Maybe you should make the fully naked version first and then I can use aseprite's transparency to add parts of the kimono back.

Perhaps the box graphic could be a different version of the sprite.

I believe its a hikizuri style kimono (used in fancy geisha & maiko) with a long flowy Otaiko, it's not a part of the kimono sleeves, and it is held up by fabric around the waist of the kimono, so I think it would make the most sense if it was removed (IMO, since if we just have the sleeves of the kimono, there's nothign to hold it up)

And how about this for her leg

I think it looks a little wonky in general because its a between frame for her first two poses and she is twisting very fast

And yeah I just think these Lyra backsprites boobs are just better than mine lol. I just put both of the styles together and they worked pretty well

I'm still partial to the idea that the Kimono part of "Kimono Girls" is like their last name or group name and doesn't refer to the outfit.

That way they can still be naked.

Ok that's really funny though, if someone were to make an offshoot of this Romhack with dialogue edits, that would definitely have to be in the lore in some way

One of the many reasons I'm taking a short break is because I want people to have time to play Platinude from the beginning.

The others are:

1. Real life will be busy for me, only really giving me time to work on this on the weekends.
2. I still need to make the overworld sprite sheet for HGSS.
3. I need to move the Platinum leftovers into HGSS. (Battle frontier backgrounds, overworld sprites, etc.)
4. I need to make the relevant sheets for Shaved Silver so that I can actually add them into the game.

Also, you can use the Universal Pokémon Randomizer to give yourself the gen 2 starters if you do not want to use the gen 4 starters.

One of the settings allows you to set which three Pokémon you want as your starters. You could play the whole game with Jynx as your starter if you wanted to.

Just did this with the universal randomizer and it works!

 

On a side note: does someone know of a mod, that "unlocks" all pokemon for platinum? All I find are mods that also change enemy trainers around and such as well 🙄

I mean, Platinude had dialogue edits in the Rev 1 version.

I don't see why we shouldn't include edits in this one.

It'd be weird for the Youngsters and Lasses to still talk about shorts and miniskirts despite no longer wearing them.

Do you mean a way to get every pokemon without trading? I don't know if that's possible, maybe with a randomizer set to "catch em all" mode? Im not sure

Yup, exactly that. I've found a mod/hack in this vein, but as I said, it also changes dialogue & other stuff.

That's probably the best option.

Or you could use DSPRE to manually set all the encounters for locations yourself.

also, some part of me feels like there'd be at least one character throughout the entire series thus far would, in a nudist au, absolutely just slut it up. ik it aint the focus of these hacks, but just somethin that wormed into my large skull cavity :3

I like how you changed the right foot. It's facing away from us, and you just cleaned up the pixels a bit.

Think you could make a version of her for the box wallpaper too? This is the only box wallpaper that needs edits.

@dongdone, the person who originally sent the motherloads, did an edit of the box using what looks like a different version of the sprite.

Edits to get rid of the black will need to be done though.

Sorry for the poor timing. I hate the competitiveness of the thread sometimes. This isn't the first time two people have made edits of the same sprite at the same time.

It's hard on everyone when that happens.

@Noillus, if you're still here, the motherload person has a message for you.

"Pass some praise onto Noilus for me. Feet are a massive pain to sprite, and having bases like that could be useful for future edits. That style of base sprite would be useful as a public resource pack on EExpo or the like, but the mods would likely see it as too sexual. Potentially worth uploading to DeviantArt or something more public?"

Also this is sort of a disclaimer/call to action, I am not the best with OW sprites so I'm kinda avoiding doing the ones I think I won't be able to do justice to right away, and if anyone else wants to work on OW sprites of characters I did the front sprites for (who's OW sprites aren't already done), please feel free to do so, just make sure we keep details consistant between sprites

Edited some boobs that didn't sit (hang?) right with me (and I know were not using my clair portrait anymore but I still wanted to edit it and make it look a little better to see what y'all think
