With Persona 5 X coming to Global in a couple of days, I'm hoping the game will be moddable on PC so we could get various mods to spice the game up.

The files are encrypted. Deathchaos made a decrypter for the files but i don't think it's possible to reencrypt them. And it seems cpu rendered so 3dmigoto is a no go as well.

My brain: "It's jmedia! Like the post!"

That aside, take your time. Some method  to reencrypt them will pop up eventually.

Personally, I will enjoy seeing the progress posted in this topic but I don't intend to play it because I just don't play gacha games. (I know the retorts, save yourself some time and just let me be.)

Doesn't sound good. Still thanks for the update.

Spoiler

Hello are you going to continue Tokyo Mirage Session Switch mods? I'm waiting for Kiria since Nintendo gave her super censor to appease the americans.

Question, I would like to understand the difficulties of modding P5X, I know that P5X is in the Unity Engine, similar to games like Honkai Star Rail that do the majority of the rendering in the CPU(I think), I recall on the CN server people have been able to use SRMI to remove UID and clean up basic UI elements(mod on GameBanana) I am wondering what the difference in complexity would be, encryption-wise?

people also use SRMI to use other mods like nude mods as well on Honkai Star Rail. However SRMI is a fork of 3dmigoto specifically made for Honkai Star Rail and like Jmedia previously said 3dmigoto is a no go on p5x. So my guess is p5x has even higher encryption than the Mihoyo games or Wuthering Waves does.

Makes sense, I was wondering why SRMI could be used in general for P5X at all, given its a 3dmigoto fork made for HSR, but I am curious about the difference in encryption, I wonder if its more complicated then the previous games made by the same devs, like other Persona games like P5S or P5R or Perfect World who makes Tower of Fantasy, I know all of the above have plenty of mods. However, with ToF's waning popularity, I am unsure if the mods still work. But I wonder just how excessive the encryption is on P5X.

I think this game work more like Nikke and Browndust 2, so probably mod the same way they do?

Except no mods were ever made for Nikki though either bc of risk of ban bc it's a clothes oriented game or bc the encryption was too difficult to crack.

Nikke and Nikki are not the same game.

3dm is worked, but can edit only texture. no mesh, no alpha, almost not work. maybe you wrong breadcrumb. "P5X\P5X.exe" is launcher's exe maybe. 3dm need to drop to "P5X\client\pc\P5X.exe" include game.exe. anyway shader is complicated, so almost can do nothin.

Unrelated but, I checked your Patreon and all your post are blurred/locked... Resulting in the impossibility to know if the mod is up-to-date, if it's easy to make it work, or what it does exactly...
You really should create some All public post for mod showcase/description, and then distribute the mod within a paywalled post.

I was intersted in your mods, but we can't even contact you.

Is there a way to create mods for P5X? I can offer a commission for this.

There hasn't been alot of progress in P5X modding because there is a lack of interest versus the sheer level of tools that would be needed to make mods for P5X, I don't recall if any but I would check with CN or Korean modders to see if they have made progress in modding it.

With this tool, does the game seem to be viably moddable? It looks like MasterMRL is making good strides so far, but the CPU locks seem to prevent alot of progress.

There's a comment that says all they did was remove some clothing accessories. So I still don't think that modding nsfw mods is possible.
