Bof's Babes n Bimbos - Bimbos of Skyrim NPC Replacer

View File

A NPC replacer for various NPCs in the fantastic Bimbos of Skyrim using many of my presets from my preset pack Bof's Babes n Bimbos.

I do not have enough presets for every NPC in BoS so not everyone got one, but I covered quite a few of them with more to come in the future based on updates to BoS, updates and new characters from my preset pack, and one or two that I still need to add that were having some issues so they have been sidelined for now.

Some of the replaced NPCs have had their races changed in order to get my presets to work on them. I haven't run into any issues because of this but please let me know if you do! Affected NPCs will have the change listed below:

NPCS THAT HAVE BEEN REPLACED

Morella Graymane - Uses the Morella preset from BBnB

Lyli Battle-Born - Uses the Piper preset from BBnB - Is now an Imperial

Erina - Uses the Adeleide preset from BBnB

Lyvelia Tarlin - Uses the Yvenna preset from BBnB

Lyvvi - Uses the Yvenna Bimbo preset from BBnB

Vallie Al-Alina - Uses the Emerane Bimbo preset from BBnB

Valisephona Al-Alina - Uses the Emerane preset from BBnB

Anaita - Uses the Del Bimbo preset from BBnB - Is now an Imperial

Tarria the Bitch - Uses the Aluisa Bimbo preset from BBnB

Roni - Uses the Eciphe Bimbo preset from BBnB - Is now a Dark Elf

Cindil - Uses the Narelae preset from BBnB

Jill - Uses the Narelae Bimbo preset from BBnB - Is now a Wood Elf

  • Yes I know I just used Narelae for Cindil, but they are on opposite sides of the world from each other so I think the two different versions are ok here.

Telariel - Uses the Galesse preset from BBnB - Is now a Wood Elf

KNOWN ISSUES

  • IMPORTANT  - Only Lyvelia and Vallie change into a bimbo preset when they become bimbos. This is because they are the only two NPCs that have an actually new NPC assigned to their bimbo version that I replace separately from their non-bimbo version. To my knowledge there is no way to easily automate changing the preset applied and to have it be aware if any of the other NPCs become bimbos, nor do I have the skill to do it if there is :(

  • Jill's collar is missing it's texture. I'm not 100% sure if I did this in this mod or if it's just a problem with my mod list.

  • All replaced NPCs have had their weight changed to 0. This is because all of my presets are saved at this weight so if you use a weighted bodyslide preset you may notice some NPCs' bodies are a bit different than they used to be.

  • [insert replaced NPC] has a gap between their neck and their head!
    • This occurs when loading this mod into an ongoing save. It's caused by the problem NPC's weight not being 0 by default before installing this mod while my replacer needs them to be at 0. Starting a new game will fix this.

  • Using an AI upscaled version of the required eye mods will cause the presets to fail to load.

  • IMPORTANT - There are a lot more requirements for this mod than other NPC replacers
    • This is because I made this mod much more for myself than my other mods, and I'm not great with CK or NifSkope so I just use xEdit to call resources instead of baking them into the NPCs. Also done to stay in line with some mods' usage permissions. I will work to shorten the list over time as my time and willpower waxes and wanes.

REQUIREMENTS - If you already have the Bof's Babes n Bimbos Preset Pack you should already have these. Fair Skin is the only possible exception.

This is my first foray into making a mod with a .esp so please tell me if there are any issues you come across while using it! It is an esp flagged as esl.

This mod might be compatible with LE, but probably isn't.

INTSALLATION

  • Use your mod organizer of choice or manually drop the files into your data folder, I will not support any issues with manual installation.
  • You may need to start a new game for the changes to appear. I had mixed results in my testing when loading the mod into an ongoing save.

Looks nice, but It would be nice if assets for those replacers were gathered into one pack with separate .esl instead of a bunch of hard requirments to install full mods :(

KS Hair AFAIR has open permissions, so the necessary models can be bundled in. I'm not downloading a 1.5GB worth of a data on a shitty mobile data-plan connection just for this. Not only because it would nuke my e-wallet, but also because it would take 3 days, provided the connection holds. Which I know for a fact, it will not.

Fair skin is also meh. I don't like it, I don't use it. Frankly, I don't understand its appeal, since there are so many better looking skin replacements, but whatever. De gustibus non disputandum est. I'm pretty sure you can figure a way for the characters to use whatever skin is currently installed by the user.

