_Helen_ Posted November 28, 2025 Posted November 28, 2025 Hello @El_Duderino, how's it going? I tested the new version of your mod, and when I went to try the new quest, it wouldn't start. I typed "SetStage SIS_Q_Maid 1" and nothing happened. All the other quests are working fine; the issue is really with the new quest, which won't start no matter what.

You two might be the first to actually play that quest... or rather, try to play it. The weekend is coming up and I'm optimistic that I can fix the maid quest very soon. 1

Raven.92 Posted December 2, 2025 Posted December 2, 2025 I installed the mod and all its requirements, it runs but when the outfit is put on the body disappears and doesn't come back, which mods am I missing?
El_Duderino Posted December 2, 2025 Author Posted December 2, 2025 @Raven.92 Check your Devious Devices installation and that you have run Bodyslide for it correctly. Invisible outfit parts is almost always caused by not having run Bodyslide correctly (or at all).

bigbasi Posted December 4, 2025 Posted December 4, 2025 (edited) If found an Error within the Blacksmith Quest, the values for the Amount for the Crafting Stuff, like charcoal, stored in the Storage Container aka Player chest can be negative. Also the amount of furplate, hidelace and leatherstrips are always 0. and after sleeping Alvor is greeting me with "Where have you been" and wants to report me 😉 the Mod also thinks, that the Leather strips are Hidepelts Any Ideas? The negative numbers must be an oversight in the script. I'll investigate what could be broken. ... Maybe the issue is even in how the mod keeps track of the individual items. You've always done quality work, but I've avoided DDS because of the WACCF and CACO dependencies. At one time my builds revolved around their game play changes, but I reluctantly dropped them as my load order grew. Keeping them properly patched just became too much work. What can I say? I'm lazy. But for a new outcome? Why not put them back. The excellent patch hubs on Nexus should make it a snap, right? How wrong I was. I toyed with the idea of sending you a virtual turd or two after uncountable cries of "more patches!?!" but I persevered. Finally, after 10+ hours of xEdit and 70+ (mostly prebuilt) patches, I'm done! Two of the best mods ever are back in my game. With CCOR too! I set up the quest/script with expansion to other houses in mind, but it's also a crazy amount of busy-work to set everything up in the house and NPC dialogue. 1
Naps-On-Dirt Posted December 8, 2025 Posted December 8, 2025 This mod sounds awesome, more SS++ outcomes are always welcome. I'd install it but I'm balking at one of the hard requirements, the alchemy and cooking one. I actually use the other, but I'm satisfied with a simple "orange butterfly + blue flower = health potion" level complexity for alchemy and I have no use for a cooking overhaul at all as I only use food when my health potions run out. It seems like a waaaay overly complex mod to have as a hard requirement for a slavery mod. Do the cooking chores really have to be that complicated?

I hear what you're saying, but I'm afraid for now CACO is going to stay as a requirement. I will look into spinning off a CACO-free version once I'm at least halfways sure that I've done all I wanted to with this mod. I'll only do that once because removing this dependency is going to require a lot of mod surgery (change script properties, dialogue conditions, inventory checks...). It might be possible to use this mod without CACO if you create a dummy .esp named "Complete Alchemy & Cooking Overhaul.esp" and add it to your load order before this mod. This will break the tavern quest and also the food related tasks in the Battle-Born mansion, but the rest (what little there's left) should in theory still work. There'll be several log errors but it shouldn't impact your game's stability or performance. As a bit of background: I can't imagine playing Skyrim without CACO as I really like the added complexity. Also, I love cooking in reality and enjoy having a bit of that in Skyrim, too. For this mod, I added the CACO recipes mainly as a means to make it least slightly possible to mix up an order in the tavern. One would need a really poor attention span to do that with only the vanilla food items. 2

I tried modified the Maid quest armor in esp, but it seems the outfit is controlled by scripts and that the outfits must have specific keyword or Olfrid will come telling you lost the dress. If it's non-devious dress, it won't be placed in my inventory at all so... I have no idea what to do.

But all the grease from the kitchen and the dust from the household wipe so easily off a latex gown! Which maid wouldn't want to wear latex? The outfit checker in the quests checks for worn keywords. In case of the Battle-Borns and tavern maids, that's zad_DeviousHobbleskirt , zad_DeviousBoots , and zad_DeviousGloves. You're wearing a valid outfit as long as any worn item(s) in your inventory has/have these three keywords on it. I'll look into adding a non-latex option to the two maid quests in a future update. Problem is, theres no smelter in Riverwood. Am I supposed to go all the way to whiterun to use theirs or am I missing something? X.x

Oh my, I had completely forgotten that the smelter in my Riverwood isn't from the vanilla game. (I use the ETaC towns overhaul mod). I'll try to cook up a simple and hopefully un-intrusive optional patch which adds a smelter for Alvor. Meanwhile, I'm afraid rolling back to an earlier safe and picking another blacksmith is likely your only realistic option. Sorry about that! 1
