YamiDragon Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 I seems to have gotten something that makes crashes Skyrim upon trying to start the game, the logo of Bethesda/RCRN comes up and loads but as the main menu comes up it crashes and after doing a quick search on the forum I only found one other Topic with a similar proplem. this one http://www.loverslab.com/topic/25690-help-with-startup-ctd/ I have tried the solutions on the topic here but no luck so far. so while I'm not sure if this is the same or not I post this for faster/easier help with this problem. flutie Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 run tes5 edit, if you have not, it sounds like you are missing a master file for a plugin or you may try to run dual sheath patch again, if you added any new mods since your last run of the patch

flutie Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 uncheck every COTS mod you have and try to launch your game, if it does not CTD, add them back in a few at a time and lauch the game to see if it is one of them SOS, I thought you could only have one option, muscular or regular, you have both, I might be wrong When you ran FNIS did you check the PC exclusive animation patch at the bottom I stumbled onto this website that might help http://afkmods.iguanadons.net/index.php?/topic/3577-cleaning-mods-questions-and-answers/ You may have to uncheck all your mods and add a few at a time until you find your problem mod

So, after two days without playing, I booted up the game, and it crashed right after the Elys uncapper screen, with just the message "Skyrim stopped working". Thing is, I did not install any new mod, and the game worked just fine before. Following your advice, I ran TES5edit to see which masters I was missing, but there's no error in the log. I also tried deactivating all my esps besides Skyrim.esp and Update.esp: nope, it still crashes. Dracorex Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 Your papyrus log would also be helpful. Ok. So, It's the first time I'm doing this, and I'm in a bit of a pickle. Googling I found out how to enable the logging, and the logs folder does show up, but there's nothing in it. I start the game with the SKSE launcher, it crashes and nothing is saved in that folder. Is SKSE the problem then? Or should I just launch the game with the vanilla launcher?

The fact that the game suddenly started not working is boggling me, though. EDIT: OK. apparently I am a huge sack of dildos, 'cause in my idiotic blindness I didn't even think to check SKSE's log. Turns out StorageUtil.dll caused the problem, so I just reinstalled the SexLab Framework and it worked. So yeah, sorry for wasting your time, and I hope this helps anyone who has my exact same problem. Thank you anyway guys, I appreciate your efforts :3
