I do have a lot of mods installed(Prime suspects are Smooth Patch, Nraas Relativity, KW, BoringBones's lighting mod) and I'm trying to figure out which one might be causing this. But I just wanted to see if this has been happening to others as well.

Hope you are doing well. The only report that I received that had communicated with me about experiencing extreme lag was an individual who did not have the updated Battery's C# Script Utility mod. After installing the updated Battery C# Script Utility mod, they reported that this has fixed their issue. May you please verify whether you have the correct one installed? The new one is only on Nexus mods.

@AlyxMS I don't experience that kind of lag and I have 3 of your 4 "prime suspects"; Smooth Patch version 1.2.1, 500 TPS (v2 is just too problematic IMO), KW and Relativity. I don't have a lighting mod though.

Yup! That's it! It's the battery CSharp Utility mod. The lag is completely gone now.

 

I had 1.043 instead of 1.047 because I clicked on the link from Simblr instead of the installation guide. Perhaps you might want to update that one?

KW hasn't been updated for years so I never checked Loverslab either, that's how I found this mod.

Mod was working great but now my sim can’t take a selfie for onlysims or simstagram. Videos work fine the the camera, but when my sim goes to take a selfie they will do the animation but the action never completes and I don’t get the picture or option to upload. Not sure what happened since I was uploading them fine like 20 minutes ago haha. I’m also pretty sure all the mods required are up to date, double check the c# one from the earlier posts. Not sure if it’s a bug or something on my end :,) and I’d have no idea how to replicate it. 
 

other than that, thanks for the mod! It’s pretty fun!

Sorry to hear that you are experiencing difficulties with taking selfies. I just have a few questions. Does it permanently no longer work for you? Also has your sim had any cosmetic surgery done? If so which ones? What is their gender, age, and what clothing category were they wearing when attempting to take a selfie? Were you on a community lot when taking the selfie or at home? If community lot which one? And was that lot busy? Sorry for all the questions lol. Just trying to see if I could test and replicate on my end. 🙂

Hey there! Absolutely love the mod, just have a quick question - when trying to make a WooHoo video with someone, is there a specific way or location I have to use? Cause I tried just woohooing in bed with the camera set up, but it didn't capture anything.

In order to shoot a woohoo video, you just need to woohoo with a sim while the camera is on in the same room. Make sure you get their consent. Otherwise no video will be produced.

I have caused a few problems with a save where I used the mod 😞

 

- when I deleted the mod, I got script errors and sims I had assigned as dealers were treated as foreign (as if they were sims from vacation worlds who can be invited)

- after unassigning the dealer role from the said sims and then deleting the mod, current household became unplayable and I got like a few dozen script errors, with lots of sims being suddenly deleted

- in yet another instance, I would get a steadily growing number of script errors, just one after another, for an unknown reason

I'm curious to know more about @Aphelion_'s situation. During the beta I got rid of the mod at some point to test out a specific bug that kept happening with the mod installed. And predictably, the game "threw a hissy fit" on load with objects missing, Sims getting reset and so on. But after everything finished resetting and ErrorTrap cleaned things up, the game was perfectly playable without any apparent bug lingering.

 Works in a new save and so far it’s still working and I’ve been playing longer than my other one now. Just noting that both saves were made after I installed the updated version. In the previous save where it stopped working, sim had no cosmetic surgery, female, YA and I tried in multiple clothing categories but not naked as well as community lots and at her home lot. I believe I initially noticed it didn’t work at a community lot in Lucky Palms and there was only 1 other sim on the lot. It was a pool near the military base. But questions are completely fine~! I’m not too attached to that save, it genuinely could have been a total fluke but if you manage to figure anything out, that would be awesome!

