Outfit Studio/Bodyslide 2 CBBE Conversions

Recommended Posts

Let's see if anybody can help me a bit here. I'm trying to remake the bound armor mesh to make it look more like the real Daedric armor, but this would be my first real attemp at tinkering with NifSkope and I have no idea what I'm doing.

The first step I need to take is to combine all the armor parts in a single .nif, so that it uses a single biped slot, as the original mod does. I tried a couple things, and I got to the point that the whole armor (torso, gloves, boots and helmet) do show properly in Outfit Studio, but when I swap the mesh for the mod's one (to test if it works, since I still need to give it the bound effect) the only piece that shows is the torso. Here's the file I got done so far:

daedrictorsof.nif

What exactly am I supposed to do to combine the four .nif files properly, so that they show all parts?

Double-posting for an entirely different thing. Here's the BeanSidhe armor converted to BodySlide. As with my previous conversions, I used Blabba's HDT body as a reference, so it should include TBBP and belly node.

I wonder if there's a better texture for this? Maybe somebody would like to try making one, unfortunately I'm not too good at that. I like the outfit, but it looks like shiny plastic to me, lol.

I also converted the SUN Magic armor using the same method as above. I made two versions, one with cape and another without. They use the same path because all I did was to erase the mesh, so you'll have to choose which one you want. In the thread where I picked the mod there's also a standalone version without skirt, but I didn't want to clutter my BodySlide folder. If you wanna use my conversion with that one, simply move the .nif files to the proper place after using BodySlide.

SUN Magic Armor.zip

(Yes, I know the pic is not mine, I'm merely using it to show which armor is it. If somebody gets itchy over it I'll take it down).

There are two details that could be improved, and I'll try so when I'm a bit better at this. First, the cape's weight paint is awful, but I'm not expert enough to know how to fix it properly (and it was like that already, not my fault, lol). If somebody could point me to a tutorial or teach me how to fix it, I'd be glad to post a fix. Also, the bracelets are kinda hovering a bit over the arm, because I couldn't make a better conversion reference here. Any attemp to tweak the bracelet manually got me awful results. I'll try to fix it along with the cape's weight paints later, but for now it doesn't really look bad, just a perfectionist itch, lol.

These are my third and fourth public conversions, so bear with me.  By the way, please don't ignore my previous post over the hype of more jiggly bodies, please, lol.

[EDIT] Fixed a bit the bracelets of the SUN armor.

[EDIT 2] Ok, today I'm on a roll, so here's another. I've updated the Vampire Cuirass with chains that I posted earlier (took that link down to avoid confusion) to include BodySlide versions of the boots, gloves and pauldrons, because I noticed that the pauldrons were clipping with my character's arms, and since I was tweaking shit in Outfit Studio, I went for the rest of the meshes. As the rest, it's supposed to be TBBP plus belly node. Remember to choose the TBBP version in BodySlide.

Vampire Cuirass.zip

If you got the previous link with only the cuirass, you don't need to change anything, just overwrite. I left the cuirass meshes exactly the same. You just need to run BodySlide for the other armor pieces. I've also included a modified .esp where the circlets are considered light armor, because my OCD was bothering me about having all the pieces as light armor except those, lol. If you don't like the change, simply ignore the .esp file. I think the wings are also set as non-armor, but I wasn't planning on using those. If anybody wants them as light armor as well and doesn't know how to fix that, just ask.

Remember that I've only included my fixes in the files, so you need the original mod beforehand. Enjoy!

[EDIT 3] Just for clarification because I got mindfucked a few moments ago, lol. The Vampire Cuirass only includes the .nif files for the ShapeData folder, because the original mod already has them converted to BodySlide and all I did was to add the new weight paints, so there's nothing wrong with it not having the slider data. Remember that you gotta download the three CBBE files from the original site: the base CBBE file, the one with the boots, pauldrons and gloves, and the one with the BodySlide folder. Then you overwrite the BodySlide folder with mine.

