Hey, hope you are having a great labor day. What would most likely cause the crashing when selecting an Drug Dealer NPC is not having Battery's C Sharp Script Utility installed. Would you mind showing me a screenshot of your mods folder with this mod on it. I have had cases where people just forgot to unzip this file.

Oh! Thank you so much for that detail! Its all set now.  its weird cause the file was a winrar but had the icon of a common package file, and not the classic winrar icon. i tried to extract the ''package'' file and it actually worked!! i never noticed it said winrar file at the end and not .packagefile lol haha. Thanks again for helping me that soon ❤️

Hi I currently have all third party apps downloaded and every single expansion pack installed. I obtained a marijuana license to buy cannabis seeds from the grocery store and grow them, but the game crashes every time I do without fail. I installed every mod, what could be the issue?

off the topic of the drugs may i just say that sim is- she's thick asf i'm assuming you were using the sliders because i love using those and on the topic of the of loverslab i found out that the person who made wicked whims for sims 4 got the idea to make that mod from the KW sims 3 mod just like you got the idea from basemental and i already know i gonna love both

I love this mod! But unfortunately I'm having some issues.

I can grown marijuana and buy everything I need to make drugs, but I can't buy or sell them

I've assigned a sim that has all the "bad" traits, maxed out his drug dealing skills and yet I can't seem to buy from him. (I did all this with Nraas Master Controller)

Help?

Hi, you would need to assign a Drug Dealer NPC in order to buy from someone. Have you utilized the assign Drug Dealer NPC interaction? Additionally, in order to begin selling drugs you would need to inquire about drug dealing to a Drug dealer NPC. have you gained permission to deal?

Yes, I've assigned a drug dealer and gained a really high relationship with them, but I still can't buy from them

Have you read the guides at all? The Drug Dealing Guide will assist you. Here's a nice booklet that someone had put on together. Monoco Doll's Vile Ventures (Drug Dealing) : Monoco Doll : Free Download, Borrow, and Streaming : Internet Archive . Otherwise you could download the guides from the download section. If you are stuck at a specific point feel free to let me know and we can review it together.

Here are a few images I took real quick while in the game. Hopefully these will help out. 

So first, we will select our own sim and locate the MonocoDoll's Vile Ventures Pie menu option

You will then select Drugs... and then Settings...

Then select Assign Drug Dealer

After, you will be able to select a Drug Dealer NPC. Choose your designated Drug Dealer NPC.

Once you choose your designated Drug Dealer NPC, meet with them and befriend them.

Make your way to the Purchase Drugs... Interactions. MonocoDoll's Vile Ventures/Drugs.../Purchase Drugs...

Afterwards, you will be able to see what is available in his supply and purchase drugs.

I'm so sorry for taking so long to reply!

Without trauma-dumping too much, there's been a lot of death in the family the last two weeks u_u

 

But I found the issue! Turns out I had accidentally deleted Arsils custom traits manager when removing another one of their mods.

Everything works great now and I have an arms dealer married to a crack addicted prostitute ^_^;;

Good to know that getting fired had nothing to do with a KW conflict though, that was the bigger issue really. The heat level being prevented from going to negatives makes sense, I was just too paranoid that it broke too after that arrest haha.

Hey Just wanted to reach out and mention the topic of the "soft reset" situation you had in the passed. So funnily enough, this has occurred to me while I was testing the upcoming update. Thankfully, I saved before the officer came to arrest my sim and was able to mess around with the code until it stopped repeating the arrest after the sim was driven to the police station lot. It's odd, because it worked in the passed. Perhaps it was not a one off thing. The updated code for this will be provided in the upcoming update. Thank you so much for reporting this.

@MonocoDoll I'm glad you were able to replicate it! I only experienced it that one time but then again I've been avoiding arrests altogether if I want to keep playing because of being unable to hold any kind of job. I did a few tests before exiting the game at times, but could never get the arrest to bug out like that.

That's understandable. You'll be pleased to know that you will have an option in the settings to remove felonies from specific sims in the upcoming update😉. Would you be open to testing the upcoming update? I appreciate your feedback and the bugs you have reported in the passed.

@MonocoDoll I'd be happy to test it out. And from your attached screenshot I'm actually more excited about the option to manually set drug opinion and addiction predisposition, that is excellent! I can just imagine the story potential of a proper Sim keeping up appearances while secretly enjoying drugs or a straight edge evil lunatic that becomes a serial killer of drug addicts.

Hey i love this mod but i just wish people wouldnt get so mad when i do drugs.  I read the tunable guide up and down. went through many processes. i cant find the XML_Tag 

I did find the Monocodoll_drugmod package (i know im typing it wrong lol i deleted everything to start the process over) im lost and the reaction is the only thing i want to change, its weird having your drug addicted sister getting mad at you for doing drugs when i did open the drugmod package with notepad i got a bunch of jumbo up nonsense

Since I've tested the beta of the new version quite a bit, I thought I'd share some things to keep in mind for those of you trying it out for the first time:

1) The Muscular trait is very finicky. It seems to be given the same way the game registers a Sim having become more muscular. The keyword is "more"; a Sim has to gain muscle to get it. So let's say you get it on a Sim, save the game and load it later. There's a good chance that on load the trait will be taken away, because the Sim hasn't "gained muscle" since you loaded. Thankfully you can just add it back manually via the mod menu (or MC => Basic => Purchase Rewards actually). The one for natural breasts fortunately doesn't have that issue since it's a value that normally doesn't change.

2) On the topic of things getting weird when you load the game; if you save the game when your Sim has an addiction and is not high or experiencing withdrawal and you exit the game, upon load you are never going to go through withdrawal unless you use a drug again. So if you want to "cheat" quitting cold turkey, you absolutely can.

3) Speaking of quitting cold turkey; things that remove negative moodlets like meditation from World Adventures do work for the addiction moodlets.

4) OnlySims has ludicrous money-making potential if you invest the time in it. And it doesn't feel too "cheaty" because @MonocoDoll did a fantastic job "gating" skill progression.

5) That said, if you want an effective way to gain subscribers; have your Sim dance, put down a camera. In a few seconds it will record a tape and turn itself off. With your Sim still doing the same dance, turn the camera back on. Another tape. And another. And another. And another... Repeat until satisfied.

You can make heroin out of it with the chemistry table. I told @MonocoDoll that the guide is misleading about the ingredients, but he's only human and probably forgot to fix that.

The correct ingredients are 16 opium and 5 baggies, that is all.

You are most likely missing at least one of the required third party mods. Check the installation guide .pdf.

I don't know why but as soon as my Sim creates an OnlySims page, the game lags like crazy.

 

I have a fairly decent computer with smooth patch installed and configured at 1000 TPS. The usual kind of lag I encounter just freezes the game for less than a second. But creating an OnlySims page would max out a CPU thread and the games goes into sub 20 FPS. During which, every in-game minute would take 5 real life seconds to pass, making it basically unplayable.

 

I do have a lot of mods installed(Prime suspects are Smooth Patch, Nraas Relativity, KW, BoringBones's lighting mod) and I'm trying to figure out which one might be causing this. But I just wanted to see if this has been happening to others as well.
