Regallag the Perv Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 I've having a weird error that doesn't effect gameplay at all. When I quit to the desktop, either through the menu or using the 'qqq' console command, Skyrim crashes. It isn't a regular CTD, though. I hear the regular Windows 'error beep' and the screen freezes. Then I have to use ctrl-alt-del to open the task manager and use 'end task'. When I have task manager open all I see (except for the task manager window) is the taskbar in it's usual place, and a black screen with a window in the center of it. The window's name is "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library" and it has the following message: Runtime error! Program: C:... R6025 -Pure virtual function call Now I know this can't be something caused by load order or new mods because I didn't install anything new before this started happening. It also happened to me in the past on different saves and a completely different installation. I don't mind it then, but it's getting really annoying. Anyone know what could be causing this? EDIT: Something different just happened. I crashed on quitting like before, only this time I could use alt-tab to get to task manager and there was no black screen and no error window and when I tried to alt-tab back into Skyrim it only showed task manager and the desktop (but the game showed up in task manager as 'running'). WTF is going on here.
Rayblue Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 That error happens when you run out of memory/resources for the game and the engine doesn't terminate properly. You'll be needing a few things to do: 1.) Clean up the .ESM masters with TES5edit 2.) Make sure you're not running too many scripted mods. 3.) Optimize textures. 4.) Better memory management through ENBoost, SSME and others.
Dubhorizon Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 All the above + did you update latest graphics drivers? The two latest Nvidia ones are problematic with Skyrim.
Regallag the Perv Posted April 6, 2014 Author Posted April 6, 2014 Damn, I was hoping it would something simpler. I guess it's about time for a tune up anyway. Thanks for the reply. All the above + did you update latest graphics drivers? The two latest Nvidia ones are problematic with Skyrim. That can't be it, I don't have Nvidia hardware. Thanks though.

I have the same error, but only when I launch the magic Match Maker v6 to start Sexlab v1.59,the game freezes! and get the error Run-Time C++ happens often when you first start Sexlab, the error began to show up first time with the updates of all the SexLab mods, Zaz, PO, SlaveRun etc.. with the old SL v1.57, and not update mods, never happened this error
CGi Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 RunTime errors normally point to an overload on the Papyrus engine or the memory manager itself. Mod updates may come with additonal textures and/or more functionality, resulting in more stress on the engine. First step: Optimize all textures and limit them to 2k. if this solved it: Congraz. if not:Second step: Disable heavily scripted mods, like Maids II, Frostfall, Wet & Cold, Dynamic Things, Footsteps and such.
