I created an account to say thanks and to share that I spent the last week adding the Sevii Islands, Naval Rock, and Faraway Island to Feral F. More details are in the intro.txt file but basically talk to Bill in the Cinnabar Island Poke Center after becoming Champion and it'll go from there. Trainer Tower doesn't work. Feral F's main campaign is untouched. Ya... That's it. https://www.mediafire.com/file/bnrb7gwp1wjg9mm/Feral+F+Sevii+Islands+Project.zip/file Download it and try playing an this appears any help

My guess is that it can't read/write to the new folder I made for saves. What I did is make a version of my update that uses the original saving logic. Hopefully, this works for you. I don't have the means to test this. For Windows users, I suggest using the second mediafire link in the previous page. The new save location is much easier to get to and manage than the RMXP's default location in AppData. See below for updated links. Edited August 23 by Sevii88

I can't edit posts or upload things yet. Here's the updated link: https://www.mediafire.com/file/ofretkifrsushs9/Feral_F_Sevii_Islands_Project.zip/file Okay, so I've been playing with the game included in the second link, there's a lot of trainers that crash the game, like the admin in the five island warehouse and the couple in the canyon. I am such a fucking idiot and kept forgetting to save so that's my bad but you do need to take a look at those two especially as to figure out why that's the case. I literally just grinded and caught a gible when I walked into the couple in the Seven Island Canyon and he crashed my game. For now I'll be taking my sleep cus I lost 2 hours twice over.
Legonut031 Posted August 23 Posted August 23 I also haven't tested the new abilities (Battle Bond 2) to see if they crash the game, using the Sabrina exclusive item did crash my game, I'll test that again tomorrow to see if that persists on everyone. Sevii Islands are a nice addition though, spoilers there's a ton of Pseudos you could add to your team. The new legendaries have catch rates of 3 so be careful of sharting your wallet with how many ultra balls you're wasting, even Jynx lovely kiss didn't cut it. The runes in the Ruby chamber also crashed my game.

I literally just grinded and caught a gible when I walked into the couple in the Seven Island Canyon and he crashed my game I'm sorry that you ran into these issues. Thank you for the reports. I've fixed all of the issues that you listed and verified that Battle Bond 2 on Misty2 does work (no crash). Some of the crashes you encountered did not occur while play testing in RPG Maker - they only happened if I launched the game from the exe. Good to know. I play tested in RPG Maker because it logs errors and has a console that shows other errors (such as missing resources). Attached are the updated versions. (I can attach things now, yay). Earlier links have been removed. Edit - Sep. 10th - Added a rock smash key item (Dugtrio's Pokeball) to the game. - Receive it from the old man in Ember Spa off to himself. - Holy oversight - Gen 9 variants: Added missing evolution methods to a few Pokémon. - Thanks to askaron00 for pointing this out. - Thanks to DerpedPerd for all of their help. Sep. 8th - Fixed missing music throughout Sevii Islands and Legend encounters. - Uses classic music tracks. - I play Pokemon games on mute... ya, silly oversight on my part. - Finally fixed braille tablets. (surely) - Surfing is disabled in Navel Rock. - Fixed badge progress appearing to be reset in Sevii Islands. - Forces region 1 (sevii islands) to use region 0's (Kanto) badges. Sep. 7th - Swimmer Denny is now Swimmer Danny...... Sep. 6th - Fixed Swimmer on Kindle Road. - Fixed remaining braille tablets in Mt. Ember and Dotted Hole. Aug. 29th - Fixed Icefall Cave Lorelei area. Had 27 tile errors. - Moved links to forum hosted instead of mediafire. Aug. 24th, getting an error (-200) while attaching. Mediafire links are back for now. - Fixed Gentleman in Water Labryinth, now gives choice of Hoenn starter egg. - Added back move relearner/forgetter; now all fat men NPCs in Sevii Island Poke Centers (and Trainer Tower lobby) can teach/delete moves. Legonut031 Posted August 24 Posted August 24 I've finished the Sevii Islands just missing Raikou and the Latis, it's pretty nice and there's a lot of Pokemon I obtained that's pretty good, despite most being less useful Johto mons there's a nice bit of Pseudos and potentially great stuff like Vibrava, Crawdaunt, and Marill. Gen 4 balls might have been a bit more useful against the legends but there's none. So yeah I'd suggest a Parasect or Jynx for sleep against some of the peskier mons to catch. There's still a bug, if you took the treecko egg in Water Labyrinth and talk to the person who gave you once more it'll crash the game. Items work as intended. There's a bit of items added back into Kanto like the Old Sea Map, I haven't checked if Protector and Upgrade are as they are in Zero. I checked and repeatable tutors are only in Seven Islands. Metronome and Lax Incense is nice but as they are in Sevii they don't really have much use in a nuzlocke. Adjusted shiny rates could be really nice for a shinylocke though. Probably at 1/4 to reference the cute charm glitch. Saw an ability patch in Three Island but I've been aching to get more. It's probably sold in Trainer Tower lol. My Backer-Electric struggled to one shot literally everything with one swords dance now mainly because I EV IV Nature for Max HP Max Def, baton pass to Pseudos and Cowgirl still works but that feeling when you find out your goat washed lmao.

