About followers, need help to decide : UFO, AFT, EFF .

I agree, nutluck.  It has lots of options that seem rather confusing but thanks to chajapa I can finally get my followers to wear the right armor.  I'm much happier with the mod now.  My next challenge has been trying to get the follower to only draw their weapon when I attack.  I thought that was an option but I can't find how to make that one work either.

 

I did have one funny event happen.  I entered Solitude for the first time and stopped to watch the execution.  While I was watching I saw my follower, Olivia, take off.  I thought, oh, she's going to go sit down, chop some wood or something.  Nope.  All of a sudden I see her run up onto the landing where the execution is happening and attack the executioner.  Needless to say lots o' bloodshed ensued after.

 

I reloaded and asked her to wait outside Solitude the second time.

As I actually finished my reinstallation of Skyrim and was about to install a follower mod, this thread and chajapa's little advice for the AFT outfit system came in handy, thx.

 

I used EFF for my last play through, but decided to give AFT a go this time. Nothing bad to mention about EFF, this mod is rock solide and stable, it has just some issues with special followers like Serana and Frea (not that he bugs anything, he just can't proper handle them, especially their outfits, get used to a naked Serana and Frea when you come home).

 

AFT so far is a blast I admit. I already love the dances, the poses, the make camp feature and especially the outfit management. Clunky dialog menu, but alone the outfit system is worth it. I experience no compatibility issues so far, especially with any SexLab mods. Just leave your follower at home when you have some dark desires.

I only use AFT and I like it but I have had SOME issues.  I did have one of the followers go to sleep after camp was made and she disappeared.  Couldn't really spawn her back (there are solutions out there like commiting a crime and going to jail but I didn't do that so not sure if it would have worked) also had a custom follower that once she woke up from sleep I could not get the Tweak command to come up so I had to re-make her a follower and start from scratch

 

My question to this point is I am unable to use the Tweak command power (I am sure I am missing something but not sure what) I saw the Video with the AFT overview (that menu is amazingly quick in the video but mine is not so) but I have been unable so far to pull it up.  

 

I DO have the categorized Fav menu mod installed but I'm not sure if that is preventing certain actions but I doubt it. 

 

Please advise if you all know guys

I mostly use AFT though it's pretty glitchy at times. It's my prefered because it's easy to find what you're looking for. I've tried UFO briefly but I'm not a fan. AFT is nice because you can make random NPC's your follower.

I have tried 2 different versions of that mod and I can't get the hotkeys to work no matter what I do. 

I was looking at that Follower Mod's scripts and it appears to be changing a LOT of vanilla scripts. I don't know if that's normal for follower mods. But it doesn't matter if I can't make it work. 

 

What about Simple Multiple Followers?

I had AFT for the couple of the last games and I'm now testing the latest EFF beta. AFT gave me some error messages in the papyrus log and so I decided to test the latest EFF. So far so good with the EFF. I only had to add a separate mod to prevent my followers to trip the traps. I didn't remember how frustating that is, especially when my current character is a thief.
