just a suggestion, maybe the modders in here should post to nexusmods. Currently they have the usual dogshit useless reshade presets every game gets and a mod that gives yumia feet for hands ???? so its wide open for anyone with good content to take over. And with how small the page is on there if you don't do it some grifter could easily reupload from here without getting reported so I'd recommend just going for it

nexus is run by garbage people pushing political ideology. They're likely to censor these mods unless they turn the characters fat or black.

If anything, use AyakaMods.

Hi @animatedtiddy,

at least in my case, I can answer your well-intentioned suggestion: no chance!

Until a few years ago, I and a few friends were quite active in the modding scene for Bethesda games (Morrowind, Oblivion, Skyrim, Fallout). We managed some of our mods (nothing big or well-known) through NexusMods, which ultimately led to me, at least, completely withdrawing from the scene at that time.

That was about six years ago... and it didn't even have anything to do with any "politics" (whatever that means). In my experience, it was almost unbearable for smaller modders back then, so I don't even want to imagine what things are like there now.

In any case, I would not be able to maintain any mods on such a platform due to time constraints alone.

Of course, that shouldn't stop anyone from trying it anyway - for me, my experience back then is more than enough.

I'll mirror what others here are saying, I basically never visit nexus mods and it's had some bad PR over the years.

Sometimes I'll swing by Gamebanana, and I'll check out ayakamods.

I recognize that the thread can be awkward to find things, but it's also been an important place to learn how to make mods instead of just download them.

Hello everyone!

Due to current circumstances, an early mod release - namely:

Costume Mod „Night Fashion Alchemist“ (Atelier Yumia) - Costume only

NightFashionAlchemist.png.d29af77f27c865f2296b3d3e60ab7d0e.png  Yumia_NightFashionAlchemist_v1.zip 10.31 MB · 71 downloads

Please note:

  • Based on the test bikini model - so it shouldn't break any of the other costumes when this mod is installed.
  • Alternative hairstyle and makeup texture (as shown in the screenshot above) are not included. These will be released separately later, if possible.
  • Since this is a costume port, this mod will never be 100% perfect. Slight clipping, texture distortion, etc. are to be expected.
  • To get rid of the plushie on her hip, please use gggnog's mod from page 7.

And now for the interesting part:

This is one of the mods that I had to redo completely for the reasons already mentioned - however, this model contains an additional trick that will certainly interest other modders.

As I wrote in another post, I had the problem with the separated fingers on Yumia's hand model, which I was able to solve thanks to the excellent tools from cyn_mod.

This mod takes this concept further, as the model's body consists of only a single component instead of several.

Let me explain:

BEFORE.PNG.09c67ce82f23d0c2643ee2472f59f280.PNGAFTER.PNG.0177746b8576a8dd4568c4a291fd2651.PNGYumia's body, when exported from the vanilla game, usually consists of six different parts (0.vb, 1.vb, 2.vb, 3.vb, 12.vb, 13.vb).

Using the tools I was able to reduce the body to just one single component (13.vb).

Since this part now contains all the bones and weights of the previous components, there is no need to segment the models accordingly for new mods anymore.

This means that for future mods, an entire work step is eliminated as long as a model with a merged body (like this one) is used as a base.

The workflow then looks something like this:

  • Prepare the desired model (components & textures).
  • Load this model here as a base in Blender.
  • Pose and scale the desired model so that it fits over the base model.
  • Add missing neck section to desired model.
  • Transfer bones and weights from the base model to the desired model.
  • Complete and test the mod according to the instructions.

In my opinion, using a base model with only a single component makes creating new mods much easier, which is why I'm leaving the G1M base model here as a resource --> UnifiedBodyTemplate.zip

Please test whether this works as well for you as it does for me - and since it works for Yumia, it should work for the other characters as well (I will also recreate the corresponding mods under these conditions).

So all that remains for me to say is thank you to:

  • amorrow28 for his tutorial, the nude base model and the useful advicefor
  • cyn_mod for his toolpack and tipps
  • funnybunny666 for the model conversion and base resources
  • gggnog for the plushie remover

This is on you guys, without you this wouldn't have been possible.

##### ##### ##### ##### ##### ##### ##### ##### ##### ##### ##### ##### #####

Short addition to my previous post:

I've now tried combining the components with a model for Isla - it works perfectly here too!

However, I've decided against releasing the bunny costume as a resource for future Isla mods, as this costume also features a custom head. This could confuse potential first-time modders (and veterans), and I also believe it's better to have a base model that only has the relevant customization and nothing else... you can add the rest yourself later.

Instead, I created a casual costume for Isla. Nothing special, but more than sufficient as an example in my eyes:

Isla_1.png.a43e05ce678ea090bce0a6367967dcb6.pngIsla_2.png.8f166cbfc35837c35b4a92bdfea30e7c.png

I still need to work on the textures in general - I've noticed that the game renders the textures a bit darker than they actually are.

I will release the casual costume (including the corresponding modding resources) together with the bunny costume when I get back from vacation. Maybe I'll have the other stuff ready too.

Until then... see you next time!

Thanks for the awesome mod. I was using your bikini mod and now this is my new favourite.

Hello everyone!

Before I set off, here's a little preview of two additional costume mods - one for Yumia and one for Isla:

Isla_01.png.a92693bb3467448c0484861b80884ac9.png Isla_02.png.611bf1195626d420c3b552a87d0f345d.png Yumia_01.png.2e0464ff59c952aaf8b44b8242a106d5.png Yumia_02.png.95cfeed6d78de6403fcdf3bfb1266ccd.png

The plans after my return look like this:

  • make all shown mods available (if possible)
  • Provide modding resources (merged body templates for all female characters) --> Yumia and Isla are already finished, the one Nina is still pending, Lenja does not need one
  • share additional tips for making your own mod

If I find some time in between, I might create and publish two more mods for Nina and Lenja and then call it a day.