I've been using your version of the game to tweak things a bit. It originally started as just a complete overhaul for most of the girls in the game, adjusting their stats, giving them more varied movepools, changing up their abilities, and things like that. At first, I was planning to keep it private, but as I kept adding more and more content, I thought it would be great to share it here. First, I started by adding Ability Capsules and Ability Patches, which allowed me to switch between abilities and give the girls carefully chosen (mostly) Hidden Abilities to make them more interesting or stronger in battle. Of course, such powerful abilities come with a price: 5,000 Game Corner points, and only available in Celadon City. Then I had a silly idea while editing Whitney, and after watching a YouTube tutorial, I managed to code a completely new ability into the game. Inspired by Combee's ability to pick up Honey after battle, Whitney2 can now do the exact same thing, but with MooMoo Milk! It was quite a headache to get working, but I finally pulled it off. For now, only Whitney can get it as a potential ability upon receiving her, and Mom has it as a Hidden Ability (Moxie is already way too good on her to give her something even stronger as an HA, so I gave her a joke ability to balance it out). After that, I kept editing the girls until I reached Lusamine. I love Lusamine, and Lusamine2's sprite is one of my absolute favorites, but I wasn't really sold on her being Dark-type. She's fused with Nihilego, so why Dark? I decided to change her type to Poison, but before doing that, another idea popped into my head: what if I created a move similar to Nuzzle, but inflicting three status conditions at once? So I got to work and created Mind Break, a 20 BP physical attack that poisons, confuses, and infatuates the target all at the same time. Only Lusamine2 and Ariana can learn it, but I thought it was a really fun concept, especially since it took me a while to program as a complete beginner. Now that everything is working smoothly, I wanted to post here and ask for your permission to use your mod as a base for my own version. The goal is to let the weaker girls shine or find their own niche, while the already strong girls get at most a subtle ability tweak or an extra option. But don't worry, I won't just be making the player's team overpowered, since playing through the game with them can already feel like a walk in the park, I'm planning to make key boss battles much more challenging (not quite Radical Red level, but definitely tough). I'm also thinking of adding "mini-boss" trainers on certain routes with exceptionally strong teams. With that said, I'll wrap this up here! I hope to get your green light so I can release this tweak whenever it's ready. (Any suggestions for a new ability or move are welcome.) 2

I hope to get your green light so I can release this tweak whenever it's ready. (Any suggestions for a new ability or move are welcome.) You got some good ideas there. I would say that Mind Break should be a 5/5 PP move, because it is THAT strong. PP Ups can already bump it to 8/8 PP. Sure, it is a fangame, so balance be darned. But think about the enemy trainers with it, if they start circulating. That debuff stack is insane (granted, Infatuation only works on opposite sex targets, unless you changed that in the code, but still)! I did a personal edit for the Mom in my copy, in that I just had her be able to learn Pay Day on one of the early levels, sorta like how Gen 2 Mom is practically a banker that spends your money for odd item purchases. Which is why I also had her have Pick-Up as a secondary Ability next to Moxie (with Scrappy as a HA, because who else would deal with ghost types who are against her son)! Lactation is a great idea for an ability, though. Would be fun if it also powered up the "Milk Drink" move in order to make it a party-wide heal in double battles (while also guaranteeing a MooMoo Milk held after using it). Also, if MooMoo Milk were also changed to be an item that could be used in a pinch when held. Personally, I've been writing down ability and move ideas for this sort of game, too. I could send you the notes at a later point if interested. Just let me know. By the way, can anyone update the game engine stuff to also be able to use the Gen IX content? It's been something I wanted to play with for some time now, but I am still a newbie with Pokéssentials. But I heard that there is already some plugins made to support the new moves, items, and abilities. Edited August 24 by konpon568 1

