Quick enquiry: getting close to NPCs, clipping mesh. Solved for now.

I get irritated that when I use a mod like 'Hug Me' in first person, I end up briefly looking into the vacant and rather creepy post-surgery hollow of the NPC's head, instead of relishing the detail of my partner's skin, lips, eyes, etc...

Is there anything I can do to correct this?  I do already use "No Camera Collision" which improved things a bit. And I have two Display Tweaks on actor fade set to true..

Thanks.

fNear1stPersonDistance and fNearDistance, both in Skyrim.ini under the Display section. Reduce these to move the clipping distance closer to the camera. Keep in mind however that this may cause distant mountains to z-fight.

Thank you. I had seen the fneardistance as one suggestion. I was a little reluctant to try it, but I will if there are no other ways of doing it.

I have similar issue when I go through doors in 3rd person. After loading in, I always end up looking the back side of my character’s teeth and eyeballs.

Made worse by the fact I use Pause after Load *shivers*.

Improved Camera looks like my answer.

By creating my own profile for the mod, I can make some adjustments that pretty much fit the bill.

The changes in Improved Camera I used:

  • first person default from 5 to 1.
  • pitch threshold from -69 to -90

And should these settings cause any issues, I can simply move back to the default profile in a couple of seconds. All done inside the game.