See you in a few weeks!

Greetings, I just arrived at this party, please tell me how to install the mods?

The method for installing the MOD is explained in detail at the following link.

I'm afraid that doesn't help me for some reason. I'm also using the mod manager instead of manually inserting mods.

I ended up uninstalling the mods with the mod manager, deleting the root backups, verifying the game files through Steam, got rid of the old mod manager files and replaced with the new mod manager files.
I noticed the UI was different from 0.4 to 0.5. Now, the mods are working again.
Either way, thanks

Anyone know if it's possible to mod in the EU exclusive costume, or at least something similar to it?

Hi,

as long as someone exports the bare files for these DLC costumes and makes them available, it shouldn't be a problem at all.

The only limitation: the clothing physics would be lost (if there are any on the costume), as they cannot be edited with the currently available tools.

image.png.3efaad4c8067dacf1731cb2c9be493bf.pngIn this context:

The game Warriors: Abyss, for example, has a (so far) exclusive school costume for Yumia (see screenshot on the left)... that could also be included.

As I said: If someone provides the original source files, this should be possible.

It's possible the EU files are in the game already and we just need to locate them. I saw some of the JP only? DLC outfits that were the long t-shirt and shorts outfit. As well as a Ryza model.

G1M filenames

JP Exclusive DLC?:

0x3895155d
0x5703377e

Ryza:

Hi,

I just checked - you're right.

0x1a26f33c, 0x3895155d, 0x5703377e are already present in the game files.

0x1a26f33c.PNG.bfa24cfdedcbe92e1393ce5c4037b80d.PNG --> DLC_01.thumb.webp.13cadcfeef95331f99f1921d7c41235e.webp DLC_02.webp.abdee320ef2a60631a3fbf012b20e940.webp DLC_03.thumb.webp.7452fe6dc24b184be58805f5071ba26e.webp

0x58f7948d is Ryza's default costume from Ryza 3, only for Yumia. Interesting, I haven't seen that before.

If the textures are also included, it's relatively easy to make these DLC costumes available as "normal" mods. However, I can't check the textures and the rest myself at the moment (amorrow28s texture grabber tool from his April 17th post should help identify the textures if you manage to find the .ktid files for the costumes).

My travel laptop barely has the power needed to display the models in Blender😉.

According to my information, there should be another "exclusive" DLC costume (the co-called "early access costume")... maybe that's already in the files, too?

In the Japanese version, this file is already included under the name "Holiday Alchemist."

However, Koei Tecmo does not have a particularly permissive stance toward MODs.

MODs that allow individuals without ownership rights to use DLC or exclusive costumes, as well as those that repurpose such content, may negatively impact not only this forum but also MOD development as a whole. Therefore, it is advisable to handle such matters with caution.

Japanese software companies, led by Capcom, often express a negative view of MODs.

Greatly thanks to the wonderful work from @amorrow28 . Also thanks to @JCShore for reminding me of that the mod manager does not support multi-fdata mods before v0.0.5.

I hope all the mods are easier to be used by normal users. So I made a easy yumia mod manager. It has basic functions to help you import mods and enable or disable them. The mod manager builds with Tkinter instead of QT or other GUI library to save the time. It looks not well but just works.

[0.0.3]The new version has been released. It can backup root.rdb and root.rdx properly and disable mods properly. Also can enable multi mods properly.

The mod manager now can import single fdata file and change it's 8-digit hex code.

[0.0.4]No CLI anymore and a little better GUI. No function update compared to v0.0.3.

[0.0.5]Support multi-fdata mods. Such as this wonderful mod.

The New Attachment is the 0.0.5 mod manager with original root.rdb and root.rdx file from game version 1.00e. The mod manager 0.0.4 is also provided in case of v0.0.5's error existences.

6tMf95pGBwJRs4b.png

I think I will not update it unless there is any problem or yumia_mod_insert_into_rdb.exe update (you can update it by yourself with setting ignore_md5_check = true in config.toml).  I'm going to enjoy playing Atelier Yumia and hope you have a good game play time.

All the mods are listed in the first column, other mods which have conflict are listed in the second column. With the buttons in the third column, you could manager your mods easily.

The mod conflict is because that the mod for the game Atelier Yumia needs unique 8-digit hexadecimal code now. Thus, the mods have same 8-digit hexadecimal code are incompatible. If this happens, just edit it.

The mod manager does not dump rdx or rdb file by it self. It will download yumia_mod_insert_into_rdb.exe from amorrow28 first. If you do not like this, I will change it. Thank you again amorrow28.

The mod manager can be found in yumia_easy_mod_manager. Downlad it here(0.0.5) or here(0.0.4).

I have a question.Since the game version1.0.1.0,using this tool to install mods causes crashes when creating furniture.

When I install them without using the tool, there are no crashes.

The tooi version is 0.0.5 Am I doing the installation method incorrectly?

This is a question of personal interest.

I wanted to know your opinions.

Which color line do you prefer?
Please represent it in the diagram.image.thumb.png.977c522587fb0efc9f52f44b4f32ef86.png

Yellow or green

Too much make it bland

Exposure in this case

I think.

Very good advice.

The attitude towards mods actually applies to most companies in this industry - regardless of whether they are Japanese or not.

Not everything that is possible should be done. Unlocking DLCs and the like aren't something I'd want to achieve when it comes to mods.

At least that was the case when I started, and it hasn't changed much to this day (at least I hope so).

Let's leave it at that...

This is because the mod manager used the old rdb and rdx files to load mods. But rdb and rdx files are updated in 1.0.1.0, just delete the files in ./backup and it will use current rdb and rdb files. Restore the rdb and rdx files to the original before do this.