The rest is mostly fine, since those are staples. Although I'm using an older version of Goam's Ears, one that used to use "Facial Hair" slider, so I'm not sure how it'll behave.

The only one I don't know are Improved Eyes, although my Nexus history claims I've downloaded it 7 years ago. But I don't remember it and I use different one, so it probably wasn't that good.

Totally understandable! I'll definitely look into consolidating the requirements in the future for this. For now there's so many because I tried in the past to use the exported asset method for a BBnB follower mod (that I still need to go back and work on again) and was having troubles doing it, so this was the easiest way for me for now.

Also totally get it, I just started using Fair Skin so long ago because at the time it seemed like it was one of the most universally supported skins and just haven't gone to change it since. I think I could find all of the individual makeup pieces they all use and export those textures to use on the head instead of exporting the full head texture, skin and all, but it'll take a lot more time on my end so stay tuned for that in the future. Though I can't promise a timely update since this mod was made a lot more for myself than my other mods so I don't foresee myself coming back to it as often :(

I think the current version of Goam (or at least the one I use) still has it as a facial hair slider, so it will most likely be if the IDs are the same. For the eyes I forget which of the two eye mods it is I use, but one of them I generally like for humans much more, and the other has much better variety of eyes for elves so I use it for that, though I can never keep it straight which is which lol.

Getting 15 errors on head parts, apart from BNP Skin, everything should be installed according to your requirements. Missing dependency?

Is it all of them? Or is it just Vallisephona?

All of them.

It looks like the problem is with Hverg Brows and the eye mods if it's happening for every character. Are you on SE/AE or LE?

SE/AE. I have fixed the brows problem, there are several patches available and I missed one of the HPH patches. Still have some error logs, went through it thrice.

It's really difficult to set up correctly unfortunately with multiple dependencies on dependencies I'm afraid.

Yeah sorry about that I'm learning this stuff as I go. If you have the eye mods installed and activated the only other thing I can think of would be if they're being overwritten by something. Regardless in the future I'll try to get more of the dependencies properly integrated into the mod so it doesn't need so many other downloads.

No problem, its really difficult to set up a character correctly, especially with multiple dependencies if he's not standalone. In this particular instance, there are also different installment options, like vampire eyes yes and no, esp or esl and mods overwrite each other. Improved eyes for example overwrites the eyes of beauty. So, i'd definitely reduce dependencies as much as possible.

Edit: Reinstalled every dependency and the missing dependency went away. But not right away, just suddenly, it worked, can't explain it.

Sorry for the delay I forgot to actually quote your message!

Thanks! But how do you mean? This is my first time making any edits to the game or characters or anything so I was kinda just figuring it out as I went. Admittedly I'm sure I didn't do it in the most convenient way. If you mean taking all the assets and putting them into character specific folders for the mod, things like Goams Ears and the eye mods both have restricted permissions and I thought I'd just do the requirement method rather than seeking out those authors to use their assets in an NPC replacer for a bimbo fetish mod lol.

Thanks for the reply. I'll be looking forward to consolidated version, since those babes really do look nice. Much nicer than the Botox version I'm currently using.

Which reminds me: doesn't Botox already have KS Hair bundled in? You could tap into that instead of having to use the whole 700+ hair pack that is simply an overkill.

I use BnP skin - Yeah head skin textures are odd on the replaced NPCs :/

Hopefully you'll sort out a version that defaults which ever default skin mod is installed.

Other than that not so bothered about getting the other requirements bundled in - I have too many, hair, eye, makeup, brow etc mods already, so pretty rare to be missing one :D

I could, but for now that would require redoing every character from scratch and changing how their head .nifs are saved for the replacer and I'm not sure in what way it's something I need to test more. Basically if any head part that is saved in the .nif is not called for in xEdit, including hair, then the preset will fail to load on the head so it will look like the base NPC from BoS (or maybe botox if you have it I'm not sure since I disabled the botox NPCs for testing this mod) and the head will also have the original character's skin tone leading to a huge color difference from the body to the head. By my understanding getting it to work would be the same process anyway to get it working if I were to save out the hair they already use from KS and package them with the NPCs. So if I were to do any, I would still just package the hair that they already have to keep the NPCs' look the same since it'll be the same amount of work either way (mostly).

