Alright, got it working,, but, not compatible with other mods, and there's a sizing issue for some reason, it's still all visible, just scaled smaller than it should be, but, that might take several more days to fix, so I'll just upload these messy versions for now. Also, this is very unlikely to last between different early access updates, between the game itself and modding being in a very experimental state so far.

Thank you so much for your amazing job!

In my case I can see just the character caption and dialog with no picture. Is there anything I can trace or log for getting further information?

I'm assuming you haven't tried messing with the packages and repacking them, there hasn't been a new update either, I think, so same method should still work. I couldn't find a decent log myself outside of what comes from the modimporter log, and that just verifies that mods are loaded. I assume you also ran the modloader a second time as well, after throwing in the mod, becuase it probably wouldn't attempt to replace it otherwise.

I'm also assuming you've used the 0.2 file, and not that 0.1 that probably still are on the first page - No idea outside of that. I don't think it'd be even attempting to place if you didn't pickup ModUtil either.

One more thing, double checked, there's a new 4.0.0 ModUtil out - Maybe try one of the versions that start with a 3, they might've changed formatting or something for version 4. Let me know if it works, I'll edit the post to reflect it if so.

I will try back again later. Some things that made me make some progresses were that I had to rename the game folder to "Hades", as the modloader was not working with the standard folder name.

Also, I have tried on my Linux installation (as this is my main computer with keyboard and mouse), but I can give it a try also in my Windows installation (on a partitioned Steam Deck). If I get a success there, then the issue might be just the files names case sensitivity. I'll keep you posted about it.

Should be updated. Didn't bother to check anything beyond making sure it booted up, so, let me know if there's any issues. I'll be replacing my prior posts with it as well. Check them for instructions. Should be one on the first page.

Pierced 0.4.zip

Standard 0.4.zip

Current Characters:

Spoiler

- Aphrodite

- Demeter

- Artemis

Two things - One, did you grab the Hades 2 mod importer? The folder name "Hades II" should be the one that works, but not "Hades 2". Wrote a note about that somewhere. Other than that, I remember seeing a note somewhere that, I think it was modimporter, doesn't play well with linux. Not my work, and I have no idea how to go about making it compatible. Best of luck trying it on Steam Deck.

I don't really know what I'm doing, so I'm kinda doing it by trial and error. I got some good results for Melinoe, but I still wanna tweak it a bit.

I used:

  Reveal hidden contents

Automatic1111 img2img2 with controlnet and gimp for some touch-ups and to paint the clothes I want to remove

I've used these Loras (I haven't tested any other Loras, so maybe there are better ones, idk):
https://civitai.com/models/441395/ponyxl-melinoe-hades-ii
https://civitai.com/models/450529/ponyxl-nemesis-hades-ii
https://civitai.com/models/429227?modelVersionId=478222

This checkpoint:
https://civitai.com/models/257749/pony-diffusion-v6-xl

And this diffusers_xl_depth_small for the controlnet:
https://huggingface.co/lllyasviel/sd_control_collection/tree/main

I still have not been able to replicate any image with this setup. The inpaint is waay to variant to reliably create nudes.

Thanks for this! Not sure what my issue is but Hera is absent from her frame - all the other three work fine (except Aphro being a little smaller)

Look forward to more character arts to feature :)

There's apparently been an update for Hades 2, and, doesn't seem to be immediately working. I'll look into the changes I need to make, and update this once I've figured it out - Might only take a few hours, might be a day or two. No idea.

Edit: Seems like it'll require moving everything over to Hell2Modding, so, different modloader, and I have to set up some stuff as well - Should still accept the same format overall, though. I think. Hopefully. But, either way, it'll be a day or two minimum, but, should be changed within the week at the latest.

Melinoe's done

it's easier to move around in, or something

Amazing work! Lmao, no need to justify. We all know why were here.

Would be cool if there was an updated version of the different spa pictures, ones a bit more revealing. Feels like doable to shift the image up and show whats just out of view which would be a nice extra.

Haven't figured out how to do all the thunderstore stuff yet, I haven't touched it before, and there's a distinct lack of documentation to learn from for Hades II modding, and I simply haven't felt like searching through 7 different libraries to find the functions I need to call. On the bright side, though, apparently a tool was released on Nexus Mods that works with the current patch.
https://www.nexusmods.com/hades2/mods/42
The main issue is that, one, it's quite clunky. It's about  350 mb to download, so takes a few minutes, and injecting the sprites takes a while - 10 to 15 minutes. Grab a snack or something once you start the process.

Second issue is that some sprites are small - I have absolutely no idea why. Didn't have much luck figuring it out either. Still, the sprites are in the game, which, is good enough for now, I'd say. I'll probably stop attempting to work on any code myself until it's either further along in development, or this tool stops working and doesn't get updated.

Here's the folders, pretty simple structure.

Assets.zip

When you use the tool, set the Hades2.exe to the one in your Ship folder when you Browse Local Files, might take a little bit of searching, because, again tad clunky, think you have to browse for it from the GUI, but it works.

And just set the patch folder path to either the Standard or Pierced that's in this .zip file.

Pretty easy to add to it, whenever Dorian releases more, click it, click it with the magnifying icon so it opens in a new window, right click, save as, switch from WEBP to All Formats, and add .png to the end of the name, which should be something like Portaits_Demeter_01, which should become Portraits_Demeter_01.png, and if there's extra beyond that in the file name, just delete it all. Afterwards, put it in the folder, and patch again.

I'll keep the folders updated, but that's how to do it if it takes me a bit to get to it and you want it right now.

Throwing a disclaimer here:

It throws a warning to my antivirus, which, is understandable - This contains code to directly inject the pictures into the files, which injection is a method some viruses use to hide themselves, by putting their code into programs that you trust so that you can't find them. I think it's fine, but, I haven't looked through the code myself and directly verified, so, take it with a grain of salt.

Fantastic edits Dorian ♥ Excited to get this now, really enjoyed the first game but waiting for early access to be over before buying since I burnt out on the original before it was in its final form. Let's hope they don't break the mods with 1.0

It's because the resolutions between the edited and the original files are different. Probably because they've changed it between versions. For future reference, it might be better to re-extract the packages on new versions to check if the resolutions have changed. Here's a fix for the current version (Patch 4)