In fact, I've already implemented the function where the Lactation ability boosts the power of healing moves, as well as making Moomoo Milk work as a held item that triggers when HP drops to 25%. I also reduced Mind Break's PP to just 1 (similar to Sketch) so it can only be used once per battle. As for your suggestion about adding Gen 9 content, I've actually been thinking about doing that too, there are a few moves and abilities I'd love to have in the game that aren't there yet, so I'll do some research and try to add them. I'd also love for you to share those ideas you mentioned; maybe I can incorporate them to make the girls even more interesting!

I am still ironing out some stuff, because I do think it just has to fit the gameplay while also not being a renamed alternative of an existing move and ability. We already have enough of those in the base games. So, I will get to it soon enough with a few handouts. By the way, this reminded me that there is a pretty famous rom hack that had its features open source for GBA rom modding. The name of the rom hack is called "Elite Redux". It brought to the table a lot of new tools under and over the hood for a bunch of recent romhacks in places like even Hackdex, so maybe you have seen them before. The main aspects to draw from it were the concept of Pokémon having more than 4 abilities active at a time. They have 3 abilities that are innate to its species, and the 4th slot is for selecting one of 3 choices that can complement their 3 innate abilities. That said, this is not why I am sharing this here, because I know that concept on its own is its own spaghetti pot to fill in code. The reason I am sharing the Pokédex is because they made a whole sea of moves and abilities that are unique to it, as it includes all nine generations of Pokémon, along with every variant known in most media, and a whole truckload of regional-ish variants and mega evos, etc, etc, also in it. I do think it is well-designed, despite how massive it is to have as an afternoon read. Anyway, here is their official "Online Pokédex" for their thing. You could get inspired by several of those, IMO. Because I got a few ideas adopted from it, too.

I'm not a big fan of games where trainers have Legendary and illegal Pokémon just to make the game harder, but I thought the innate ability mechanics were really interesting. By the way, I was able to add almost all of the Generation 9 Pokémon to the game. It was a little tricky because I had to modify the metrics of all the sprites one by one, but I managed to finish it.

Just having the files and code assets is more than enough. Mainly because the next part is getting sprites to go with the assembly. That said, if there was ever something with having certain variants of the humanoid Pokémon via breeding or similar, to the point of having them not only off-model in design, but more human-like than usual... it would be fun to see somehow. You know, like Gardevoir, Gothitelle, a far more stylized Jynx with its more pronounced Gyaru roots, a more human-like Lucario and Lopunny pokégirl, etc. For now, this project has been all for the female human characters with Pokémon powers and abilities, and having the most recent content from the latest games is what we need right now. And IIRC, Kwevlo is making ones based on women from other IPs, so it will eventually not be just characters from this franchise. 1 hour ago, ezikG said: Oh yeah, I've heard of that HackROM. Yeah, I didn't share it for the Pokémon and the power creep. Though, I will say that what they did isn't a difficulty hack. All the stuff they made has, oddly enough, been made with some thought put into it. A lot of the Pokémon that ARE pretty much benched for life after the early game are viable the entire way. And trainers don't actually have the legendaries like you say. I just shared what I shared because I like a lot of their custom moves and ability concepts that we could have adopted in this and many other projects. Tools that we can use to assemble some new unique ideas. And maybe going beyond the 2 abilities and 1 Hidden one when hunting between random encounters. The code here supports it already since day one. That said, the Ability Capsule/Patch item doesn't support selecting from a list of what they can have. It's more like rerolling the ability if more than 2 are set in their category in that Pokémon, IIRC. Edited August 25 by konpon568
