Blaxplosion Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 Hello, I'm having some trouble getting Sexout (+Mods) to work. I have the most recent version of NVSE and the Extender installed on my computer, and I ran FNVEdit and it didn't detect any issues when I had all plugins activated. Whenever I try and launch Fallout (either via steam or the NVSE loader), the game crashes before I can get to the main menu. Please help? Also, I attached pictures of my current load order, the mods I have loaded into NMM, as well as the physical files/archives I have downloaded to my computer.
Halstrom Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 Most of us don't use NMM due to a variety of issues with NMM & Sexout so sorry we can't be much help also what is this Merger mod you have, have you tried running without it?

Ok, so which mod manager would you recommend I use instead of NMM? I've heard pretty good things about FOMM, so I had been considering using that instead. "Merger" is the name of the merge patch I made while running FNVEdit (NV still crashed prior to its creation and even after I deactivated it).
prideslayer Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 The game should work fine with NMM, and a launch problem like that usually means a missing ESM. My suggestions: 1. I assume you've kept all your downloaded mods in a separate download area. If not, get them copied somewhere now away from the NMM dir so it doesn't delete them -- or download them over again. 2. Start using FOMM, specifically, my version here on LL, for FONV. It's in the fallout not-adult download section. It will detect and tell you about the error I think you're having. 3. Do not merge sexout mods unless you're certain you need to. It will never fix any problems with sexout mods, but it might cause some, so don't.
prideslayer Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 When you're done and ready to go, if you still have the problem and FOMM doesn't warn you, then disable all the sexout mods and try again. If it still happens, uninstall them all, and use steam to do a cache validation on your install of FONV. This will revert it back to vanilla completely. Make sure it works. Back up your save files first as I think cache validation might delete them, but I'm not sure. If it doesn't work, you have other problems. If it does, start enabling the sexout mods one at a time until it either works, or you run into a problem and will then know which mod is causing it. Follow the link in my signature.
Blaxplosion Posted December 30, 2013 Author Posted December 30, 2013 I previously had DarnifiedUI installed, and forgot to fix the edits to my NV .ini file when I uninstalled it. Re-installed Darnified, and the crashes stopped (at least the ones with starting up, anyway). Thank you both for your help!
