[REL]HGEC body restored

Ryu

Recommended Posts

Hello every! Maybe some of you know me through the numerous CBBE and UNP conversions I've done :).

Introduction:

Recently I resumed my long abandoned project on porting the HGEC body to Skyrim.  I decided that I have enough experience to make it happen this time for sure. You'll probably say that we already have tons of body mods like CBBE, UNP, Dreamgirl, etc. and even ADEC. However, if you've played Oblivion for hundreds of hours like me, you'll notice that compared to current body mods, HGEC was a masterpiece, a work of genius. Hentai Gentleman has done something that no one has surpassed so far.  After really close inspection of HGEC model vertices I noticed that the body is extremely anatomically correct, even with edges aligned in a way to simulate ribs.

Therefore, as a tribute to HG and as a contribution to all great TES modders I plan to restore HGEC to Skyrim!

Changes to the original:

The body is not going to be exactly HGEC as you might expect. Although the anatomical details were perfect, the proportions rather unrealistic. Hence, I've made some alterations to the original:
- legs taken from UNP (due to good knee anatomy) and remodeled
- arms taken from UNP (reason as above)
- new realistic belly button
- improved, less steep shoulder arc
- remodeled rib cage
- increased breast size
- full TBBP support (bouncy booty and boobies ;D)

- full HDT support (even more bounce!)

Current progress:

- beta ready

- added 3D labia, looks relatively realistic

- breasts slightly enlarged to get more bounce (scalable through ECE sliders!)

- HDT support with nice, realistic bounce

Note on weight sliders:

The body has only the femalebody_0 (0% weight slider) right now, but you have to set the weight on the slider to 100% to remove the neck seam. I've done some testing and I noticed the problem is partially my body model having no weights in the neck collar region, but also some strange head morphs changing the neck size regarding ECE. Considering that other body mods have far greater problems, I'd say it still looks pretty good ;D.

Future plans:

- conversions and original clothing!

Credits:

- to dimon99 for the arms and legs of his (he...he...) UNP body

- to Hentai Gentleman for his awesome creation, the HGEC body

- to Dragonfly for TBBP mechanics and skeleton

- to xp32 for the original skeleton

- to GECK0 for the 3d labia

the HGEC body for oblivion was a masterpiece, but for skyrim it comes to peeks!

there are so many body types and especially the related armor. how long it would take up the armor for the HGEC were done, it would take too long to turn the first conversions are done? I have found my perfect body for skyrim and not making the world can separate me from this body, it is the CHSBHC BBP.

I agree with Winny/ Winny hat recht, it was my favourite bodytype in Oblivion but (hate to admit) there are too many bodytypes with little to none clothing/armour converted. CHSBHC plus it's variants have nice amount of existing ones, and CBBE even more.

If it would come as a selectable TBBP preset to BodySlide++ it wouldn't need own armour or clothing conversations.

Send me the UV map and NIF file. I will make the texture.

I's also a big fan of HGEC and ZKEC.

Let's start it with the vanilla dirty texture.

PS: I'm using the modified vanilla textures (for UNPB/7B and SOS) because I like the authentic and uniformity look of Skyrim.

Great, thank you!

I've sent you the needed files ;).

Ah, I missed so much with HGEC. I just replayed again my Oblivion and see the HGEC bodies using SetBody. So many body curve types and breast shapes.

Actually I like the natural look of HGEC breast like:

HGEC Classic H-Cup A (this is what big breast should look like),

HGEC Classic J-Cup (super big!),

HGEC Iroiro Oppai F-Cup (interest shape).

ZKEC Kaiaku F-Cup (perfect natural breast).

Hi, I'm huge fan HGEC and i'm eager to see it in skyrim.

Here is my little input.

I made almost 1 button click texture converter from any UNP compatible texture to HGEC

Here's how it works:

It's not 100% accurate please be aware.

Hope it helps :)

Wow, this will actually help me a great deal since I'm still rebuilding the body to be more anatomically correct, yet still smexy.

I'm using Blender 2.49 due to the lack of Nif Scripts for Blender 2.6+. However, this seems promising so I'll give it a try :).

Can I send you a .blend file so that you can give the body I'm working on a try?

I'm slightly worried that the shading on UNP will not emphasize the anatomical intricacies of HGEC, though :(.

Well, i'm actually pretty bad at texturing, so i can't really fix shading.

I just wanted to help you and GECK.O to speed up the process :)

So  a quick update guys! I refitted UNP legs to my model, adjusted the belly region a bit and made the shoulders less pronounce ;). The lower parts of the body look pretty good already. I especially like how the butt is moving with TBBP support, though the movement might be a bit too excessive. Probably will work on it a bit in the future.

On one hand I would like to start working on the textures asap, on the other hand the body still might need some reshaping to be done. For instance, the slope between the head and shoulders is still a bit too steep for my taste.

After I'm done, I might want to finally learn how to make the body into a customizable Bodyslide preset. Would be nice, I guess :D:D.

Do you intend to fix the godawful stick arms HGEC had or is this simply going to be a straight port?

I couldn't do a straight port exactly due to the position of arms in Oblivion models :P. I know 3D Studio Max has a plugin that allows smooth repositioning along the skeleton bones, but I'm using Blender.

Originally I took the arms and legs from CBBE, but lately I added UNP legs, because the knees look better.

Are you OK with CBBE arms? :D

Right now I still have to work on the rib cage, since it's slightly too wide. I'll post screenies when I have them.

Actually, it's already done for the draft texture in several hours.

But the project was stopped, because I think it's better if Ryu rescaling the UV map to UNP, so it can use tons of UNP texture right away without any conversion first. Basically the UV map look very similar to standard Skyrim UV map, just at different scale.

I got a python script error message when I try to load it into the Blender 2.49b.

May be someone who are familiar to rescaling UV map can help? :)

I know for a fact that sometimes Blender is unable to copy the UV map directly from one object to another even if the vertex count matches. Hence, direct copying is most likely out of the question even if I somehow magically make the number of vertices exactly the same as in the UNP model ;P.

Today I'll try to fix the rib cage a bit, since I feel it's blown out of proportions and while it looked relatively good in Oblivion, it doesn't look so in Skyrim :(.

Oblivion good times.

The time is long gone and by the way what was good about Oblivion?

The original game was mediocre, it was only by good mods!

das original spiel war mittelmäßig , es wurde erst durch mods gut !

Mediocrity nostalgia  ;)

Depressingly bad though Oblivion was, I agree that HGEC (and its many variations) was a damn fine body. When I fire it up in NifSkope, even the poly count makes me drool. I would love to see its equivalent(s) in Skyrim. Clothes & armor aren't that important to me since my PC and her companions like to run around in invisible armor. So I'm a perv. Sue me.

Skyrim without mods is crap and lets not forget list of game crippling errors that skyrim has. People that had ps 3 version where the ones that got screw over the worst. So in conclusion skyrim is even more mediocre then oblivion.

Sorry for the screenshots, guys. it seems Skyrim Image Uploader has either removed my pics or there was a crash and they had to recover :(.

Anyways, I've UV mapped the whole body to UNP so that all of us can use UNP textures freely ;). Not sure how well this will turn out as I'm still welding the whole body together.

Hopefully I'll post new screenies tomorrow :D.

EDIT: I managed to partially fit the UNP textures to the HGEC model I recreated, but the seams are showing a lot and I need to refit the textures. Currently I am testing a new strategy that should provide better results :).

EDIT 2: The refitting strategy works and I am able to make the seam go away. The body should be finished and properly textured till the end of this week!!.
