Zolt Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 Shinyness isn't the problem, but the shape of the face looks a bit too Oblivion-ish to my taste.
sora3 Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 I tend to agree with Jexsam here. From the screenshots' date=' the skin I can deal with but the structure of the head just doesn't scream right here. The forehead is too large and the cheekbone structure is just plain wrong. I know I'm nitpicking but it's not Barbie-kingdom we're talking here. [/quote'] It comes out a lot better in game. Bella's screenshots don't do her work justice at all. Even so, there is still some bits of it that doesn't scream right with me. I've tried it and I didn't like how she did skin textures. Yes, it was smooth as silk but I still like some depth and blemishes in it.

Ryanhabs Posted December 10, 2011 Author Posted December 10, 2011 Today I ran across this.. http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=3235 HD face textures by newermind43. Even though he includes a smoothed vanilla face mesh with his textures I decided to keep bella's meshes and use these textures. The result came out really well, also it got rid of the really shiny face skin and no more discoloration between neck and body.
tigreton Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 For me, the best combo is: bella textures + no shine + no more blocky faces
DocClox Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 Can't please everyone' date=' "don't like, don't use". pretty simple. [/quote'] It'd be a pretty dull discussion though, if we are only allowed to post messages that said we liked the mod in question. Personally, I find the textures lovely and some of the screenshots are positively jaw-dropping, but ... they look out of place on faces around Whiterun, somehow. Even the low-shine-less-makeup combo makes the city seem like a fashion catwalk, which I find jarring. It's odd, really. I use Colourwheel's Sexy Overhaul on Oblivion which has everyone looking and dressing like catwalk models, and it doesn't bother me at all. But in Skyrim, for some reason it does. Now if she does a custom race, like the her blood elves and vampires in Oblivion, I think that'd be different. I don't mind my char looking like that. I just don't want it for half the NPCs in the game.

Ryanhabs Posted December 13, 2011 Author Posted December 13, 2011 There has been no conflict over this mod in this thread over liking or not liking the style of the mod, so I don't see anything bad in any of the comments. Not every mod will suit everyone's individual tastes. If comments got heated or out of hand I would certainly either have the topic deleted or ask for the direction of conversation change in thread. I think there have been some great ideas offered about certain combination of facial mods in here so far, personally.

tigreton Posted December 13, 2011 Posted December 13, 2011 You have to install first Bella textures. Then you install no shine textures. And finally you install no more blocky faces.
Alyss Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 You have to install first Bella textures. Then you install no shine textures. And finally you install no more blocky faces. lol no. Overwriting Bella's femalehead_msn with No More Blocky Faces version turns this: into this: Obviously it's not going to be the case with every character, but I assume those _msn files are responsible for smoothing out the horrible wrinkles in faces so I'd much rather stick with one that gets rid of them. It's a must for Breton characters.
Xtramustard Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 I think it is strange for people to flame mods that make changes to appearance and armors saying that it is not lore friendly. If lore friendly is so important than why are you looking for mods that change these qualities. If you are so adamant about it then why comment and flame something that from the start you don't care for. I personally enjoy these mods and thank the modders that they have the creative vision to put to code their ideas of perception. Lore friendly isn't always the only way.. Again, thank god for modders and sometimes an opinion should be kept to yourself. (much like mine I bet lol)
HentaiGnome Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 For my anime-like characters, I have MBP++ and XEO to thank for. But when it comes to "western" characters, Bella's mods have always been my go-to on the list.

Saying, "I don't like this" might be a pretty pointless thing to post, but it's not flaming. No-one's actually trying to stir things up, just giving their opinion.
Xtramustard Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 My reference to flame was from the Nexus site where this mod is. Not stirring things as you say, opinion being what it is...
Alyss Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 Oh, I see. Yeah, I don't bother with the comments at Nexus for a good reason...
Xtramustard Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 Not to get too off topic but I agree with that statement.. if it wasn't for the mods I wouldn't be there..

(much like mine I bet lol) [/quote'] Well, this thread is the first time I'd seen or heard about this BellaGail. When I saw "pretty" in the title, I had no reason to assume that it actually meant "sandpaper". It was only after I arrived that I realized what I was actually getting into. I figured while I was here I'd leave a remark. It's that simple, really. If it makes you feel better, this is the only thread on the entire forum where I've deliberately left negative remarks. I don't make habit of trolling; that leads to bans and I like this place too much to flame everywhere and risk the banhammer.
senna Posted December 30, 2011 Posted December 30, 2011 Is there any possibility of contact with her? because STIUPID admins of thenexus site, blocked PW to her, and blocked her mod... like others mods witch beautiful girls... I think nexus admin is a gay...
Ryanhabs Posted December 30, 2011 Author Posted December 30, 2011 Only way I would know to contact her would be through nexus. Although, were you just looking to download the mod or were you just trying to contact her about said mod? If your just looking to download the face mod here is another link http://www.mediafire.com/?2vdmottxos4gpzr
Xtramustard Posted December 30, 2011 Posted December 30, 2011 I asked the Buddha admin about that and he said the comments were turning into a flaming war so that is why comments were stopped. He said you can still download the mod tho. And from the activity button I think she is still there cause it looked like there was activity recently. May not be mod update but something.. just fyi It is an amazing mod, she is very good. Hope to see more from her after the ck.
