Apparently, Britain is banning fake rape porn.

Oh interesting...  there is more to it than just the banning of rape porn.

Now ALL your porn is blocked by default.   If you want any porn at all.. you will have to ask Daddy ISP for it.

That way they can keep track of just how much of a filthy degenerate you are... you know.. to help decide what else they should take away from you.

I would say that I am glad to be in the USA right now..  But we all know the export ships will be arriving soon.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2372833/Internet-porn-depicting-rape-BANNED-Cameron-unveils-opt-rule-web-users.html

  • PM  warned that internet pornography is 'corroding childhood'
  • All internet-connected homes will be asked whether they want filters
  • And all new subscribers will have to opt out if they want obscene material
  • Porn simulating rape will also be banned under new legislation

EDIT: Oh and how much do you want to bet that this leads to the REAL point of all this...    Soon as they separate the people who WANT porn from those who do not.. they can start charging for the extra manpower required to bring you this additional service.

Yet another case where they are trying to take a job that is the sole responsibility of the childrens parents. It is not the governments Job to watch over and protect the children of their country it is the parents job to do that an NO ONE ELSE!!!!

I ran into this when researching attacks on net neutrality.  Might be a good thing for the people of the UK to look into these things as well.

I don't know if this is the ideal solution yet.  It's in baby phases and highly complex to set up.  But it's nice to have alternatives in case things hit rock bottom.

So maybe keep your fingers on the pulse of this thing.  (oh and you might want to write the sites down or bookmark them.. you know.. in case loverslab is labeled as hosting fake rape porn)

Mean while they say they're more free than the us.

I'd rather not have these kind of comparisons, or it'll land us in 'pure politics' and flaming, leading to thread closure. You'll find politicians in every country when it comes to stunts like this, nationality has nothing to do with it, and neither does political ideology, really.

Yeah you're right. I was trying to make a dumb sarcastic remark but failed.

Hopefully my post will be over looked or deleted. Which feel free to do the latter.

I'm so ashamed. I usually make better jokes/whips than that.

NSA, XKeyScore, PRISM... When GB got wind of the fact that the NSA was spying on them, down to the Ministers telephone calls, this spurred them to action and they are using this Anti-Porn agenda to launch the exact same systems of monitoring and spying, all the way down to your very desktop, Hell they are probably watching me type right now. The bigger problem with using the guise of anti-porn to launch an Internet Watchdog system will be those people who get their fix virtually, may now turn to reality instead, when their virtual fix is no longer available. Watch for a rise in sexual crime when this thing gets launched.

I hate to say it but i feel the UK has become a communist country, and i used to love being British but its all gone "we will imprison you for ridiculous reasons crazy"

Communist? Hardly; it's facist. As is America. Case in point; when has the little guy ever won against the "big guys" in a case that matters?

Never.

Are you sure about that?

Indeed. Bankster bailouts, wars in the middle east, etctera. Damn near everyone is against 'em, yet they happen regardless.

However many people enlist in the army, become mercenaries or just support these proxy battles, and they aren't "giants" themselves. If it feels that the "big guy" is ordering things around then why do people follow? Perhaps what we perceive as the morally just way of life, is perhaps the wrong one? Can we truly have peace whilst we depend so much on old values such as religion, culture and natural resources?

I think the number of factors to argue that the "small ones" have no control over the "big ones" is huge enough, but will always end up considering that the "big ones" always exist as long the "small ones" allow them to exist and to benefit from a give-and-take relationship between the two. You have to realize that those wars are done by people, the president of a huge corporation is a person, the president of the United States, is also a person. And all these people are humans. Very fragile creatures that make judgements, decisions and have their own views and opinions that are allowed to be where they are since other people allowed them to be there.

Meanwhile I don't agree with politicians, what some executives in a few companies decide, I always can't help myself to believe that the masses are helpless; the masses are the most powerful thing that ever existed, and throughout history (the masses) when revolting have thrown down governments, systems, criminals, innocents and sinners.

The reality is, that the "small ones" hold much more power than the "big ones" but it only becomes evident when something bad happens. Something very bad that allows the masses to finally spill out all the frustration building up in the hearts in a destructive way that will pave the road for another system, that in its place will also fall once more.

And in our case, today, the middle class is being butchered--fewer middle class citizens in the "first world" will automatically mean that any called Democratic Republic will be challenged by the prevalent two groups; either rich or poor. The thinner the said gap gets, the more we are shrinking democracy and the meaning of a republic, what remains to be seen is whether we will fool ourselves into becoming police states, or change into something else, possibly, better.

There's a lot to feel ill at ease about in the world we live in, but talking about it here sure isn't doing anything real about it. I tried to keep it light in the beginning but it didn't take. When words like fascism & communism, political parties & what not fly about in a discussion, experience tells me we're in for some stuff we decided we didn't want around anymore.