I wonder if my conversions were so amazing that I left people speechless. O.o *ahem*

Well, here's another. I know that the Sexy Transparent Zipsuit already has a good BodySlide version there in the main mod, but since I've been adding the belly node to some armors, I also did some tweaks to make it more fitting to the HDT body. So here are the files:

Transparent Zipsuit.zip

I hope you like! since the outfit is so tight there might be some clipping issues with some sliders. Depending on your body shape you will also probably find clipping issues when moving, specially if you got HDT enabled, but that happened with the original outfit as well. I'll try to revamp it when I'm done with my current project to see if I can solve that.

I'm still working up to craft the Magic SUN armor, but the Sidhe was a pretty much perfect conversion!

So, you might have hit the nail right on the head. A lot of the new Outfit Studio conversions don't play well with my presets; but these are doing just fine s o far.

Lil' update: The SUN Magic Armor also works beautifully... for the most part. It might be something on my end, but the butt physics on it (I'm using the cape version; because waist-capes are the sexiest) just don't stop.

My poor vampire is going to have buns of Stahlrim at this rate.

Link to comment

uh, I'm not sure about that. It works fine on my end, if we ignore the fact that the cape has horrible weight painting (which I'm sorry for, but I'm still no expert on this), but the butt part should work fine.

What .xml file are you using for the HDT? I remember I downloaded one (the latest non-stable version; I think) and it had one of the butt parameters wrong, it caused one of the butt cheeks to shake forever, lol.

Link to comment

I actually have no idea, and that's probably the problem. :P

I had to go through a whole bunch of different HDT presets before I found a combination that didn't crash my game, a while back. I'll hop into the game and experiment in a little bit; working with Outfit Studio myself at the moment.

Well, technically it's all in one post, except the daedric bound armor, and I'm currently working on a better version so I wouldn't worry much about that. I don't think I have the skills nor the amount of work done to make my own download page, but I'll certainly make a proper post here when I'm done with the new armor with all the ones I've done, fixed if there was any problem.

Hmm, I don't suppose there's anyone working on a conversion for Immersive Armors?

I tried looking at this, but with the current tools, a number of meshes don't import properly (pieces everywhere), and stuff like the tribunal robes and Morrowind Glass seem to have broken weight slider support. I only had luck with 1 set (apotheus)  of the 65 total so far in adding TBBP + Belly after creating the high and low weights, and I'm leaving everything else to someone more talented than me in NifSkope.

Whoever that is, Good Luck.

I've done a few of the immersive armors and such in OS, can't say they were too hard, in fact one of the easier armors I had to deal with.

BTW: If your using Nifskope to add weights to armors, your doing it wrong (or at least in the most inefficient manner possible) use OS/Blender/3DSMax

takes about 2 seconds to add TBBP to armor that way.

Hi there guys, here are three more conversions!

This time I've worked with the TERA Armors Collection, to experiment a bit with zap sliders and BodySlide groups. I'm going slowly with this but I suppose I'd try to get all of them done at some point.

To do these conversions I used the CBBE version of the mod, for ease. If you're interested in the pack, I'd also recommend the HDT High Heels conversion of the boots, I'm not sure it's up to date but it has most of them, a must-have if you wanna enjoy this set.

As always, they use the HDT body as a base and include all its body weights, and I offer only the BodySlide bits so you require at least the UNP mod (which is the base one). This time, I've also included zap sliders that basically "whore-ify" (lol) the outfits a bit. So, for now I've done the following outfits:

- Castanic Hunter:

25846-5-1356784029.jpg

Includes zap slider for the bra. I couldn't really find a way to zap anything else that made sense, lol.

- Silver Spellsword:

25846-1-1356784195.jpg

Includes zap sliders for the bra, pants and low cape. I wasn't sure if you could use a single zap slider for multiple meshes so I made two zap sliders for the cape: one zaps the cape and the other one zaps the little chain that attaches it to the back piece.

- Xenocite:

25846-5-1356784243.jpg

Includes zap sliders for the bra, panties and low cape. As above, there are two different sliders for the panties: the first one zaps the crotch part but leaves the little belly shield with the chains so the cape isn't floating at the back, the second one zaps the whole mesh in case you wanna strip both the panties and cape.

