"I just wanted to make clear that patches could technically be made for KryoZet or ZoNE79's mods, however it would require remaking parts of their mods, due to how they created some of their nif files. In order for a morph to actually morph the clothing or body parts, there can be only ONE mesh per nif file." This is a comment from the author of the body morph mod. have they even bothered testing it? cause my results says otherwise... 1
Jarka Ruus Posted July 13 Posted July 13 16 hours ago, sen4mi said: It's already the case that when I equip apparel from both mods it can make part of my character disappear. Sometimes it's not so bad - like if a minor part of some outfit disappears. But sometimes it's really bad - most of my character's body (or an NPC's body) disappearing. Personally, I don't know the rules about what interferes with what, and I certainly don't know why it's unreliable (though maybe the order I equipped things matters?). But I think everyone should understand that there's real work here which has not been completed adequately. That might be caused by mods using the same body slot.

That's all I could find when searching for morph limitations. If you say otherwise, that's reassuring. I'm waiting for chargenmenu to update to test some morphs in game.

What i was hoping was that we could create our own body to our liking but it seems that wont happen? Then go use MWV then. My female and male bodies would only use Starfield Vanilla Sliders. I checked the old NIF and the naming is different, but I lined mine up perfectly. I had to remove sliders (shape keys) from my models. Not many but I had extra. I had to make new shapes in mine to match BGS forehead changes. In fact I am just going to rescind my models to the community altogether. Skyrim fuck ass body wars all over again. CBBE Fallout 4 is very very similar to Starfield Female. I am guessing BGS used the Fallout 4 models as their bases for Starfield. Fusion Girl might be an option for SF Female too. Or just team up with SFF and fix the issues. Best vanilla UV textures are these: SlutFilled - Pubic hair mod with optional cum on body https://www.nexusmods.com/starfield/mods/3994 They hide the built-in underwear well and have very good shadowing and even the pubic hair is not horrible. Also has options for cum and other stuff. It is much easier to simply ignore the horrible fucking BGS feet. Why does BGS always make horrible feet? Has nothing to do with saving poly performance. Lazy? I am out! Edited July 13 by Krixost

Lazy? I am out! Umm no why would i use mwv? like i said I thought your mod was gonna be basic sliders so i figured it was an equivalent to mwv so idk where your getting the idea that i wanted to use mwv because i dont. I even stated that I hoped that we would get a body mod that covers multiple sliders for breast, butt etc so WTH are you getting at? cause it seems that the way you put it that your mod was just gonna be bare bones at most.... Re read what i wrote cause your missing the point. btw i thought you where gonna publish your mod but nope.... sigh. Edited July 13 by Fiesta72 1
Fiesta72 Posted July 13 Posted July 13 (edited) @Krixost Again I wasn't trying to be mean but if you cant stand constructive feedback and misread what i wrote then i guess we shouldn't rely on your said mod..... Like holy shit all i said was your mod will be bare bones and that its just gonna be another mwv situation i didn't mean it as to attack you but whatevers do whatever you want idc. Lazy? I am out! Hello, first time joining the conversation since I was digging if Starfield had an available body mod as standarized as CBBE for outfits and ended up here. You can do as you please with your body mod. Just let me simply explain what a proper body mod needs to have to be as popular as CBBE or others are. Good base shape with good detail so it looks great. Plenty of sliders so people can create the desired body for their character. Compatibility with Bodyslide and Outfit Studio so people can create their desired body, outfits, and outfits mashups on an user-friendly environment. Clean of bugs so is easy to work with and is not jarring to have it ingame. (SFF Facegen can't make it here for example) Conversion references available so users and modders can port outfits from older BGS games and SF mods made for the vanilla shape. Advanced features like physics and custom bones for animations. And in the particular case of Starfield, a head with a neck cut that doesnt limit the sliders possibilities due to how low it is located, which would require to re-edit the facegen or use some kind of mod or script that replaces what head the npcs uses without regenerating facegen. Those are the ingredients for success. Is it too much work? Indeed it is. Would that hypothetical body mod become the standard for Starfield if all the points of the checklist are accomplised? For sure. Again, you can do whatever you want. But what people want is to customize the body of their character. Nobody has gone the extra mile successfully. Yet. Edited July 13 by DonnyMcTavish 2

I had not specifically tried that approach, but I had in fact tried that approach. Sorry, the question is a bit funny - I have been using a batch file named "CLEARYOURDAMNCACHE.bat" which deletes that cache (among others) and I have been running it occasionally, but I had not run it in the last week or so, so I had not tried it specifically in the context of this problem. That said, I tried it just now - but it did not fix this problem. Still, thanks for the suggestion - this seems like good information. (Edit: it seems very likely that many of starfield's reliability woes stem from inadequate cache management - it seems likely that it's relying on cache entries which should have been marked invalid by some part of the code base.)
