You can grab the new version of my tool (v1.0.5) here. Put yumia_mod_update_mod_metadata.py (and the new versions of yumia_mod_find_metadata.py and yumia_mod_lib.py) in your /Atelier Yumia/Motor folder Put the .yumiamod.json and .fdata files in the Motor folder as well Run yumia_mod_update_mod_metadata.py. It will replace all the metadata in the .yumiamod.json and .fdata files with metadata from the base game. *NOTE* This tool requires unmodded root.rdb and root.rdx files to find the original metadata! If you are using my tools, this is not a problem because my script will prioritize root.rdb.original and root.rdx.original over root.rdb and root.rdx. If you are using the easy mod manager and there are no original files, then obviously my scripts will have no way to locate the original metadata - in that case please restore your original root.rdb and root.rdx from the mod manager backup folder (you can name them root.rdb.original and root.rdx.original). I have no way to test this script for Switch modding because I do not have a modded Switch (nor would I buy the game a second time). However, when I used my script on your Switch version of Isla and the PC files, it turned your Switch mod back into woofhat's original PC mod perfectly. BTW If it works for Switch, it might also work for other platforms (e.g. PS4). A quick test confirms that the script does appear to work as intended on Switch. After updating the mod tools in my local copy of the gamefiles, I ran yumia_mod_update_mod_metadata and insert_rdb using _QED's recent Nina light armour and it loaded correctly without issue. Also, I wouldn't recommend buying the game on the Switch at this point, it is a significantly worse experience i.m.o Thankyou for your hard work. 1

I don't know if I'm proceeding correctly. First, you need a dump of the game, For this I used nxdumptool or DBI nxdumptool -> user titles menu -> Atelier Yumia -> nca/nca fs dump options -> dump update Dump 'Program -> Patch RomFS' copy the files over to the PC, put the update_mod & insert_into_rdb in the folder that has all of the .fdata files Run update_mod.exe then run insert_into_rdb.exe (A brief black screen is expected, but the modified date of some files will be updated) Copy root.rdb, root.rdx and any modified .fdata files (0x8888881.fdata) over to the SD card under the path `atmosphere/contents/0100544020572000/romfs/Motor/ReleasePackage/KIDS_PLATFORM_NX/release` Then, I believe that you just need to launch the game on the Switch. 2

Thank you for your kindness! I was able to solve this problem in the end. I was following the guide order, but the cause of the problem was elsewhere. The version of the game installed on Switch is 1.1.0, but I was extracting the 1.0.0 version of the file. As a result, I didn't even see KT's boot logo and kept getting errors. Finally realized my fault and after extracting version 1.1.0 I applied the mod through the guide and it worked fine! That's fantastic! Unlimited thanks to amorrow28 for the hard work that allowed me to apply the mod. Also, I would like to express my infinite gratitude to you for your kind explanation. Thank you so much! 1
rolandsdrktower Posted May 13, 2025 Posted May 13, 2025 Can confirm that the new switch-made files are working great! I did my original testing using a base game dump and not an update dump, so sorry if I threw anything off. Dumping the update files and running the update mod metadata with the new files did the trick - no crashes and everything looks good. Thanks @IronTie, @amorrow28, and everyone else! 1
