Raid and Conquer | Humanoid edition


 

Take command of a demonic empire and dominate the galaxy through systematic extortion. This mod provides the tools to target, subjugate, and exploit species for your empire's profit.

Description:

 

This mod adds events when capturing a planet and a new Edict that allows your empire to interact with others based on their primary species portrait. It focuses on the their subjugation and extortion of that specific empire for power and resources. For now all 27 Humanoid species available (This mod REQUIRES Lustful Void mod to work and Recommends Vanilla Framework ContinuedVF Portraits mods as their portraits linked to events).

 

Features: 

  • 1 Edict - Raid and Conquer edict to extort your vassals for various buffs
  • 1 Origin - [WIP] Demonic Raiders - A start focused on rapid expansion and vassalization
  • 1 Civic - [WIP] Eternal Dominion - Buffs combat stats and benefits from vassals
  • 1 Species trait - [WIP] Demonic Ferocity - A species trait that improves ground army
  • 1 Casus Belli - [WIP] Demonic Conquest - A simplified subjugation CB
  • 182 Vassalage events - Events tailored to specific humanoid portraits
    •   Hide contents
      • In total 7 events per portrait for 26 portraits
      • 1 Event for Ruler/Government
      • 1 Event for Scientist/Labs
      • 1 Event for Commander/General
      • 1 Event for Temple/Spiritualist
      • 1 Event for Population/Slaves
      • 1 Event for Embassy/Envoys
      • 1 Event for Spy/Agents
  • 156 Events for capturing humanoid planets

  • Requirement: To access the new edict, your empire must have at least one of the following: the Demonic Raiders origin, the Demonic Ferocity trait OR the Eternal Dominion civic.

  • Also included SUBMOD: RnC Humanoid Only - Generates only humanoid empires on a new game start

Work in Progress: After that a new different type of species (Mammalian, Reptilian, e.t.c ) or a new origin species. [Suggestions are welcome]

I'll look if it's possible to remove VFC as hard requirement or to try it work with non replacer, because currently VF Continued used to correctly identify specific portraits of an empire and trigger corresponding event

And default portrait tags are all over the place

As a quick check, the non-human randomiser is also included in the base files. Worth removing in the next update.
Keen to see where this goes as it is a interesting domination idea.

Im interested, why using default VF over VFC? But yes second version of mod that not depends for specific portrait but rather species, will be good for someone who use other portrait packs.

After playing this mod quite extensively, I am very, very appreciative 😃

My only request is that, perhaps, you could have unique events fire during the wars themselves? Having the raids take place only when the enemy is a vassal makes it seem a bit redundent

Stupid question what is VF Portraits?

Never mind i am blind for anyone else who is blind like the VF Portraits is a file in the download section of Vanilla Framework Continued how i missed that i don't know.

Released a new version, added more events for humanoids, made mod work with vanilla portraits

Not really proficient with balance so events just give slight bounces to help with future wars 

Right now I'm considering what species to do next, but images are still a huge bottleneck as they take a lot of time and rn I'm gonna deal with some irl issues so next huge update in a 2-3 months prob

Hey there! Love your work and wanted to start getting into modding.
I've tried to do a bit of asset swapping, but I wanted to try to do some more complicated stuff.
Do you know where I could find some good resources or stellaris docs?

Thank you! I mostly learned the basics from the Stellaris Modding Wiki, and for the more complex systems I looked how other mods and the stellaris game files themselves handled things. I used VSCode with the Stellaris extension to help with syntax, and then opened stellaris folder as workspace as a reference to most of the code.

I'm coming into this with a bit of python experience, so I do have VSCode, but I will have to try that extension.

I'll probably be binging the wiki tonight, but if you ever find any other resources, feel free to share 👀

after adding ATAEP mod, ancient astrolatries origin mod, ancestors' grudge origin mod, and ultimate automation mod, Huffslove mod, and raid and conquer mod all stopped working. the game will load but loading the galaxy or trying to get to the Room and City. can I get help?

I am having a simpler problem, I know it is mod conflict, but something seems to go wrong with the files... idk all ik is that after the conflict you need to delete and reinstall the mod to make it work but not with the problem mod(s).
