Vancien Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 Greetings Everybuddy! My name is Vancien. I am rather new to this wonderful space called Lovers Lab. I discovered this site, much like many other folks do searching for Skyrim enhancement. At first, I only viewed, kept quiet mostly and only posted if I needed serious assistance. This site is much more active with technical responses than that other place we tend to use. I want to say, that I really really enjoy and appreciate this site. It has by far one of the very best community bases I have ever found. People are polite, helpful, supportive, inspiring and overall just great. I get a lot of enjoyment from this place and I am sure many of you agree. But this is not the point to my post. Let me get on with that. As many of you will agree. This place is full of talented mod authors, artists and extremely knowledgeable people. Who are willing to help you further enhance your game, computer and many other aspects of your life. Hell, even personal at times. Due to this, when posts are made, we have an ability to "Like" what someone has posted and shared. If you are like me, you find so many posts inspiring and see so much talent everywhere. But you quickly run out of Green Button Mashing! Well it has been mentioned by myself and others, that we wished we had more likes. So today, I decided I'd contact one of the Admins regarding this. To my surprise, he/she was quick to respond. (I do believe I got lucky there!) And responded that he/she had granted my wishes. Fan-Freaking-Tastic Right? I know, I felt the same! So, below you can see my conversation with Ashal, who I would like to again personally thank. Thank You Ashal and thank you Lovers Lab Team. You guys have a great thing going here and if nobody else tells you, I'll tell you for everybody. We appreciate you. Thanks for the Love! See my message to Ashal: Hello Ashal, Hope you are doing well and sorry to bother you but I wasn't sure if I should direct a question to you or a moderator. But in reading community rules to find perhaps the most effective way of contact I noticed you were actually online so I decided to message you directly. I hope this is alright. Anyway, I have a question to ask or perhaps a suggestion to make for this wonderful forum community. First, I want to thank you and the staff for creating such a community and managing it well. I have never had an issue with any person here, although, I have not been around that long. Everyone seems relatively mature and very helpful, respectful to others. This site is one of the best communities I have ever joined. It's like a box of chocolates with a variety of the best flavors! So, onward to my question right? Would it be possible to increase the amount of "Likes" users are allowed on this forum? You see, there are so many threads showcasing wonderful talent within this forum of mod authors and artists who showcase their creations, specifically wondrous screen shots of characters and imagery that is total eye candy to the viewers eyes. I thought about creating a topic for a petition to see how many would sign up. But I thought, perhaps the management wouldn't like that taking up usable space on the forums. Plus, they may have preferred I just contact an admin, which is why I am contacting you. I could not find a suggestions thread for the site forums. If I need to gather other users on board and create a petition, I'd be happy to do so. I am not suggesting this in some outlandish fashion. It just seems more than myself run out of "LIke" buttons very quickly and that recycle doesn't happen often enough. And since you can not like the same topic more than once, is there really any harm in having a few more Likes every day? I'd like to request a reasonable amount if possible. Five more would probably be a fair number. Also, when does the cycle of likes reset? It doesn't always seem like its every 24 hours but perhaps I am just impatient, lol! Please let me know if this request is possible, those I should contact further or where I should properly make this a suggestion. I feel that this would further enhance the recognition to mod authors and authors of this forum so that more credit can be given to them. What do you think? Thank you ahead of time for any feedback or direction to achieve this. Best, Van Sure. Increased the limit to 20. So with that in mind, take a moment to thank your local Lovers Lab staff here too. Let them know you appreciate this place and what they do for us here. Then, go forth and show your appreciation to others creations here with those added "Likes"! BONUS MUSIC-CLICK MEH! Best,Vancien
Ruskii420Sama Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 cool. Seemed like I had more likes today, didn't know why
blabba Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 Lol, you get a like for making more likes. Edit: On a side note, gotta say requests from Ashal seem pretty chill and straight forward, I sent him a long winded essay like request such as yours with the flowery bits (although I think the flowery bits are well deserved on a forum such as this) And my response from Ashal was three words (he accepted to pin a thread lol). Overall seems like a chill dude (I say dude because everyone else refers to Ashal as a 'him' so forgive me if I'm wrong xD)

I didn't give it great thought but that was an oversight that deserves rectifying. And I am still working on getting back to you Blabba. Been busy goofing with Skyrim Eye Candy and other stuff.
Guest Mogie56 Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 <<Sorry I'm out of likes>> <--damn...no more excuses

Finngollfinn57 Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 I'm very new here but I've noticed, while reading through the forum, that Vancien is correct this is a great community full of good and talented people. I myself haven't dealt with anyone in admin. yet but the behavior and attitude of the community is a direct reflection on their hard work and abilities. Thank You very much to all of You! definitely a LIKE!

Thank You very much to all of You! definitely a LIKE! Oh, you're absolutely correct. Honestly? I started coming here looking for an alternative to the Nexus and found mods the Nexus won't host! And I figured it must be a bunch of weirdos and perverts or something (not that it isn't ). And what I noticed is that it was an awesome community (of weirdos and perverts ) that was worth spending some time around. Quick and friendly responses to tech questions, talented modders, cool and unequalled subject matter....this was a place where I wanted to set up camp and hang around the virtual campfire. Anyone up for singing Kumbaya?
