Gold, Silver, and Crystal Nude Mod Project update 1

 

The New Beginnings Update

 

Catnatic and I have finally found a way to patch to GSC!

It has taken some difficulties, but we have the first update here.

It's just for Gold for the time being, since that one had the least errors. We hope to be able to get all of them working soon.

The current progress documents are a little ahead, since we haven't gotten the elite four, Surge, or Erika in the game yet.

I'm also open for names for this project. So far, it's Nudist Gold, Nudist Silver, and Nudist Crystal.

Enjoy your playthrough of Gold in a completely new way!

Also, here is my first attempt at the super gameboy border. Let me know if it works. I do not know how to test it myself.

I replaced the "Printed Circuit Board" and "Palm Trees" borders with the border progress image.

@Thorbs93 was the one who suggested this idea.

You can use mGBA as an emulator if you don't know how to get it in a playable state.

It's what I use for GBC hacks.

Just thought I'd let people know they don't need to use GB emulators to play this.

Even ignoring how barely put together this argument was and how random that parasol lady is, the fiction and reality are separate argument only really works if people are consistent with it across the board. But I digress.

As much as I agree that the argument is held together by reused scotch tape, we need to drop this and focus on the mod. I'm not scolding you, just letting you know it was agreed to move on from that topic.

The fuck you mean? The entire point of fiction means that it's all imaginary; it's inherently not real nor part of reality. It's important to recognise that when dealing with entertainment media because trying to moral grandstanding over something non-existent since it's only fiction is utterly ridiculous and a waste of time.

 

It's also pretty boggling to say that parasol lady was random when the whole point of this thread is to share nude/exposed sprites of the characters.

I’ve found it’s a very cherry-picked argument and can be used beyond just moral grandstanding but better to just drop it now and firmly move on than get into specifics.

 

Also it was random since the thread was focusing on Gen 2 sprites rather than later Gens.

I was going to point out the cattiness but this is actually a very cool sprite for a Cooltrainer class.

What do you mean by "not sharing the rest of the edit folder"? Do you have more sprites? You can share them in DM if you don't want them here.

I have updated the rules on the first page a little. Please go and read it.

 

Discussions of pedophilia/shotacon/lolicon have gotten too prevalent in this thread, and rarely ever go anywhere.

This is not the point of this thread. So, please DM me if you have concerns that a sprite is too sexual or was made by someone with a bad history.

I know this may not be the best solution, but I'm trying to make as many people happy as possible.

Can we please move on?

@Viewier I haven't really been active here recently.
But from a quick Google search, this is what I found pertaining testing the custom borders:

There seems to be an issue with the injector, in that the palettes will be messed up, if you don't enable and include the custom palette.

Ideally, this would need to be tested on real hardware through the use of an FXPAK Pro and a real SNES unit (no SNES Mini; that's just an emulator).

Yes, mGBA should be able to emulate SGB Borders, too. However, mGBA, while having support for GB and GBC ROMs, was primarily developed with GBA ROMs in mind, meaning that GBA support is highly accurate, whereas GB/GBC support is probably not as accurate. I don't know how well the FXPAK Pro supports the SGB borders, especially custom ones. But seeing as the FXPAK Pro works on real hardware, it's probably safe to assume that it's more accurate than mGBA.

That said, the device is very expensive. Unless anyone here happens to have the setup necessary for testing, I doubt that this would be viable.
I myself own an SD2SNES, but it's older than the FXPAK Pro.

I can assure you that none of your sprites are pred worthy.

I'm more talking about the sprites that are heavily edited to add stuff like bodily fluids or make them masturbating. Like, I remember one sprite on here had the cowgirl have cum stains on her that they were passing off as shading.

Your sprites, meanwhile, have always been a-okay.

There's a huge difference between making nude edits and making lewd edits. Just making sprites naked isn't wrong.

I'd be more than happy to still accept your sprites through DM. You will need to send them to imgur first to actually display them, though, since dms don't allow file submissions.

It would be a shame to lose you.

I noticed in your post that the custom border and the patch for the ROM are separate.
Certain GB games had specialized borders made that boot upon loading the game. I didn't look too deep into it, but from my understanding, this would mean that the custom border would be automatically merged into the .gb file, not the .sfc file.

As much as I feel flattered you ask me about it, I don't think I would do a good job at doing this.
I wasn't really much involved in ROM Hacking of any kind, barring some few exceptions, like messing around with Lunar Magic (Super Mario World editor) or currently being an Alpha Tester for a Secret of Mana editor. Throughout the years, I picked up on a few things, but never really extensive ROM Hacking. And I never bothered myself editing the SGB Borders and injecting custom borders into them. I just thought it would be cool to have for the Pokemon Nude Project and you seemed more tech-savy than me.

But I can give you some additional info I haven't mentioned yet.

There are multiple versions of the Super Gameboy Adapter. The Super Gameboy Adapter 2 was released exclusively in Japan, fixing some overclocking issues in the first release of the adapter (overclocking meaning that Gameboy games, when running on an SNES through the SGB Adapter 1, were slightly faster than intended) and the Super Gameboy Adapter 2 introducing a slew of different borders. So it would make sense to apply the custom borders based on the Super Gameboy Adapter 2 instead.
The SGB Adapter 2 also had a port on its side to connect to another SGB Adapter 2 for link cable support. So, Pokemon multiplayer on a TV was possible.