Been playing with it for a few days, it's been great but I think it could be improved even further, here's my feedback this far:

 

  1. Some basic ingredients like baggies are used pretty commonly, so it makes sense to keep some in stock. But they are not stackable, as a result they clutter up the inventory. I'd really appreciate if other items(like cigars) can be made stackable as well.
  2. Some items can be consumed multiple times, like a box of cigar or gummies, but there is no way to check how much remains. It would be nice to have an option.
  3. I manged to figure out how to make cigars, but no luck on cigarettes so far. (I assume it can be made since empty packages can be bought), can there be a guide?
  4. My sim had both a tobacco license and a cannabis license, but then she got arrested while selling. Lost her job a day after for that because her employer checked her criminal history. (Doesn't seem like she'll be able to hold any other jobs for long now, or is that a one time thing?) However I didn't find out how her losing her licenses until I tried to buy tobacco supplies. I think it would be nice if a message could pop up explaining her license got taken away and she's barred from applying again.
  5. The drying tobacco leaves interaction isn't available until you have 16 leaves. Once you do, only 15 will be taken away from your inventory, and the drying rack shows 15 leaves on it. Seems like a minor bug, the interaction should show up with 15 instead of 16.
  6. Same with curing cannabis and aging tobacco in the barrel, need 16 for the interaction, 15 removed from inventory.
  7. Things around aging tobacco are just weird. 1, When mousing over the dried leaves in your inventory, the mouse cursor doesn't change like other items, but you can drag them onto the floor. Once you do however, it can no longer be moved or interacted with in live mode. You can only move or sell it in buy mode. 2, Once the dried leaves are aged in the barrel, you'll need 15 more dried leaves in your inventory to collect 15 cigars, and they will be consumed too. If you aged 15 leaves and only have 1 more dried leaf in your inventory, you'll only be able to get 1 cigar from the barrel and have to wait until you have 14 more leaves.
  8. Posting on Simstagram will give you two notices about likes and how much subscribers you have gained from it. However while posting on OnlySims also gives subscribers, you are only notified about the amount of likes.
  9. This isn't an important suggestion or anything: Jolly Rancher and Sprite is used for making lean. But I think it would be cool if you could just consume them normally. Maybe it would give your sim the sugar related moodlet from World Adventure's nectars. Personally I feel like that would add to the immersion, that those are not simply crafting ingredients, rather ordinary things you are repurposing to make drugs.

 

Edit: Wait, I think I might have realized something. Since leaves don't just turn into cigars, it means I'm using leaves to wrap a cigar, right? Perhaps cigarettes can be made from the barrel using papers? I'm going to test it out when I have time.

Been enjoying playing this mod and having a great time but noticed two issues:

 

- My female sim started an OnlySims, but when she tried to make a video including another sim (e.g., kissing video, woohoo video), the video that was created showed up in the inventory of the other sim (in this case, a male sim in the same active family). When she tries to make a video with a male sim outside of the active family, no video can be found, even if I get the notification that the video is made - I assume it ends up in the inventory of the sim in the non-active household. When she tries to make a video with another female sim outside of the active family, I don't get any notification that the video is made. In all instances I tested, I made sure to ask for consent to be on OnlySims and to have the video filming in the same room as the activity.

- Ever since I installed the mod, my game has gone CRAZY generating service sims. Every few hours I look at my town population and find that the Service sim household has like 700 sims in it. I delete them but they keep coming back. It seems to be generating mostly mail carriers and paperboys, and some resort maintenance staff. It also happened once that a pregnant townie got caught it a loop while giving birth and ended up with 20 babies in her household. I have never had this happen in any save file before I installed this mod and can't seem to find a way to prevent it with NRAAS settings.

I can do #2, 3, 4 on a future update as a miscellaneous feature.

As for #1, this will not be done. Many functions rely on the baggies being seperated. If they were stacked, those functions would not correctly count the amount in your inventory. Hence it would create many bugs in doing this. 

 

As for #5 and #6, this is set up this way, because if I made it exactly 15, then the function would cause a script error when it is performed. To avoid this, I made the function require you to have an additional ingredient in your inventory.

