lack of NSFW decoration mods

we really arnt getting any nsfw decor parts for our bases and ships like posters and paintings, which i felt would be the easiest of nsfw mods to make (im ignoring ones that are just AI generated images)

Well then, step up and make the art yourself, or source the royalty free photosgraphs and put them together in a mod yourself.

 

If you can't do it yourself then you just need to wait for those who can to do it.

Check Nexus for "nsfw" mods. There are quite a few available, depending on your taste (anime or photo-realistic).

I am trying to make one, but I want to put them in their own ctegory in the Decoration menu and I haven't figured out how to do that.

Any suggestions?

I don't know, but I'm guessing it's probably the same structures as Fallout 4 used for the workshop. So Constructable Objects for the recipies, and then keywords and leveled lists/objects.

 

Have you tried looking at a starfield mod that adds categories the same sort of way. That might be the fastest way to figure it out.

I did find the Decorations Keyword and a guide on how to make constructible itmes for that category but I havent found a way to make a new sucategory and tell the game it should be in the Decrations category. I found the list for some subcategories that are in it, but these have a couple of packins in them, not the objects (I don't know why) but I could find how do you tell CK (and thus the game) that that list should be in the Decorations menu.

I havent found a mod that does that to check out how, but eve if I do I am guesing I will have to use the SFEdit to do that, not the CK.

Something to note is that Fallout 4 has some serious cross-mod incompatibilities when it came to categories. I think it was fixed with a mod / framwork thingy, but I remember that at the start you could only have 1 mod that adds categories, else they'd kind of overwrite each other. It could have been a simple user error by not dynamically adding the keywords to the formlists, I don't really remember the details. Something to look out for, though.

Honestly i've been avoiding lewd decoration type mods, mostly because they look super out of place in the game right now. The actual NPCs dress extremely stuffy, like nobody shows any skin at all. So posters with naked AI women right next to them would kill my ✨immersion✨ completely. So first i need a skimpy clothing overhaul and proper sex frameworks, then decorations. And since i'm not talented enough to do all that programming myself i'm gonna wait and chill for now lmao.

 

Ay someone make a full document on how to use the new CK man, i opened it once and noped tf out. So many buttons, so many windows everywhere. Shit's intimidating.

I have a strong feeling that AI is the wave of the future, and any "hand drawn" or "not AI" images will likely be scraped from people without their permission and get insta-banned once that pilfering is discovered. I've lost count of how many Astral Lounge and the Key music mods got banned from the Nexus because of copyright strikes. They were awesome, but stolen -- and the posters didn't even deny it in their description pages. Figured they wouldn't get taken down, but they did. But that's beside the point. I want to be pleasantly surprised, but I'm not going to bet that we'll see anything different. It would be awesome if an artist volunteered some awesome work -- animated or photo -- but I'm just not seeing that in the future.

honestly the only difference between AI and just stealing directly is AI likes to pretend its not stealing, so i dont see much of a difference and honestly prefer if someone just steals art at this point cause at least the OP has a chance at getting compensation or getting it taken down then
