This guy is like Levi in that they both use "stock" ini templates that have all of their possible toggles/features, then disconnect whichever parts they're not using.

 

None of the variables on the keys are bound to anything and none of the draw calls are separated to allow for toggling in the first place, this appears to have been designed as an untoggleable mod, but this guy just copy pasted his shit in there like usual and called it a day. 

 

Part of his "leftovers" has a bunch of variants for certain textures, so I assume there was supposed to be a colour toggle of some sorts, but even after making sure everything was working in theory I can't actually see the chances, I assume because I don't have the "cecchange" dependency for it. 

 

As for the textures themselves, well the dress is one long piece and there isn't a body beneath it, the only skin in the textures is the skin that is already exposed, this means that the dress itself is essentially "part of the skin" so removing it would just leave holes where it used to be.

All in all there's nothing really for me to "fix" beyond removing some errors, if this mod was presented as having toggles to begin with then whoever did that was in the wrong, even if it was the modder leaving the keys in the file to begin with.

Is there a guide anywhere on editing .dds files/general texture editing? I can't for the life of me figure out what settings to open them with (using Photoshop with NVIDIA Texture Tools Exporter), let alone what settings to save the file with in order for the end result to not be washed out. Also unsure if how the .dds maps onto the model is consistent across different mods, or if they all map them out differently. It's super difficult to figure out which part of the .dds file actually appears where on the model. E.g. on Cartethyia's Chronopattern mod, I spent forever trying to figure out how to remove the beauty mark on her breast, but just could NOT figure it out. It almost seemed like it was something else overlayed on top of the .dds file textures.

no one has ported over those textures without qos. but i tried my hand at copying the red dress. comes as-is.

 

you could manually add all the tattoos except the ones you dont like using the texture files of that mod in paint.net

not that i know of, i have a basic guide on adding rabbit fx to mods which gets into texture editing a bit using paint.net

 

but for your case..

you need to save your textures in BC7 (sRGB, DX11+) format.

if its a light/normal map, you need to save your textures in BC7 (Linear, DX11+) format.

 

mods with toggles usually have multiple texture files. if you want an ez way to see which one is currently applied, delete them one by one and F10 untill the body goes black. once it does, you've found it. lol

 

restore and edit.