 

#7, On my end I was able to move Drying Tobacco Leaves in and out of my sims inventory. 

 

#8, Posting on OnlySims does not net you any subscribers. You neet to post on Simstagram with a LinkTree connected to gain subs for your OnlySims. 

 

#9, maybe... in the future as a miscellaneous feature.

The mod has no script that would trigger this. May you confirm that you have the updated C# Script Utility mod that is found on NexusMods?  The link can be found in the installation guide. I have had a few reports about crazy lag, and crazy scenarios similar to your mention. And those have been fixed by either installing the updated C# Script Utility mod or if you already have it, to place it in your overrides folder. Let me know if the issue persists.

Thanks for the info. I'll see if I can try to replicate the issue when I get the chance to play the sims 3 again.

The part about the wrong Sim getting the tape is something that happened to me a ton during the beta and @MonocoDoll made a fix for that. At least as far as inactives go, the active Sim should always get the tape. If for whatever reason you believe the tape went to an inactive Sim and you have MasterController, you can select the inactive Sim and NRaas => MC => Basic => Transfer From, let the target be your active Sim and now you can transfer things from their inventory to yours.

I'm going to list the known issues of the current version I'm aware of, just in case anyone encounters them and wonders if they've done something wrong.

1) The OnlySims/Simstagram tiers are bugged; no matter your tier, you will only ever get the quotas of Tier 1 (which makes gameplay much easier than intended).

2) Quotas are renewed every Sunday 6 AM. If you Edit Town during that time or shortly after it and come back to your active household, you'll get the message that you failed your new quotas. And you will lose subscribers and get paid again.

3) Fan Mail sometimes gives you nothing, other times it gives a "white cube" with a missing resource in your family inventory.

4) If you get arrested, there's a fair chance your Sim will only ever walk with Go Here automatic after you're out of jail. Reset walk with DebugEnabler fixes that easily.

5) If you're on house arrest, you will be able to post about it on SImstagram. Forever. The option just won't go away even when the moodlet does.

I have encountered 3, though not the white cube variant.

 

Also 4. It took me a while to figure out, didn't make the connection with the mod until I noticed my other Sim wasn't having this problem. A reset Sim with Nraas fixed it. Luckily the Sim that was put under house arrest wasn't the one with a Simstagram account.

 

I also had an arrested Sim just plainly disappear after a police raid on my house(planted cannabis in the basement without a license, happened around 1 hour after inviting a friend there, maybe he snitched? He never walked into the basement though.) She was arrested like normal, but as soon as she got sent to jail, I got an error saying something like "ERROR: Invalid wants and needs manager" and the Sim just got deleted. Had to reload my save.

 

Edit: Upon reloading that save, I made my other Sim purchase a cannabis license. The police raid still occurred, just a few days later. This time the police confiscated just the shroom and coca. A message popped up about my Sim being arrested, but she wasn't. (I guess it's because she was in the middle of having KW woohoo and it glitched out?) Now the police hangs around the house as a regular guest, and I can just ask him to leave.

 

As for VHS tape ending up with the wrong person. I noticed kissing tapes seem to end up with the Sim receiving the kiss instead of initiating the kiss, the opposite of woohoo.

I did have the correct version of the C# Script Utility mod in my packages folder, I moved it to the overrides folder and it seems to have calmed things down a bit. I did still somehow end up with 55 resort workers after two days sim-time, but that is MUCH better than the 1000+ that were being generated in less than 1 day. The whole thing runs much smoother.

I recall a report where somone had a similar issue. However, it was 100+ repairment spawning in. Not entirely sure what is causing this issue for some. I wish I knew what I could look at, but I honestly have no clue. My script doesn't have a function that would spawn in any repairment or resort workers. If you do happen to learn what is causing the issue later down the road, please tell. I am rather curious now. Here is a link to the similar report. However, for them it was fixed after placing the Script Utility mod into their overrides folder. And thanks, I'm glad you are enjoying the mod. 🙂
