Better Female Walk

I love that. I think if we start hosting all our lovely mods here and not at Nexus it'll force the people that want our mods to come here instead. Which is a plus IMO.

why doesnt it work on orcs

Anyone???

From what I see ingame, the orc's vanilla walk anims are different from a normal humanoid's vanilla walk.

If orcs use different walk animation files, the mod won't work on orcs.

When I saw the Cat Walk on Nexus, I was so giddy with excitement, because I thought it would be the Cat Woman animation from Batman Arkham City.

Then I saw it under moderation, and I was like, "I knew it was too good to be true. Fuck you Nexus! Why cant a guy use a stock walk animation from another video game!"

Then I go on Lovers and find out it was this same walk animation and that Nexus was just following through on what you guys reported, and I was like, "Yay! Nexus is our bitch!"

This is my attempt to create a better walk for females. It is a work in progress and is far from finished but it's at least to a point where I will share it with others to get some feedback on it

Update I added a differnt option for those who like more of a subtle walk without alot of the exageration.

To Do-

Figure out why the animation seems to skip a frame or two when in the game. I am open to sugestions from more experianced annimators on how to resolve this issue the beginning and ending frames contain an identical pose so if anything it should hesitate when looping. [uPDATE- Well it may not be something I am doing as I took the default walk annimation converted it to kf then imported it into 3ds and without changing anything exported it back into a kf and converted it over to a hkx file again and the skip appeared in that as well. So it's possible it is something with the import/export pluggin for 3ds]

Continue to adjust skirt bones as more issues are found.

Continue to tweak the walk animation.

Update-

Some general fine tuning of the annimation while also speeding up it up to take care of the skating.

adjusted the skirt bones a bit to reduce some of the clipping issue when wearing robes and such that use them.

Found and fixed the cloth bunching up issue. some of the skirt bones did not export correctly.

Smoothed out some of the skipping issue when the left leg steps forward.

Edit-

Forgot to add two of the annimation files' date=' so added them.

mt_walkforwardleft.hkx

mt_walkforwardright.hkx.

I'm also running CBBE Slim bod version, Fantastic job ye far :)

How's it go? A wiggle and a walk, and a giggle and a talk, whoa! makes the world go round round round.

Thanks Dude

Rofl! I don't think many people on this board will catch a Big Bopper reference but I certainly have. :D

Excellent work! a lot better than the vanilla ' date='now i need bouncing breast! :D ,thank`s!.

I have to say that I can't help but think the breast physics might actually be possible as a simulation instead of as a forced part of the animations? A modification to the skeleton and mesh to facilitate a physics-enabled soft body or something?

@ Tipsynaruto

Breast animation has absolutely nothing to do with the Creation Kit/Contruction Set. It's all based on skeleton modifications (to add new bones), animation modifications (make the new bones move for each animation file) and mesh modifications (parent parts of the mesh to the new bones so it animates with the modified animation files).

The easier yet less elegant way is to partially rig the breasts to the feet. Not the best results but less work needed. This is how it was done in OB before people starting adding bones and changing the actual animation file.

@ Shogar

Skyrim doesn't use body/cloth physics such as HavokCloth, they only used Havok's animation blending engine. IIRC they said they aren't using Havok's physics engine either, that's it's built in-house; don't quote me on that though, I'm not sure

My point is that there's a very low probability that we can have actual body physics, it will probably have to be faked through animation file edits.

Can i get your permission to upload your mod to nexus

Please respond

It's best to let the author upload his own mod. If he wants it on Nexus he'll put it there.

I cant wait for you guys to get that modders kit!!! Things are going so well already but just thinking of all the possibilities.. its mind blowing!!! keep up the good work.

Hi :) Sorry my english ....:P

Great Work . I like this Walk

I try to make animation but I have the same skirt problem with some meshes.

But now I think the problem is the rigging of some Bethesha meshes.... Is possible this?

Ok Clipping is possible fix with skirt bones .

Bethesha Fault

Should be the rigging on the cloth itself. I'm guessing the physics isn't working as intended. I'd wait for the full version to come out. Hopefully the CK can reveal what the physics is like...

There are no cloth physics in Skyrim. Every outfit is controlled solely by the skinning.

@jojo77

It's an issue with the outfit's vertices that are weighted to several bones (other than the skirt bones). It would probably be best to re-skin the entire outfit to get rid of the issue, but that's a lot of work, plus you might get issues with other animations...

Oh Bethesda error?

So all custom animation have the same problem with this outfit?

Why the entire outfit? Copy the weights and then fix the skirt, no need to redo the entire thing. MadCat221 did something similar here: http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=2903

You can probably copy the weights from his fixed mesh and go from there.

Looks Great!

I am seeing an issue when walking directionally to the side though. If I hold both forward and to the side, I get a skating effect to the side rather than having the character turn in that direction like the standard animation.
