Bluegunk Posted May 22, 2024 Posted May 22, 2024 (edited) Skyrim AE, latest version. I cannot get rid of survival mod. It got turned on somewhere and I'm stuck with it! 🤬 🤬 I follow these instructions to remove it: Head outdoors, reset all settings to default. Unclick Survival mode. Save. put settings back and...theoretically---job done. Only seconds later, the screen goes read and stomach rumbles (despite eating one goat leg roast and three cabbages!) Any other things I could try, I'd be really grateful to learn them! Thanks Edited May 22, 2024 by Bluegunk
Grey Cloud Posted May 22, 2024 Posted May 22, 2024 You eat three cabbages and wonder why your stomach rumbles? 😁 1
Bluegunk Posted May 22, 2024 Author Posted May 22, 2024 (edited) Lol... 😄 I tried the SkyUI Difficulty Persistence Fix which cured it, but it destroys the Untarnished UI. UPDATE - got a newer version - am trying. Will report back. Edited May 22, 2024 by Bluegunk
Just Don't Posted May 22, 2024 Posted May 22, 2024 That fix is available for pretty much all the recent UI reskins. I'm sure there is one for Untarnished, maybe it's included in the unsquish fixes. I can't check the Nexus atm to give link though. 1
traison Posted May 22, 2024 Posted May 22, 2024 (edited) I thought there was no unticking survival mode? Doesn't it say something like "this can't be disabled" when its enabled? Anyhow, wouldn't ReSaver fix this like any other scripted mod? As in, turn off quests, remove spells, disable as much as possible while in game, then save and delete scripts with ReSaver? Bluegunk Posted May 22, 2024 Author Posted May 22, 2024 I got it. The new Quest Journal Fixes mod solves the problem and patches for Untarnished UI, too. Case closed!
Bluegunk Posted May 22, 2024 Author Posted May 22, 2024 @Traison - thanks! You are truly hyperactive! It's been an issue for a lot of players that Survival Mode is switched on, but the tick box appears empty. The trick was to set all settings to default, which shows Survival Mode to be active, and then switch it off. Job done. Well, it's the keeping it switched off was the problem for me. It just sprang back into action. But the solution above resolved it. Many thanks for your input - I do appreciate it. 1
Just Don't Posted May 22, 2024 Posted May 22, 2024 Yeah it's related to some UI changes they did in the latest updates, nothing to do with scripts. 1