Yeah the skin and the hairs are my two biggest priorities based on feedback to get to a more native state, but I had the same issues with too many mods before I updated to AE and had to rebuild my mod list. It was a ton of work, but it sure is nice knowing what comes from what mod again since I really only have the required beauty mods for the BBnB presets now lol.

non of the NPCs get their new look, i have just triple checked i have all required mods (except 'fair skin' as i use 'the pure') for this mod and Bimbos of Skyrim
In SSEEDIT some of the headparts for some of the NPCs get an error called "[FE002615]<Error: Could not be resolved>" and is always right under Hverg's brows
all versions of Lyvvie and Valisephona, Telariel, Morella, Roni and Cindil have this error
but even the npcs without those errors dont look like they should with this mod enabled

Can we modify the tan of the presets at all?

Yes and no, depending on how much time you're willing to put into it. You can easily change the body's skin tone in xEdit, but changing the head will require re-exporting the preset's head with the desired color as well which is required or the new body color will not match the head's and cause a seam. If you want to do it this is the process:

Spoiler

The first thing you will have to do is load the preset from my preset pack onto your character that you want to change the color of for the relevant NPC. After you find a skin color you like, open the SCULPTS tab at the top right while you're in Racemenu and Export Head (press F5). Name it whatever works for you. If you use MO2 the preset will be save at E:\MO2\overwrite\SKSE\Plugins\CharGen. If you don't use MO2 then I don't know where it will go.

Make sure to remember the RGB value of the new skin tone, you will need it later.

Find the head that you have now exported, you will need both the .nif and the .dds files of the same name. Next you need to copy or move the files into this mod. The .nif will go into the last folder in the meshes path of this mod - meshes\actors\character\facegendata\facegeom\CustomComments.esp and the .dds will go in the textures path - textures\actors\character\FaceGenData\FaceTint\CustomComments.esp.

Now that you have the exported head files in the correct location, you need to assign it to the correct NPC. Open this mod in xEdit and find FormID of the NPC you want to change. I will put a screenshot of them in the spoiler:

Spoiler

image.png.a7c802b6bca83a47dd47230de56f8ceb.png

Rename the new exported files to the 8-digit FormID of the desired NPC and overwrite the ones that are already there. Only use the last 6 digits, the first two will always be 00.

Now all that needs to be done is matching the body to the new color of the exported head. While still in xEdit, change these two sections of the desired NPC to the same RGB value of the skin color you chose in Racemenu:

image.png.e5077244e0db64c135a1ef268196f5ed.png

Then you should be done! Make sure not to change anything in the customcomments.esp column in xEdit, as you will then be making changes to that mod instead of this one which could easily cause problems.

If it's below the brows then the issue is most likely Goam's Elven Ears. Could you show a screenshot of the headparts in xEdit?

Yeah looking at your picture it looks like it might actually be an issue with one of (or both if it's happening to a lot of characters) the eye mods. Is anything overwriting them in your mod list?

i think i see the problem now, i have Wammy's https://next.nexusmods.com/profile/wammy/mods?gameId=1704 Eyes of beauty Remastered installed and not the original for SE
but that should not prevent other parts of the NPCs look from showing i think, even for the NPCs without that previously mentioned error

ill try and install the right Eyes of beauty mod, since i have the stand alone version of the remastered it should not cause problems

Glad you found it! But the major problem I'm finding with the way I made the mod is that if even one called for headpart mod I use isn't correct it will cause the entire preset to fail to load on an NPC. So chances are if it's happening for other NPCs after fixing the eyes it's a different mod failing to load its headpart. A general rule of thumb I used to make sure I had all of the required headparts called while I was making the mod in xEdit was that they should all have at least 7 headparts, all of them loading correctly with no errors. There should be one for the following on every NPC:

  • FemaleMouthHumanoidDefault
  • MarksFemaleHumanoid00NoGash
  • 00KLH_FemaleHead[insert NPC's race]
  • [insert KS hair]
  • [insert Goam Ear type]
  • [insert Hverg brow type]
  • [insert eye type]

So if you load up any other NPCs in xEdit that won't show their preset, cross examine that NPC's headparts with this list to see what is missing or not loading correctly to that NPC so you have a decent place to start looking.
