Frostfall+Schlongs of Skyrim Compatibility Patch

Note: This patch is for Frostfall 2.5 only. The change that it makes is no longer necessary for versions 2.6 and newer of Frostfall.

This is a very quick edit to one of Frostfall's scripts, enabling it to recognize slot 52 as a main-body slot. This allows Frostfall to recognize armor that SOS has modified (All body armor), for the purposes of exposure protection (Including WEAR).

Wrote this up in about 5 minutes, after not finding anything to solve this problem in about 5 minutes of googling.

Let's have babies! You are my hero, you saved me a lot of trouble. I turned SOS off because of Frostfall issues. No more spouse with a flaccid bean! I fail to see how so many others did not manage to make a patch. Well done. :)

I can understand the Frostfall team's reluctance to associate with Schlongs of Skyrim, but if it's such a simple fix I guess the code-savvy people made their own fix.

When I first saw this I thought," oh it must make schlongs shrink in the cold" then I read the description, thank you so much, why hasn't this been done before O.o?

Yep: Just a one-line change. Took a few minutes to find the right file/section to edit, and that was pretty much it.

Incredible.

I had this issue for the first time this morning---and lo and behold, there is a fix for it.

You modders/patchers are so damn incredible.  You make modding for us peons so worthwhile.  Thanks a lot, mate.

Frostfall 2.6 just got released.  The changelog states that  it "Fixed an issue where using mods that edit armors to use Slot 52 would cause Inspect Equipment to no longer work."

Does that mean this patch is no longer needed?

Yep, just took a look at Frostfall 2.6's source code: The change that this patch made looks to now be built in to 2.6 proper. As such, it's usage is not necessary for those running 2.6.

I'll still leave it up for those running 2.5.
