Ethetrix Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 I am really liking this addition to Devious Devices! I had the same problem as Zouzou on one of my games. I started with Live a Deviant Life so my character was already locked in chastity before I found and installed Gags+. I crafted and locked a gag on long after installing Gags+ but no matter what I tried I could only say Mmph!, even with the necessary writing tools. Using stopquest/startquest did not make it work. I tested starting new characters with and without Live a Deviant Life (one I added a gag to myself and the other was started with it) and they worked properly. I just could not get it to work on my existing character at all. If you are accepting any suggestions, I would like to have control over using the writing tools. Forced NPCs dialogues are annoying! Sometimes I would rather be able to tell the NPCs Mmph! and keep my materials. Perhaps an option to say Mmph! could be added to NPCs that ends the dialogue without consuming any materials? I feel like my character should have control over whether or not to bring out her writing tools to converse with the random guy who walked up to her. Thanks again for the great mod!

So would be good to have at least a way out Maybe speaking with a friendly NPC in towns could trigger a reaction based on speech (with malus)... Worst result (optional) = additem Bad result = rape Medium result = some dialogue leaving everything as it is Good result remove the armbinder so you can use your writing to do stuff again keeping the same mmph as sound. TY i like a lot your mods

I had a legit roll of paper in my inventory when i got gagged, and then broke into a home and swiped an inkwell and quill (yoink!), but that woulden't let me talk to anyone, i just got the Mmmph! dialog option and nothing else happened. Is this intended, or an oversight?

But I got an issue, I cannot set this mod to work (even try start/stop comande but nothing happen). I cannot speak to NPC even with both set of items in inventory. I can't get it to work either and I didn't have a gag at all when I installed it... however I noticed that Devious Devices - Integration v2.6.6 is required!I do not have this version I have Devious Devices - Integration v2.74 Now With Quests! Does this make a difference? Could this be why it wont work for me? Please help if ya' can

permidion Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 somehow only the extra Masque of Clavicus Vile esp is working. I have been trying to get the main purpose of this mod (communicate by writing) to work for month and never succeded to get anything beside the usual "Mmmmhh" when talking to someone
permidion Posted August 29, 2014 Posted August 29, 2014 mmm, a recent update of Devious Device Extended make the Clavicus Vile gag to be invisible when weared, which is a tad annoying. any hope to get a new version fixing that ?

That's (at least to me) the interesting part about this mod. DD's gag dialogue is just going "Hmpf!" at them with no reaction from their side ... I mean, if you're replacing the dialogue anyway, why not at least put in a "Sorry, I can't understand you" as answer, too?

I put something like that in Cursed Loot (it has a gag dialogue you can use as partial or total replacement for the DDI one), but alas, no, the writing idea didn't get put in another mod (yet).

Which means you can make it so that you don't have that problem again.

Can you ask an NPC to help you remove a gag or an armbinder or anything? Are there any of these mods that do? Also... My character is getting a little antsy lol which would be the best mod for her to ask her master to plz relieve that? Ik this might not be thread-related.. but you guys sound like you know lol and this site can be a little confusing.
