anyone else try this using the masterstroke modlist? 

Everything is loaded fine but it seems that I cant trigger any events to happen even at 100% chance.

Same here.  Does anyone have particular details about (relative) load order?

Thx for keeping that mod alive. Thou.. i set any chance involving sex/rape to zero. First drive, first event --> sex/rape ..... If thats not working, any chance of having the choice for female attackers ? regards

I literally have the same problem in reverse - trying to get some actual sex to happen and all 5 rides I only got the same "robbery and add devices" scenario.  Double frustrating since my PC already has full devices on (permanently, for this save) so nothing gets added and I set the option for 0 gold theft.  So basically nothing is happening.  I have it set to 70% chance for any event, 100% complex, and 100% each to driver sex and bandit sex.  Five rides, zero sex.

 

Thank you to the mod author for your effort, and I will keep trying any updated versions you can provide, but this is borked.

Nice having mod updated.

 

Would be nice to have option to remove the check for actually using a carriage (sit animation) and my hope would be that would mean it could trigger on any fast travel. I try to play with fast travel disabled but tend to turn it back on just due to limited time to play at times. Way I would view a fast travel in this case is you are walking to nearest carriage and still taking it. Have actually tried looking for a mod years ago, that would emulate this by if still requiring to pay carriage fee on fast travel, probably based on distance of fast travel but didn't found one.

 

Edit: This triggered me to research for mod and found "Fast Travel Cost" so would be nice to work with something like that

I am guessing it has something to do with carriage and ferry travel overhaul. It says in the previous versions that anything that changes the carriage system will likely brick the mod.

Unfortunately it seems it isnt even possible to deactivate in masterstroke because there are a bunch of other mods patched to it.

it works now if you install the CFTO patch for DCR, ive tested it

I get similar results to what you are seeing.  Though in my case i have the device and robbery events set to 0 and that seems to be all i get still :/

I love the idea of this mod and wish I could include it into my game, but sadly there are a few things that make it impossible for me personally.

Writing it here because I think my first issue ought to be an easy fix and my second issue is worth being aware of.

 

First of all is the time use, right now when I have an event what happens is that I first hire the carriage, I get to my destination (ingame time passes), I then get picked up by the mod and fast travelled to its location (ingame time passes), the event plays out and afterwards I am once again fast travelled to my destination (ingame time passes).
The result is that due to my needs mods a simple excursion has suddenly caused my character to become exhausted, starving, and dying of thirst. Furthermore my Devious Follower unloads a massive debt upon me and any time sensitive quest I might have been on has been failed or is 1-2 days closer to deadline, all because I wanted to move from Whiterun to Falkreath.

 

This I feel can easily be fixed by simply having the teleport to the second location be instantaneous, if people desperately want time to pass anyway and aren't using Devious Followers or Needs Mods or anything else relying on time then maybe a toggle in the MCM?

 

The second issue is a complete incompatibility with Skyrim Washrines Immersive Fast Travel, I don't know how as it doesn't overwrite anything but somehow the mod being installed completely breaks the dialogue used by the shrines to fast travel. Works perfectly fine without Devious Carriages. Carriage drivers going around wrecking the competition perhaps?

 

These were both issues with the LE edition back in the day, so now with this wondrous mod back in development I am hopefull something can be done about these.

Because right now it basically finishes one fast travel, then ports you over to it's remote location, then ports you back after the shenanigans. Can't really think of a way around it - I've even tried using MoveTo instead of FastTravel, but that somehow constantly left the followers behind if I had them with me during tests. 🫠

 

so it sounds like it's currently not an easy fix... at least to keep intended functionality.

I love this mod but I am at the limit for mods I can have installed and it doesnt work properly so it has to go. Problem is it corrupts my save when I uninstall the mod. Is there a work around for that?

Ah, thank you for pointing it out, had a look to see if someone had brought it up already and must have skipped past it somehow.

I do feel that it is doable, I use SWIFT as I mentioned, and that mod is capable of teleporting your follower together with you without time passing, dunno how easy it is to look at how that mod does it but that's where I would look, maybe ask the creator if they're still around.

I donwloaded the voice pack and what I think is the latest version of the mod, but is the mod (besides the voice pack) only supposed to be a 500 something kb? The mod does not show in my in-game mod overview..

The voice pack is in the "DCR_voicepack_1.1.7z" file, which is over 18 MB in size.
Maybe you downloaded something else by mistake, or your download is corrupted.

 

EDIT: sorry, i didn't read your question properly.

 

Yes, the download for main mod ("DCarriage Redux 1.0.5.7z") is only 588 kB, and about 2.6 MB when unpacked.

What is your "in-game mod overview"? MCM?

 

If you downloaded the right file and installed it properly, and still don't see the MCM, try waiting a minute or two or making a new save, then load the new save - that usualy helps the MCM to wake up and recognize newly installed MCM mods.
If that doesn't help, make sure you have all the dependencies correctly installed.

CFTO actually doesn't use vanilla carriage drivers. It copies them and disables the original NPCs. They look like the vanilla ones, have the same voice lines and most of the AI packages, but they're different actors with different IDs as far as game is concerned. Therefore any mod that relies on vanilla drivers will not work without a patch.

I solved it; I had forgotten to enable the plugin for the mod before starting. It`s working now.

I wonder what are the tags for sex scenes in the events because for me the selection of animations is very limited. Only bound aggressive animations seem to play even if my character is unbound. Is there a way to fix this?
