 3d/FPS ones.

5. Final Fantasy series. This is #5 because there are several I didn't care for (namely 8,10, and 11) Completely agree with OP about 12 though, it was both excellent and underrated. 12 and 4 were probably my favorites.

Heroes of Might and Magic 3!   one of the best games ever made!

Counterstrike Source!   CS and L2 were my first onlinegames and i still play and love them.

1.) Lands Of Lore, Lands Of Lore 2 - 4.

2.) Might And Magic, Might And Magic 2 - 10.

3.) Rune, Severance Blade of Darkness.

4.) Elder Scrolls Saga, Daggerfall, Arena, Morrowind, Oblivion, Skyrim.

             Warhammer:Shadows of the Horned Rat (When games were unfair and made you scream at the monitor)

             Baldurs Gate 2 (Not much to say about this one ... maybe one of THE best games of all time)

             Vampire Bloodlines (Simply an awesome game filled with atmosphere and in an unusual setting)

             Total War Medieval1 and 2 - Slaughtering lazy peasants and making sure the Holy Roman Empire rules the world? Count me in!

             Batman - Arkham series (I AM BATMAN! Damn, what fine games those are. If you want to feel BATASS play those, and forget about Nolan's pussy Bat)

             Knights of the old republic (Such an awesome era in Star Wars ... sadly no movies about this, instead we'll get Abrams raping the lore of the Expanded Universe)

             Morrowind (I still get all fuzzy thinking back to this game and the countless hours I explored Vvardenfell .. only Dagoth Ur was such a letdown)

             Skyrim - Still playin' it, just awesome, worth every penny I paid

             Fallout 2 - Being a pornstar, selling your body, having sex with a Supermutant? All possible in the 90ties way before Lovers Lab!

             Dragon Age Origins - a beautiful game, a wonderfully designed world again oozing with lore and atmosphere - like a RPG should be! Great!

             Jedi Knight Series - Slicing Stormtroopers with Lightsabers. They don't make games like this anymore ...

             Mass Effect Series Oops, no longer on the list I am afraid ...

These are the ones, that I will say are my favorite games of all times. Sure, I have played other good games as well, but I think it's to early to say "Skyrim" or any newer game.

Infact, most games today are just pure shit. Even if some games look good, they lack real content, and they are just bad. Older games had more meat, and felt more complete.

Without mods, Skyrim Is a big joke and a awful console port. Like most games today.
