That's strange, how does it crash?  Does crash as soon as you change to the character?  The more details the better, I'm happy to try and help but I didn't have any crashes when I used the mod and I cant think of any reason there would be a problem with the mod unless the folder name is too long, you could rename the folder to just "CanterellaMerge".  Can you run the original Cantarella elegant mod without any crashes?

Did something else, might do more Carlotta mod, starting with Exce's

Anyway 

 

Sister Carlotta + FX 

Default toggle :  arrow keys, + ctrl, + alt, + shift,  "." ,  ","
Figure them out yourself
 

Toggles added:

Jewelery color : 9 
(only 2 cause lazy)
 

FX Glow  : 0
Neck Cloth/Bib Transparency : Alt +  ( =/+ )
White/Black cloths :  ( =/+ )
Strip/Break Cloth toggle : Shift + Up
 

Glow brightness : [ or ] (same as rabbit's hotkey)
 

FX applies only to forte and utl, ping me if you want a toggle for it on always or something
 

Strip toggle breaks clothes when Carlotta Forte is Full and When Utling
Forte - Less clothes
Utl - Mostly nude

the game crashes as soon as i put the mod in the mod manager and the game will not open until i take the mod back out

I don't use a mod manager so I'm not familar with how that works.  I did use the original ini files rather than the ones that were active from the download links you provided, so if you have to do something special to a mod before you can use it in a mod manager you might need to do it again with the new merged mod.  Beyond that, I don't know how else to help, sorry.

idk with the mod manager I'm using all i have to do is put the mod in and that's all so idk why its crashing my game tbh

It's working fine on my case, only problem i had was that the brilliant hair wasn't working because of outdated hashes, but i had a strange case of crash while testing with hash fixers, tried to make some comparisons but even despite both the version that crash and doesn't having the same mod.ini, it didn't really solve at all, i also did some rabbitFX fix while in the process so might be related somehow, regardless
if you want the modified result of this, it might work for you

have you tried disabling others mods you might be using to check for conflicts?
i'm using the skinselectimpact mod manager myself, and have many others mods up but i haven't tested with others mod managers
you can also try without mod manager just to see if it could be that too

Any chance you could merge the hair and face from that one with this version as well?
it seems to be a different version made by someone of the same model, but the clothing is much less glitchy on this one (especially the long skirt version)
