Idk, it tends to not really be an issue with stuff like Fighting games, it's something with games that skew towards a younger player base where people decide to become puritans about it even if the characters within aren't underaged. I noticed it with Smash and Mario modders

There's no competitive esport scene going on, it's just NSFW modders butting heads with strict SFW modders or moderators.

Which is interesting because Sonic as a franchise is nearly 35 years old so everyone who grew up with Sonic in the 90's and 00's are adults now. Even Iizuka of Sonic Team realised this and has intended the "Modern Sonic" games since Frontiers to be enjoyed by veteran Sonic fans of all ages while any more "Classic Sonic" games will be more simplistic in scope for newer and younger players.

 

In layman's terms, the Sonic franchise is not a kids' franchise, it's a franchise for everyone of all ages. I've been over this before:

Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is rated E for Everyone, it's a game to be universally enjoyed by everybody whether they're young or not. Furthermore, the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise is 34 years old. A good chunk of its fanbase are adults who have stuck around after growing up with the games since they're kids. Not only millennials in the 90-00's but also older zoomers in the 2000-2010's. While the games are indeed family-friendly that appeals to children, you shouldn't be downplaying that these games are for little kids when the developers intended the games to be enjoyable by everyone regardless of their age. And I mean really, do you not realise how you're degrading yourself when you're a fan of the games that you're unironically calling "kids games". They're just games.

 

If an adult wants to play a non-mature game with mature elements, what's the big fucking deal?

It's their copy of the game, it's their business on what they do with it, who cares?

Also, ever noticed how the Sonic Reddit and Twitter community are very LGBTQ+ friendly and welcoming by using these Sonic characters to support their sexualities?

Because it's almost as if that Sonic characters are like tools of creativity and expression to longtime fans, not just mere cartoon characters that appeal to children.

At this point I don't even think it's a "Think of the Children" thing, I feel like it's just pure ego from anti-NSFW people and they use the children excuse since it's a convenient one to use that gets a lot of moral busybodies to side with. I feel like the real flaw with that excuse, outside of us not being their parents/guardians thus not needing to monitor them and the series existing for a long time so of course it has adult fans, is that kids go to sites that aren't for them all the time, so this isn't protecting them from anything, it just means they'll just go somewhere else, probably with even less regulation that's probably a bigger danger to them. I know when I was a kid I went to so many places I shouldn't have been and if there was a restriction, I just found alternatives that I definitely should not have been on even less than the places I went.

Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is far from the first Sonic game to have adult mods.

It's a little outdated but here's a full list of NSFW mods for Sonic games that we know of:

No Sonic game is safe from lewd modding.

If the next game runs on UE5, it'll be modded right away.

If the next game runs on Retro, it'll be modded easily as well.

If the next game runs on HE2, it'll be modded by us eventually.

 

Sonic Frontiers had mods for Amy, and Shadow Generations had mods for Rouge.

Now that everyone is back for CrossWorlds along with popular guest characters like Miku, it's no surprise that there's a burst of adult mods for them. It's also a thriving online multiplayer game that's planned to be supported for one or two more years so there's incentive for us to stick around whether you like us or not.

A lot of people dont like to believe me that i see beauty in a naked form rather than just sex. If i download a true nude mod, Like i did with Rochestedorm's Wave, its because i actually like how she looks bare. very aesthetically pleasing to me. Naked to me is inherently beautiful. can totally be sexual, but that's not all it is for me either.

I don't get these mods just for sexual purposes, that's why I value Catnatic's mods so much since those are faithful to the characters. Is it nice to look at? Yeah. But do I get them just for that? No. Its nice to have the characters all on equal footing.

 

I'm pretty sure its reportable anyway on Discord that he's accessing, and discussing, NSFW topics while being underage. Which wont just get his account flagged/banned if that's true, but the entire server with everyone in it. So Zor, if you're seeing this, I'd think twice about keeping him, since if I'm right on this, having him actively discussing NSFW topics might put all of you at risk of losing your accounts. Discord takes these types of things VERY seriously, especially when a lot of people are getting falsely disabled/flagged as of late.

Take what I say with a grain of salt about this, I just know how Discord works with these topics.

What the fuck is this justification? There's zero harm done to anyone allowed to see this stuff, and the people who aren't just don't fucking see it. Absolutely zero people hurt here.

Nobody's forcing you to look at porn when you aren't allowed, you do that to yourself at that point, and it isn't other people's responsibility to police themselves for you.

Again, nobody's pushing titties into your face here, we are using Gamebanana's built in content features and yet you still overstep your boundaries and force mod creators to change their mods and even forcefully remove them from the platform, THIS is the issue here.

Discord chats as per usual are way too chaotic to follow, so I won't be giving any play-by-plays anytime soon lol.

 

One thing I will say is that the one thing I think you're justified in banning off GB is this one.

 

Most of my grievances boil down to the Aqua, Brazilian Miku, and Reverse Bunny Suit Rouge mods. The first two the mod team actively stepped in and forced changes onto, and the second was properly tagged but was still banned "because there was a SFW version" instead of letting the mod maker do what the fuck they want when they're properly tagging shit.

 

But sure, laugh at us for "gooning to 3D Rouge" while being a fucking Sonic fan like that's not half the shit the fandom is known for online. We have a hobby, we are hurting nobody. you are restricting us because of your puritanical views and it hurts the community.

Some people on his Discord suggested we put adult mods on Nexus which is more lenient on this stuff, fair, but obviously people want to put their mods on the most active mod hosting site for this game - Gamebanana - or they want to double dip and put their stuff on both sites. You shouldn't restrict us like this because of your narrow viewpoints.
