Tbf theres already a huge backlog of sonic girls that need to be modded in.

 

Though belle im genuinely shocked no one did yet. She was super popular when she was introduced.

I imagine Surge will be added in year 2 as a free Sega character, so we’ll have an official model to edit. However, I never did sculpting or model editing beyond texture changes in Blender, so I’d leave that up to someone else.

Oh, right, I still gotta finish the 2.0 updates. One guy asked for the underwear alt for the stylized version, so I’m including every outfit I missed, plus one I found on Sketchfab. Also managed to fix the fishnets in Unreal. It'll take a little while, I gotta remake a few renders for her UI.

I tend to take his side with things since Sega has always had a bad time with any communication in general. They also just tend to avoid certain topics and media like the plague if it was involved in any legal situation or other.

Despite Ken not winning a single lawsuit, they avoid characters like Sally and Nicole entirely because of it. They could bring back Shade with no issues if they want too, they just don't.

 

So hearing Ian give an explanation, even if it might not be entirely true, still lines up with how Sega does things. I'm assuming small cameos are fine in certain media, but not official appearances. Sega probably owns the mobian design, but not the character herself due to being a direct homage to Candy.

I agree and despite how I feel about the other sonic canons and characters out there I do understand Sega's hesitance to bring back legacy characters despite owning pretty much all of them. 

 

Its a fucking mess overall and it just doesn't align with their marketing or direction I think personally, That and Sega of japan has always been touchy on characters with too much drama around them. That's for many other reasons but, that's another can of worms.

 

I don't even wanna think about what they'd have to do for things like the OVA, let alone the Archie and Fleetway canons. If Sega had full custody of all these things we'd see them at least get rereleases if they were not reused for the modern stuff since they did so with every other sonic spinoffs they own regardless of relevance. (Sonic X, AOSTH, Underground, SATAM, Boom)

 

Doesn't help Sonic Blitz and that F4F Poll with Sally in it got nuked to the sun, Along with Dic making shitty complete series dvds of Satam and underground so no one bought them.

Never used FModel before. Tried it out, and I have no clue what to do with it. I've made mods, but only for 2D games, and only using other existing mods as a base. Never messed with the files or how they work before.

Only takes 10 minutes to setup. If you want to extract from mods, have them in your mods folder or selected in bluestar before you open it.

Don't remind me of our blitz lost.We this close to perfection and making fit in tight little book.Then the game dies off.
Didn't really care for the game but dam it of non-cannon characters made it in that.I would of been a whale just to show sega to make these guys cannon!
Also those satam dvds are the worst. Lazy at the worst of it.Go buy the discotech ones if your intrested at all in Satam.

If you’re extracting from FModel, export model and it’ll show up as a psk. It’ll also take the textures with it.

 

Send it to them as an FBX, it’s the easiest in my opinion.

For some reason, when they made this game, they separated some characters into different parts. If you want everything (both vanilla and from mods) to show up, switch loading mode to ALL and click load