TERA Armors v1.0.zip

I'll probably do the boots and gloves for these next before getting into any other outfit. I hope you like them!

It would be neat to see something compatible with the 1.3 version, eventually! The current Bodyslide mod is only for 1.1-1.2, I believe.

I'm using the latest version of the TERA armor pack. The pack hosted here uses a different version of that mod with a standalone set of female armors, so as far as I know, my conversions shouldn't be compatible (unless you move the files manually).

Out of curiosity; what ENB is it you're using for those screenshots?

Those pics aren't mine, they're from the TERA armor pack's Nexus page. When I make enough armors I might take pics from my own character.

[EDIT] This should be the final edit bare for bugfixes for a while. Sorry for updating so often, lol.

Lady of Death set

80eb654e.png

This outfit has been already converted and hosted here, but after trying it I though it could use some improvements, also, the only converted model was the body piece, so I decided to take hands on the matter. I've also tweaked the mod itself to make the armor more compatible with other mods I use.

★  I've converted to BodySlide the body piece, cloak, boots and corset. The gloves are not included due to Outfit Studio not collaborating. They were very well fitted anyways, so they shouldn't clip unless you have characters with very chubby arms.

★  The reference body used for the conversions and weight paints was Blabba's HDT Body, as usual. Now it supports TBBP and belly node scalling for pregnancy.

★  The boots were slightly elongated to adapt them for the HDT High Heels System. I did this in Outfit Studio and I don't think that in a too orthodox way, but those wonderful boots had like thrice as many vertices as the CBBE body mesh, so I could do a pretty decent job. In any case, this also means that the mod requires now the HDT Heels mod to function properly, or the game will CTD on startup. That's, of course, if you're using my .esp, but if you're not, your character's feet will appear half-buried.

★  I've modified the slot used for the ribcage corset, and also added the required changes, to make it work as a Frostfall cloak, so not it should offer some exposure and rain/snow protection. I did this to address the fact that the included cloak isn't recognized as such by Frostfall (since it's equipped as a helmet).

★  I've increased the armor rating offered by the set and made sure thart it works as a light armor set to trigger the proper perks. Now each piece has the same armor rating as the Glass armor, and some pieces weight slighty less. Yes, it makes no sense that an outfit made of human bones with only a 3% of body surface covered would offer the same protection than a magically-crafted full body metal-and-crystal armor full of shine and awesome. So doesn't having wearing the outfit outdoors to begin with. GET OVER IT. Lol.

Remember that you still require the original mod for anything I didn't include, like the gloves' meshes and all the textures. Credit goes to the author to this awesome outfit.

Lady of Death.zip

As always, I consider myself still a bit green on this modding stuff so if there's any issue with anything I ask for patience. I hope everybody enjoy this conversion! It was rather satisfactory to work with.

Hi again! The previous conversion inspired me, so here's a present. I've modded a replacement for Wearable Lanterns that turns the front right travel lantern into a flaming skull!

post-285611-0-45007100-1392660060_thumb.jpg

After finishing the outfit's conversion and intending to get some playtime, I noticed just how horribly bad the normal travel lantern looked on my character. No matter which one, they didn't match, the back ones clipped through the cloak, the front ones were floating 20cm away from her body... So this idea just struck my mind.

Wearable Lanterns - Skull of Hell.zip

To get your flaming Skull of Hell you gotta use a "Travel Lantern" type light (not paper nor torchbug) and set it to be worn in the front right position. Anything else will look as a normal lantern again. The light source now it's slightly higher than the others, since it's inside the skull, and it has no white flare, so it only has the duplicated fire effect. It still produces a proper light as the original model.

The model is slightly "buried" in the character's body so it wouldn't be sticking out too much, but I think it still looks fine. I tested this mainly for my own body preset, but I suppose it shouldn't look bad unless your character is either much skinnier or chubbier.

I hope you like this!
