I am not familiar with JoiPlay. My guess is that it can't read/write to the new folder I made for saves. What I did is make a version of my update that uses the original saving logic. Hopefully, this works for you. I don't have the means to test this.

For Windows users, I suggest using the second mediafire link in the previous page. The new save location is much easier to get to and manage than the RMXP's default location in AppData.

The girls are static, the girls or mons icons from ur party are showed side by side on the menu as well.
