DocClox Posted May 12, 2025 Posted May 12, 2025 Just reading the changelist on Steam. Apparently there's a handful of big fixes, some bullet points improvements to how Creators can sell stuff to make Microsoft richer, and a low graphics mode so the game can run on more potato PCs. Oh, and there's an exciting new Creation you can buy from Kinggath. Is this the extended support we got so excited about?
YellowTugboat11 Posted May 14, 2025 Posted May 14, 2025 Last I heard it gave Starfield on the Steam Deck a 10 fps boost or something. Still ridiculous that devs are using the existence of upscalers to just not optimize anything.

I'm pretty sure there will be a content update at some point, plus of course at least one DLC. It's a shame. They should have prioritized an overhaul to exploration at the beginning. They just did some superficial QOL stuff and left it.
DocClox Posted May 16, 2025 Author Posted May 16, 2025 I was reading yesterday that the Community Patch Project is in danger of shutting down because all the modders are leaving to work on other games. It honestly makes me sad. So much potential, so poorly managed.

I still have a glimmer of hope it can be saved but it'll take Bethesda blowing everyone away with a second story DLC and I'm not sure if they got it in them anymore. Usually their second efforts are very well received so we'll see.
Gray User Posted May 27, 2025 Posted May 27, 2025 Important: Right now, May update break a lot of mods. I think SFSE has ok update, but still we wait for Address Library and NAF and maybe other foundation mods.

I kind of forgot about this game, especially after the release of Oblivion Remastered.
DocClox Posted May 27, 2025 Author Posted May 27, 2025 (edited) Well ... They were making all the right noises, and they'd effectively shuttered the Creation Club, and I let myself hope that they'd learned the right lessons post-Fallout 4. Never mind. Not going to make that mistake again. TES6 is going to be presumed slop until proven otherwise. Edited May 27, 2025 by DocClox 1