I don't know if the SGB Adapter 2 only works with the japanese version of the SNES (Super Famicom). But I think that the BIOS for the adapter should work on all SNES/Super Famicom systems.


In case I haven't mentioned it yet, some Gameboy games also contained specialized borders, when you boot them through any type of SGB Adapter. These specialized borders would load automatically when booting the game, but could be toggled by pressing the L&R Buttons simultaneously on your controller.
Regardless of what type of SGB Adapter you use, there would always be that one customized border for ''special'' Gameboy games. The Pokemon games fall in this category, too.
''Normal'' Gameboy games just had one of the default borders selected that the Super Gameboy Adapter itself comes with, making me think that the Gameboy games themselves somehow must either store the special, customly made border or the Adapter itself being able to generate it on-the-fly based on specific data in these special Gameboy games.
But that's just me guessing.

Again, I'm not a pro at this. I just really like retro games.
I think I'm better off just rooting for you guys as a silent bystander and trying to occasionally help, when I can.
If you absolutely want to be sure that the custom borders for the Nude Project work as intended, you will either have to ask at ROM Hacking-related forums/Discord servers or do research by reading programming-related articles pertaining the internal structure of these adapters and how they interact with Gameboy cartridges.

a slight nitpick: can you change the color of the soles? or move the foot more to left? (I also wouldn't mind more right, but no porn here, sooo...)

right now to me it looks like the sole of the shoe marks the outline of her leg

If i'm being honest, if we're gonna change anything, it's not gonna be the legs, it's gonna be the arms to match the original silhouette. We're not gonna change the legs/pose from the original silhouette if we can help it, sorry.

Allow me to explain the files I am sharing.
You need to use deltapatcher to patch each of these to either "Pokemon - HeartGold Version (USA)" or "Pokémon - SoulSilver Version (USA)".
I did not do gendered alts of the text-edited version this time since I wanted to get this out sooner.

  1. Hairy Gold V18 is normal Heart Gold but everyone is naked and most sprites have pubic hair.
  2. Shaved Silver V18 is normal Shaved Silver but everyone is naked and no sprites have pubic hair.
  3. HGM stands for "Hairy Gold Male-only" which means that only the male sprites are edited.
  4. HGF stands for "Hairy Gold Female-only" which means that only the female sprites are edited.
  5. HGA stands for "Hairy Gold Adults-only" which means that only the adult sprites are edited.
  6. SSM stands for "Shaved Silver Male-only" which means that only the male sprites are edited.
  7. SSF stands for "Shaved Silver Female-only" which means that only the female sprites are edited.
  8. SSA stands for "Shaved Silver Adults-only" which means that only the adult sprites are edited.
  9. Hairy Gold Text-Edited Betti V19 is Hairy Gold but everyone is naked, there are some edits to text that remove mentions of clothing, and Professor Oak is replaced with Betti, my OC.
  10. Shaved Silver Text-Edited Betti V19 is the same thing but for Shaved Silver.
  11. Hairy Gold Text-Edited Oak V19 is Hairy Gold but everyone is naked, there are some edits to text that remove mentions of clothing, and Professor Oak remains in the game.
  12. Shaved Silver Text-Edited Oak V19 is the same thing but for Shaved Silver.
  13. "Hairy Gold no bag" is Hairy Gold but the bag model is unedited. While working on the ROM, the bag model that you're shown when you press "bag" on the bottom screen can crash the game on some hardware. So, I just made a "no-bag" version for each of the main four where the 3D model is unedited. 
  14. "Shaved Silver no bag" is Shaved Silver but the bag model is unedited.
  15. "Hairy Gold Text-Edited no bag" is Hairy Gold Text-Edited Version with Betti but the bag model is unedited. Really, this is the exact same as downloading #9, opening it up in Tinke, and replacing 0/1/5 with its narc in the original game. If you want to apply it to the Oak version, that's what you need to do.
  16. "Shaved Silver Text-Edited no bag" is Shaved Silver Text-Edited Version with Betti but the bag model is unedited.
  17. "A" contains all of the nude sprites as you enter them into the games, as well as palettes for a few of them. The only palette you'll need to change is the one for the team rocket intro sprites. The file system in HGSS is numbered, so that's why the folders are named weirdly. The folder named "More" is where the gender-exclusive sprites and the text exclusive to the text-edited version is. Let me know if you need help adding anything. I did not include the narcs this time, but I could grab them if you want them. All you need to get them yourself is to go into tinke, extract the narcs that are labeled the same as the folders in "A", and then change the files in the new game you want them in.

not sure if this is the right place to ask or if this is even possible, but id like to have these trainer sprites in the moemon soul silver. i cant figure out basically anything with ds hacking. any insight would be greatly appreciated

I completely forgot to add a moemon version to Hairy Gold and Shaved Silver. Sorry.

My laptop is suffering once again.

I have the moemon patches completed, but since I put them in my Downloads folder instead of the OneDrive, I cannot access them until the laptop turns back on and stops having issues. It took 40 minutes for it to have a normal shutdown.

I'm waiting until the morning.
