nehaberlan Posted September 23, 2024 Posted September 23, 2024 Hi, There are downgrade patcher for Skyrim and Creation Kit. I'm looking for a patcher that downgrades the mods that have been created for Skyrim SE 1.6+ and or 1.7 to SE 1.5.97. Is there any patcher like that? Or, is there anyway to do that? If you can help me anyway, I'll appreciate.
Tlam99 Posted September 23, 2024 Posted September 23, 2024 Xedit change in header from 1.71 to 1.70. In rare cases, where the new functions have been used, scripts need to be changed. However, never saw a mod with those. There are 3 as far I know. All 3 very specialized sneak extenstions. For my impression introduced for one reason. 1

Kastagir Posted September 24, 2024 Posted September 24, 2024 SKSE plugins (.dll) made for a newer version of Skyrim would need to be recompiled to work with an older version. There is no simple alternative.

For my impression introduced for one reason. Or using BEES. But that only covers the plugin part. There's still other dependencies or SKSE plugins to worry about, and the latter will require to be recompiled and probably RE for previous versions. So it's a procedure out of reach for 99% of users. Also new mods using new available functions? Suspicious. Edited September 24, 2024 by Just Don't 1
