With games in EA better wait for the full release anyway. The Hades IP also delivers quite the sexy art to begin with, so it would be nice seeing what the end result is. But a naked 3D model of Melinoë, roaming around the map would be quite sweet.

This whole project is just as exciting and anticipated as the full games release! I was hoping this would have happened back when hades 1 dropped but alas no luck. Can't wait to see how this all turns out. Everything so far is phenomenal.

I am working on creating a r2modman compatible NSFW mod that will be regularly updated, once done. By regular updates I mean all of game's steam updates and also all new NSFW art that will be created here (I ask for help from @Dorian Bates).

 

There are multiple stages to this project:

 

Stage 1) Replace character art with NSFW artwork, like previously done to an extent with Aphrodite, Hera, Melinoe, Artemis, and Demeter.

 

Stage 2) Toggle SFW/NSFW for characters based on certain requirements:

          A) Equipping a certain new keepsake (that raises "heat") - this will require balancing too, but I have a great idea for it.

          B) Expanding the gifting system to include new, spicy gift(s?).

 

Stage 3) Special events/encounters

 

The end goal is to expand on the game a good bit - adding custom events, dialogue, and most importantly, art. Endgame would be voice acting, but that is a tall task, unless anyone could provide a well enough imitation of the characters voices.

 

I will be working on Stage 1 first, so that we have a way of experiencing the amazing artwork from @Dorian Bates as soon as possible. Once I figure the groundwork, adding new art will be a piece of cake.

 

For now, NSFW edits of existing goddesses are very much appreciated, and are crucial for this project to make sense on expanding.

Hades II Unveiled (🔥NSFW🔥) 18+ mod, with art from our @Dorian Bates.

 

It replaces some of Hades' hottest goddesses with even hotter art.

Took me a while to set up the ground work for Hades II, but we now have a pretty future proof mod, that will require only minor adjustments, as the game releases.

 

The first installation will take you about 15 minutes, but after that, you are all set.

(In my opinion, I gladly give up one run, so I can see some boobage on the next ones)

 

Note: I included almost every step, which might seem too much to most of you that are computer savvy, but this way a person with almost no computer knowledge can play the mod. The more, the merrier, I say 😌.

 

⚙️ INSTALLATION ⚙️

 

1️⃣ Download and extract the zip folder. 📂

 

2️⃣ Setup our mod "installer"- r2modman. - Needed for all future Hades II mods anyways.

 

     PROCESS:

   - Download, and install r2modman (https://thunderstore.io/package/ebkr/r2modman/). This is standard for Hades II mods.

   - Run r2modman, search for "Hades" in the search bar. Click "Select Game".

   - Select "Default" profile, or "Create New" (name it NSFW, for example).

   - On the left side menu you will see a "MODS" section. Click "Online".
   - You need to install essential mods, that are neccessary for most mods to run. Search for "ModUtil" and click on it, and "Download with dependencies".
   - Done. You should now have the number "7" next to the "Installed" text on the left side menu.
   - Click "Run modded" on the top left, and load the game once.
   - Close the game.

 

3️⃣ Find our target folder to copy into*

 

   - Open the unzipped mod folder (Medician-Unveiled)📂. This is where we will be copying from.
   - Press both "Windows + R" keys on the keyboard together.
   - Type %appdata%, and press ENTER.
   - It will open a file explorer window that puts you in C:\Users\user\AppData\Roaming (user will be your own name).
   - There, go to: ...\r2modmanPlus-local\HadesII\profiles
   - In \profiles open the profile we created in r2modman during step 2 (Default, or NSFW, etc.).
   - There open folder "ReturnOfModding".

   - This is where we will make the mod playable.

 

4️⃣ Copy-Paste step*
   
   - First create 2 folders, both named "Medician-Unveiled". One in ...\ReturnOfModding\plugins, and one in ...\ReturnOfModding\plugins_data.
   A) plugins_data:
   - From our mod📂: copy everything that is inside the "plugins_data" - 2 files (pkg).
   - ➡️Paste it in the other window in the ...\ReturnOfModding\plugins_data\Medician-Unveiled.

