What Skyrim mod(s) can you absolutely not live without?

It doesn't matter if it's LE, SE, AE, or all the above. What mod(s) can you not play without?

 

First on my list is Alternate Start - Live Another Life. It makes life so much more enjoyable because I can skip the vanilla opening part for testing mods. Also, I can start the game more or less how I want.

 

Second is Piercing Shot - Bullseye perk replacer. It replaces possibly the most useless perk in the game.

 

Third is all of my appearance replacer mods. The vanilla characters look so gross. 🤮

On a more serious note: Skyrim Unbound; AFT; RDO and all my characters that I've turned into followers.

Even though I keep telling myself that "this time I'm going to skip it and just use a nice collector house mod" I always seem to install Legacy of the Dragonborn and a bunch of the other mods that go with it.

 

It's a pain in the butt to get it set up, but I like it.

 

Also, even though there we are spoiled for choice now with so many great, custom-voiced follower mods, I always go back to Sofia, Inigo and Auri (Song of the Green).  Then I add on a couple of new ones, and end up with another battalion sized raiding party.

Alternate start for me as well. I've been in that damn starting room so many times. Various graphics overhauls as well, such as Embers XD. I definitely couldn't bring myself to play it with bad graphics, even with all of the other features it has.

Agree, Alternate Start is great for testing mods while setting up a game.

 

Still, I just like that carriage ride (when it works) and how the screen fades in from black in the beginning, and so when I start a new game for real, I start in the cell to let my mods and MCM initialize, before doing the vanilla start.

I've never used any of those myself. Though, Skyrim Unbound does look interesting.

1. "Alternative start" - just for testing other mods ... and because the "vanilla" start is so infinitely stupid

2. All revisions and additions to the vampire waifu "Serana" that are useful for me personally... this includes the dialogue extension and of course "serana dead sexy"

 

3. As a companion, "Recorder" is always on my list.

 

4. The "Skyrim Tardis" aka "SIDRAT"... for me the perfect player house -> that can move its "front door" - and because it has its own beach

I don't think I can ever play without Smart Harvest or an equivalent mod ever again. Being able to pick up all the loose loot around me automatically is a huge time-saver and has also let me discover things I never noticed before.
