Romanesco23 Posted November 13, 2025 Posted November 13, 2025 A question to those who got their Sexlab working in the latest version of skyrim V SE, im quite sure ive done all the things to make sex lab work, but everytime i load the game, im just met with something like, "sexlab not working, you need 1.6 version or higher" something like that. i am in VERY need of help, im new to modding skyrim and i am also very new to skyrim, and yes i want a more horny way of playing the game to make it abit rewarding to play?. any tips or guides will help massively, thank you

Is it truly SE or AE ? You have AE, i look to your other post which you say you have 1.61170 so yes you should have Sexlab 1.66 Edited November 13, 2025 by alexsl

Dorabella Posted November 13, 2025 Posted November 13, 2025 Why Sexlab 1.63 and 1.66b ???? It would be better to eliminate one of them. I doubt that the fact that MCM does not load mods is due to Sexlab. Are you sure that SKSE is the correct version? SKSE is not present on your screen. Spoiler

A few years ago, Bethesda brought out a big update, with a version number of 1.6. At the same time, they published the Anniversary Edition, which is a DLC that contains all Creation Club content up to that point. So officially, version 1.6 and higher is still Special edition, and the Anniversary Edition has nothing to do with game versions. The community however thought that the update broke too much to still use the same label, so version 1.6 and higher has been called AE since then, named after the DLC that just happened to have come out at the same time. The community calls the last version before the update SE (that's version 1.5.97). In short, you have what the community calls Skyrim AE, but Bethesda never stopped calling it the Special Edition. You should use Sexlab 1.66b. It's also possible that you are using the older version of SKSE, you should use the latest. For future reference, if a mod uses SE, that means Skyrim Special Edition version 1.5.97. If a mod mentions AE, that means Skyrim Special Edition version 1.6 and higher. 2

But honestly go watch guide that was previously share by the other.
MadMansGun Posted November 14, 2025 Posted November 14, 2025 tip: you also need the skse library mod (v1.6.x) linked on the sexlab page under the version number descriptions.
