Lovely Rose Posted January 18, 2014 Posted January 18, 2014 So I'm working on signatures, Kinda just bored. Going to post one i been working on (soon as im done, So close!!!!) Anyone got any tips? Or signature ideas? I have photoshop cs6 haha
Halstrom Posted January 18, 2014 Posted January 18, 2014 Signatures should be smaller than the post it's attached to, preferably no pictures at all It's damn annoying scrolling through a thread which contains multiple A4 sized picture "bling" signatures that mean nothing to most people.

I try to keep them as small in kbs as possible, but I do like 'em.....noticeable.... @ KatieOctober: As to tips and tricks, I tend to just 'go with the flow' of what I have in mind, but I usually stick with PNG instead of JPG to reduce kb size and keep transparencies (so I can use the same sigs at different sites, without having to match a site's theme colours). I'm using CS3 from the Adobe Master Collection atm....

I'm using CS3 from the Adobe Master Collection atm.... your signature is okay my friend used to have one (not on this forum) he has 6 PICTUERS, all centered and one under the other. and they was all about same size of yours. happily on here u can block signautres out to. I just wanna make something different thats all

In fact, I've had signature display turned off on my account since I joined for just that reason. I refer people to the link in my own signature to get help even though I can't actually see it. I loathe image signatures.

That just makes me put on my asshole hat and go around deleting them and sending out the "hey....read rule 4 PM's". If folks only knew how much I hate having to do that....... While I am not a sig picture fan myself, I can appreciate some of the cool ones that other folk have. KatieOctober, your latest one ranks right up there as one of the coolest. Cheers to all! Greg

Laughing_man117 Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 Hi all, mega noob question coming up , how do i get the sig I've created onto the site because i thought it would be like adding the avatar except no option to upload in the toolbar just a image button that asks for a url and a my media button that doesn't let me do anything, other than these two i cant see anything to upload a sig and I've been looking for ages now, Help plz someone Ps or is it just a case of upload somewhere else and use the url option?

Use the url option from another image site, like Imageshack and such....also pretty useful for screenshots and other pics as well, if you want them stored somewhere else besides your PC.

I use txt links, mostly linking various pages here on LL but occasionally I link offsite when I think a particular item is important. I am aware of the signature turn off feature however I haven't used it. I would rather deal with the sigs in case there is something there that I needed. Besides people put hard work in them... I figure so long as they are following the community rules #4 as Gregathit mentioned, they are good to go and are acceptable IMO. (link in the top corner)