   B) plugins:
   - From our mod📂: copy everything that is inside the "plugins" - 6 files (config.lua, def.lua, main.lua, ...).
   - ➡️Paste it in the other window in the ...\ReturnOfModding\plugins\Medician-Unveiled.
   - From our mod📂: copy everything else that is in the folder (CHANGELOG, icon, LICENSE, manifest, README).
   - ➡️Paste in ...\ReturnOfModding\plugins\Medician-Unveiled

   DONE! 🙌

 

5️⃣ Run Hades II with some spicy art 🌶️

 

   - Open r2modman, select Hades II, then the profile. You will still see "7" mods, that's normal- it shows only online mods (we installed our's locally).
   - Click "Start modded"

Great job on this one. Just a suggestion though, you can skip most of the copy-paste step if you structure your folders from the get-go like:

 

plugins

    Medician-Unveiled

        <associated files>

 

plugins_data

    Medician-Unveiled

        <associated files>

 

This way, you can just copy-paste the plugins and plugins_data folders into the ReturnOfModding folder.

This is fantastic - I'm waiting for (closer) to final build to actually play, but downloaded for now anyway. Such a good job.

A (minor) question and a (minor) followup:
1) does this have options for if you want pierced vs unpierced, etc?
2) Let me caveat this second question with praise - I love that the artist matched genitalia, nipples, etc, to each character and that they're different and more realistic... But Hera's nipples are a tiny bit too out there for me, personally. Is there an alt version planned or is there one somewhere where hers are a *tiny* bit more traditional?

 

Fantastic work, looking forward to playing the game with this.

I too love Dorian's more realistic type genitalia, but I also really love Hera's different looking nipples.

 

Saying that, and assuming that there might be more variations of the same portrait in the future, I will look into making the mod compatible with pony's menu. That way each of you can set the art to the one you want/prefer.

Great idea. It would clash with hearing a male voice though. Chaos might pass having female art the easiest imo. That's an easy add, I just need the art. 😄

Looks like Demeter is scaled a bit bigger which crops the artwork at the top. Might be the same issue I mentioned before about game versions. Not a big issue though, just saying.

Nice, thanks for pointing it out. I must've cropped the portrait (the edit was part of an atlas .png) out wrong, 'cause I remember upscaling the image to get it to the game's GUI.textures39.atlas.json "original size"- results of late night work 💤. Will fix it today 😃

i'm playing version 0.103687 with this mod and it causes a 1 second lag between the controls and the game. it doesn't matter i'm on keyboard or gamepad. i had to reinstall the game but at least the mod didn't corrupt my save data.

That's weird. I couldn't tell you why that happened to you. A first in over 100 plays too, at least reported.

Is anyone else experiencing a lag with the mod? I'd like to get to the bottom of this, if this is a repeat offence.

 

Also, backup your save in any case. This mod doesn't really add items (YET) that would mess the game if they were added, and then the mod was removed on the same save file, but it's good practice.

Regarding this... From what I've been told, Dorian has been busy with real world things. I really hope he will be able to make a return, his art is amazing, and is appreciated widely on here.

 

I'm also 100% sure he would appreciate any nice thoughts and kind words from anyone of you that is willing to send him a DM on here, not for the sake of asking for his art, and return, but for offering your support for him in general. WIthout him, our horny selves wouldn't be able to enjoy the game in a way we wanted.

So please do send him a kind message or two (without being selfish and expecting anything in return). Everyone who sends Dorian a kind DM, send me a simple happy emoji in DMs, I have a reward for kind people.

 

That being said, there are some things in the works in the meantime, to fill the void... 🤫

Can you use the Nexus Mod "Hades II Alternative Portraits" and "Sexy Female Portraits" for the rest of the characters in the r2mod? These mods are based off of Hades2 Image Exporter_Importer which has not been updated in a while.
